20-yr old Chevy 5500 RV with HydroMax brake system - brake module went haywire - couldn't find local repair shop willing to even look at the issue (and was hesitant to drive it anyway). No such thing as a "new" module, even from GM - and ebay take-off's...no way. Nearly a month of off-and-on troubleshooting, and I learned more about EBC systems than I cared to. Tried three other "repair/rebuild" outfits in the U.S., but they all said, "nope." Contacted XeMODeX - filled out form - got confirmation back that they could do it - paid the fee, and got UPS shipping label in e-mail. Really quick-turn on it, but then the symptoms had changed to something equally inoperable. Absolutely NO issues with their warranty-return. company is terrible. I paid them 375$ to fix my ABS module. they then call me and say that it's unrepairable. I ask for my money back and they say I can only get 250$ back. I then ask to speak to a supervisor and he was just very condescending. 'so what your saying is that you don't want to pay the bill your on the hook for?' I explain that I've already paid I want my money back but he insist I owe them for a test fee. I paid to have my module FIXED not tested. he refused to refund me my money for a service that he could not complete. read more

I hadn't a chance to experience any service from the company because they just refused to provide it without any consent from my side. It is a very frustrating order processing, where after a payment you can wait up to 3 days until you get the shipping label fr which you have paid. I submitted my payment for the test service, as well for the shipping. I received a conformation email, that the payment succeeded. There were no other instructions in the email. I tried to call them, but it was a Saturday and they didn't answer. I wrote an email, they didn't answer as well. Despite the sipping price was about $40, I payed $60. First on Tuesday noon i received the label by email. I wrote right away that I already shipped the item and asked then for a refund for one way shipping. Instead of doing it, they requested more money from me! It was just $16! I told them that the sum is not significant to me. I value time more than money. If they want I can pay the company for its own failure. On the next day I received an email from the general manager who probably was insulted and he told me that they refuse to test my DME and will send me it back. Terrible company to send a cem module to, wish I could leave a 0 star review customer service tells me it's not my cem module anymore after I sent it to them and they apparently "replaced it with a new one" they sent it back to me and I had the same issues now they're telling me to send it to a Volvo specialist because they are incapable of any repairs in my opinion, they also say on their website they'll send it back in 3 days and it took them a week to "repair" my module so I'm giving this place a big fat zero. read more

I had a problem with my 2004 Volvo XC70. The ABS Brake Control Module was faulty. I went to a local mechanic and he asked $1800 to fix it, I was like WTF! The whole car's worth $5k! If I went to stealership I'm sure it would have asked at least $2.5! After looking online on forums, I found a couple of people recommending Xemodex. They were amazingly organized and professional.
