I am almost beyond words at how frustrated and disappointed I am with my current service experience at Dixie Ford; a dealership I have worked with for years and will no longer be using. I say current because I am currently stuck at work with no car and no way to get home amid the largest snow storm of the year. I show up on Tuesday last week for a scheduled maintenance, vehicle report card and brake check. I mention that there is a problem with the back hatch has an alarm going off when being opened. They ensure they will look into it and that it would be covered by warranty. When I arrive to pick up my car a 5pm they tell me that it was just a sensor that needed to be wiped (a service they were more than happy to charge hundreds of dollars to Ford for on Warranty). Upon checking out assuming that the issue was fixed and all the service was completed and head out to my vehicle to find that all they did was the sensor and the issue was still present... nothing had been fixed. I went back into the service desk and asked if they had verified the problem was resolved and was asked to leave the vehicle overnight, having to source a work vehicle to get back to Toronto. All I had asked was that they plug in my vehicle for an hour so the battery voltage didn't drop to low and damage the battery. The next day I call in around noon to ask for an update to be told the technician is with my vehicle and they will give me call when it is done. I come back after being called at the end of the day after being called to pick up my car to find that the issue has not been fixed yet again... when I spoke with the foreman his response was "I don't believe you... show me" to which I went out and showed him the issue was still there at which point he said "OK, we will order the parts that the technician recommended"............... They had told me it was fixed when the technician had told them that a part needed to be replaced to resolve the issue. Salt on the wound and gas on the fire the battery was never topped up and as I drive away I get a Christmas tree of warning lights and alarms all over my dash for low voltage and cold battery and reduced performance to which the foreman has the arrogance to say "Yea, you really shouldn't let the battery get low... it's really bad for the car and can cause a whole array of issues"... not like I asked if it would be charged or I would take it home to charge it and was told by the service tech "Absolutely! it will be charged and I will make sure it is inside overnight!" Parked outside all night and never plugged in. Parts get ordered... waiting until the following week and I bring my car in on Wednesday for the repair, confirming that the vehicle will be repaired before the end of the day. Calling in at 2pm to confirm and told it will be ready and someone will call if there is an issue so I can arrange another vehicle if I need too. I call at 5:05; 20 minutes before I am done work for the day to a "Service is closed for the day" voice mail and a member of the sales team that said they will try and get a hold of someone to give me a call back. I am now stranded at work in Mississauga with no vehicle to get back to Downtown Toronto where I live (clearly communicated to multiple members of the service team including the service manager that I needed notice to get a work vehicle). I'm sitting here at 6pm with no car and no call back. I am beyond words... Worst dealer experience I have ever had... Not being able to identity a problem is one thing... sometimes things just don't work and are difficult to troubleshoot... this absolute joke of a service and customer service team, unfulfilled promises, non-existent communication and being left high and dry amid the largest snow storm of the year... unacceptable, unprofessional, embarrassing on a monumental scale. read more

The Service Department is EXCELLENT!! Honest and reliable. One of the best dealerships I have dealt with!!! 10 out of 10!!!!! I have had extensive experiene as designing Mechanical Engineer for dozens of new dealerships and renovation projects throughout the Greter Toronto Area. I have come to know dealer principals and service managers, and can say that the Hogans, who own Dixie Ford, are top notch people. My name is Leeanna, and my Ford Explorer had broken down 20 min north of Oshawa. After a lengthy conversation with roadside, they had agreed to tow my vehicle to Mississauga (as I was 164 km away from home and agreed to not put a claim in for service interruption). My vehicle was towed to Dixie Ford. I've never been to Dixie Ford and did not know what I was in for. Let me tell you, at first, my experience was frustrating, but after speaking with Zana and Barry (the service manager), my situation turned out to be a pleasant one. I do recommend Dixie Ford, as they went above and beyond what I was asking for. If I lived in Mississauga, I would surely return, if I happen to be in Mississauga, I know I will return. Friendly and caring dealership. Huge difference to Dixie Mitsubishi located right across the Dixie Rd. All questions and concerns are being addressed properly, no usual dealership's annoying stuff like "cannot reproduce your problem", "all these cars have this issue so it is not an issue" and so on. Flexible schedule, convenient online booking, 2 shuttles to save on time. The only real complaint is terrible exit to Dixie Rd bad even normally but with this endless nearby construction sometimes turning a nightmare taking you be a racer driver to squeeze into the traffic, especially when turning left to Dixie southbound. But once again, even with this flaw the place is good. I highly recommended it to all Ford owners. read more

I purchased a trade in vehicle from Dixie Ford. I drove it home and the engine blew up in 2km. I asked several members of the sales team for a partial refund and they kept suggesting the Canadian tire that performed the safety inspection for it tampered with the engine, and was basically told to screw off. Even the CEO suggested that the engine might have been swapped by the Canadian tire that did the service... Mind you the car was at the Canadian tire for about 4 hours. The sales person that sold me the car offered me a partial refund however the CEO told me not to take that and bring the car back to the dealership so they could "take care of me". I wasn't told about what was happening with the car for almost a week and then I was quoted $2400+ for service and parts, way more than it would have cost at any local mechanic. After I complained to the CEO they proposed a deal. For almost a week I was told time and time again that it would be ready to pick up and then when I came to pick it up, I was told that it would be ready tomorrow. I realized eventually that Adam the person handling my service, didn't have much of a clue about what was going on when one day he told me that the all that was left to do on the car was to assemble the front end and it would only take about an hour. Anyone that is mechanically inclined would know this is definitely at least a whole day operation. After I finally got it back, I wasn't told of any issues, and when I drove it back I couldn't even make it home. The engine overheated and coolant fumes started coming out of the dash and dripping onto the carpet. The coolant soaked several parts of my car including the gauge cluster, radio, wiring, and carpets. I called the dealership and was told that someone from the service department would call me and get a tow back to the shop. The call never came and I was left there all night. After a week I was told that this has nothing to do with the engine replacement and got quoted $2300+ for the job. I took the car back and had it inspected and what was found was a clear indication that someone had damaged and bent the heater core inlet during service. There is no possible way it could have been damaged like this on it's own. Just look at the pictures, with all the pictures and video that's been taken it's quite clear.... After all this headache and learning what happened I didn't want to bring it near Dixie Ford again. I asked for a refund for the service and damage to the vehicle and have been turned away. I have lost a great amount of money dealing with Dixie Ford, no to mention with all the tows, cabs, and disruptions to my occupation. #ThanksDixieFord #FordCanada read more

Gone are the days of good customer service. Please note, this review reflects only the sales area and not the service side. I would strongly suggest shopping elsewhere unless you are desperately looking to buy the same immediately. I'm in the market for a winter/rainy day car was looking to lease a 2017 Explorer Sport. To my benefit, I'm not in a rush by any means. I was assisted by Pankaj who seemed to lack enthusiasm, lacked drive and overall was not willing to make a sale. Our Test Drive I didn't get an accurate price, I didn't get a list of the features - It was a dead quiet awkward drive. Nothing was explained, I had to tell him to take my Driver's License as he didn't bother to check. After The Test Drive Not sure if this is a local trend but it seems like I have to resort buying out of the GTA. By no means at all was I able to get a proper price - Unless I was willing to sign, put down money for my first visit. This is ridiculous, how you can no longer get a price to compare to the next dealer or even to save money. I was asked by Pankaj - When are you ready to buy or put a downpayment; Naturally I would need to compare pricing and think it over so I said the following day. He immediately turned the business away and said "Then I'll see you tomorrow" A completely awkward interaction and a waste of time. Complete refusal to work something out or provide a price. Thankfully, I did my shopping around and atleast got a price from a proper salesman at Heritage Ford (Ask for Bill) to compare it to. I presented this to Pankaj and he would only tell me whether or not they could match and beat it if I signed on the spot. If you plan on shopping around, save this place for the absolute last. If you're desperate for a vehicle and are ready to sign, you are the clientele they are looking for. Not a good way to make money, those of you internal employees reading this - I see some really good feedback from Scott, Scott feel free to message me if you're able to work out a rate or a price. I bought my 2008 Ford Edge from Dixie Ford in 2008. I love the car. It is comfortable, spacious and reliable. We have just returned to Toronto after a 5 da, 4 night trip from San Diego. It was comfortable, and I have to say the word again, reliable. We love the looks and features, inside and out, as well. We have brought the car to Dixie Ford for all our service, scheduled and when needed. The service department has always treated me very well. As I am disabled, they have regularly serviced my car asap, making the wait both reasonable and comfortable. Zana is my favourite service coordinator. She is friendly and does her best to make my waiting time as little as she can. The service people explain what is needed, show me the faulty part if appropriate, and make sure the car is in good order before I leave. The next car we buy will probably be a "green car".
