My husband and I went to Dixie Grill for lunch, (first time.) We both ordered a triple decker club sandwich with fry's. I got the roast beef, he got the turkey ham and cheese. We split it up so we could try both the sandwiches and were impressed. It was like your old fashioned triple decker club back in the day! The roast beef was rare, fresh tomato and crisp lettuce, it was delicious on lightly toasted white bread. The bacon, ham, turkey and cheese was also perfectly delicious. The fry's were excellent, crispy and plentiful. The server was a somewhat slow to take our order but was very pleasant and was Johnny on the spot on the tea refills. Cute place, price was right and the food was very good, I highly recommend. I think we'll try a breakfast next. read more

Went there for lunch today. It wasn't crowded. Plenty of open tables both inside and out. Was told to sit anywhere. After not having anyone come to the table for at least 15 min, I went in and asked for menus. The woman behind the counter said someone would bring them right out. Would not give them to me. We almost left at that point and should have. Finally someone comes and brings menus and takes drink order. Then, after more waiting, another server finally came to take our order. Food took quite a while to arrive. Food was fair. No one came back to see if we wanted refills. Finally got the check after another wait. In total, we were there 1-1/2 hours to get two sandwiches. Not sure what's happened here but it used to have much better service. Won't be back. read more

This place is so very good! I can't with my 87 year old mother and she tends to be a picky eater. She loved everything we ordered. We ordered a lot of food for 2 of us and the bill was a lot lower than we thought it would be. Not only that, but everything was cooked to perfection. They have some really good French Toast. Not just a single huge slice, but regular bread and several slices. With bacon and eggs. Again everything was just so outstandingly good. The staff at the restaurant are some of the nicest people. They were so friendly and caring. They went out of their way to make my mom and I happy. We will be coming back again. read more

First this place is cash only and it's not posted anywhere that we could see. Second the food is ok but the service is the worst I've had, maybe ever. We got there at 1:15pm and when our server took our drink order she told us we need to hurry and order because the kitchen is closing. She tried to take our food order with a minute of sitting down. The kitchen mixed up our food, I would have told the server this had she ever checked on us. She was rude from minute one. She dropped off the check, I had to ask for another drink (since it had been empty for awhile), and togo boxes. We put cash down, she asked if we need change and we said yes. She said have a nice day and I had to repeat we need change. She came back and put the cash on the table and walks off. No thanks or anything. The food isn't good enough to deal with service like that. We will never come back here. read more

We regularly visit this location for breakfast on Sunday morning's! Our most recent visit was 11/27/22. That visit will be our last. Not sure what is going on here but there were several disgruntled employees working this day. Our server advised us this may be her last day! Also there was an open spat between another server and the boss server. In addition, the food quality was down several notches. We also had difficulty getting additional water, napkins, and additional condiments. We recognize that there are serious staffing difficulties in the restaurant business and we adjust as necessary. However when such public difficulties blend into food quality, we draw the line and find another location. Hopefully these problems will be rectified soon! read more

I had a bad experience while eating here today. First, they were not mask compliant. When it was brought to their attention I was told they chose not to wear them and should go elsewhere as there were others in the area that were. Against better judgement I stayed as there were only a few people in there at the time and I was hungry. Big mistake. I ordered the breakfast platter. The home fries were hard, tasteless and unseasoned. The biscuits and gravy were inedible. The biscuits were mushy. They gravy was bland and tasted like flour. The coffee was watery and tasteless. I picked up my friend and we headed to a quiet and family-run restaurant Dixie Grill on Dixie Highway. For a terrific breakfast you certainly will enjoy Dixie Grill. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and the food is great. What you order is what you get. In Miami sometimes what you order isn't what you get because there are so many things going on. Not here. While I find Stuart to be very quiet and low-key, it doesn't mean your meals have to take a back seat. Went to the Dixie Grill today. We arrived at 12:57 pm and the open sign was displayed in the window. At which time an server who is in her 50's told us that they were closed. I find this highly irregular that an establishment stating on their sign "breakfast and lunch" would close at the peak of lunch. There were several people eating in the restaurant. We left and ate at another establishment down the street. Which we had a very good dinning experience. To summarize: good food + bad customer service = loss of customers. read more

Finally found the cleanest of the dirty tables and sat down for five minutes with no one bringing us a menu so went up to the counter and had to grab our own. Nice service and there always seems to be seating even when it's super busy. I have been here a couple of times and I do prefer lunch to breakfast. The tuna melt on rye with coleslaw is my absolute favorite. Breakfast was a little hit and miss for me but I don't eat all the tasty pork products I saw being delivered to all the other tables, those plates looked stacked and fantastic. My breakfast here was a spinach feta omelet and I thought it needed a bit more feta, and eggs were a little overcooked. Predictable short order griddle food served fast and friendly.
