Great for a family diner. Love the fried chicken. The breakfast menu is great too. They have a drive thru as well.

I was very happy with the service we received. My adult daughter has multiple food allergies and sometimes it's a challenge. She really wanted fish and chips but the batter contained one of her allergens. They suggested dipping the fish in flour and pan frying. It was awesome that they did this for her. just now We have been going to Dixie Diner for a long time. I dont usually bad review places but the last few times have been disappointing...esp this time! Not only did I get the wrong salad, the poor chicken looked like it was previously cut up on someone else's plate and chucked into the salad...there was also an entire chicken wing buried in the mess. I wondered why I was asked what size...when I corrected the person taking the order and said I wanted the chicken salad with a tortilla shell but with broasted chicken strips...and they confirmed yes. I assumed something must have changed. My son got the ribs and they were very salty and not like they have been previously. My husband had the veal parmesan and had no complaints. read more

First time since pandemic that we've returned to Dixie Diner. Didn't go inside but ordered through the drive-thru. We both got Dixie Super Nachos. We had no idea the chips would be extremely salty. Might be back for other menu choices but not those. Some people have salt restrictions. Staff members were friendly though. read more

Even though all had happened in the community the servers and employees at this establishment have been positive. Went a couple time and had Shayla as our server and we have no complaints one of the best waitresses I have been served by. Best dang broasted chicken in Oakland county. Hot, juicy and simply delicious. Blows away Chicken Shacks over priced chicken. When you order their dinner you get mashed potatoes, gravy, buttered corn and a dinner roll for a great price. Also, you can order the chicken anyway you want. All legs, 2 wings, 2 breast whatever mix you want. I'm just sorry it took me so long to try this place. I even had them cater a meal for 24 guys and it got devoured. We went to have chicken and decided to both get cod. We were both very disappointed. The fish batter was not crisp and the the fish was rubbery. The tartar sauce tasted off as if it was starting to go bad. The boasted potatoes and onion rings were both not crispy and seemed as if they were reheated and not made fresh. Also for $26 dollars for two cod dinners the portions were not very large. We each got 3 small pieces that were about 5-6 inches long by an inch wide. What a let down! Ordered a chicken omelette minus tomato and green pepper using Door Dash for delivery. The omelette came with green pepper ruining the omelette for me. My husband called Dixie Diner to have a new omelette made which we would take back the incorrect food and pick up the new order ourselves. Dixie Diner refused to make their wrong right. A total waste of time and money. We do not recommend. If they mess up you the consumer will eat their cost. Horrible customer service and poor management read more

We have been going to Dixie Dinner for a long time. It's been perhaps a couple months since we came for breakfast. I ordered the pecan waffle and it had an onion piece. My niece ordered a feta spinach omelet and she does not eat pork. She found an onion piece and a bacon piece. When I confronted the manager she claimed we are sharing food. I suspect that the dishes are not washed. The waitress offered another one waffle and I asked for a pecan waffle instead. The Manager did nothing to take it off the bill. No apology nothing. She is rude and I plan to report this. I was still charged for the pecan waffle. Never go there again!! Done with dixie diner!!! Not clean and bad customer service. read more

I love going to Dixie Diner. The breakfast food is great and if you come between 9-11 on a weekday you can get some amazing deals and FREE COFFEE!! The waitresses are all nice and helpful with the menu. The broasted chicken is great and the dinners are very affordable. I've recently began coming here after Big Apple closed down and my boyfriend and I have been on the hunt for a new breakfast spot. The Dixie diner has great deals which we love! if you get there before 11 on weekdays you get free coffee and a wide selection of breakfast specials. The grits here are some of the best I've tried. They offer more than just breakfast too, their other menu items such as their chicken dinners are a great option. All in all, this place has great workers and good food for the price. Been here a few more times since initial review. The place still is awesome. Wait staff (Colleen and Lori amongst the others) are great. Food is always plentiful and good. We had the Sicilian sandwich which was HUGE and tasty. And we also had the fish and chips which also was very good. The creamy potato soup was so good. And the coney's were spot on as a Detroit coney should be. Can't help but notice they are gaining popularity and that's great because they deserve it. read more

I was a regular customer of Dixie Diner. One day theY gave me the wrong order, they were upset with me. I took it back, paid extra money and received the correct item. Claimed it was my fault. Since then theyhave refused to take any orders from me and refused to let me dine in their restaurant, when I called to place a order they said I had to go to Drive Thru to make the order and wait. They had great food, but this treatment is unnecessary and I will not be doing any more business with them. AS they say BUYER BE WARE. read more

I'm not sure how long this place has been open, but it replaced the old National Coney Island in Waterford. I stopped by today for breakfast and expected it to be way busier (most places are on Sunday mornings), so I wasn't sure what to expect. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was pleasantly surprised! My waffle was just a little bit cold, but still very good. The chicken is what will be bringing me back.
