First, Yelp's 5-Star rating system does not do justice to Divinity Flooring and Building Services. They deserve a 10 out of 10 rating and beyond. My research led me to DFS, and after reading all the reviews and viewing all the photos, I had my son review them as well. He went a step further and researched them on Instagram. We decided they were the ones to reach out to. Jake responded very quickly, and we met with him the next day. Jake was personable, professional, had vast experience and knowledge, and we could tell he took considerable pride in his company, his work and cared deeply for his customers. We presented our projects, which included a complete kitchen remodel in our current home; a full remodel of a home we were in escrow with, and then a second phase remodel in our original home, to prepare for renters. Jake was confident he could complete the projects in a timely manner. Luckily, we did not have a set date, but we were hoping for January 1, 2023. This meeting was held in mid-October. Within a few weeks, Jake responded with a rendering of the kitchen and estimate; both were exceptional and reasonable. Jake stated that his rendering would be 98 percent accurate to what the outcome would be. Honestly, both projects were 100 percent accurate after final revisions were made. We met Jake at the new home on November 9th and performed an extensive walk-through of what we desired. This was a complete removal of the old and replacement with all new wood and tile flooring, lighting, electrical fixtures, plumbing, paint, and installation of all new kitchen appliances. This was quite an undertaking for all of us, but with Jake and Jack's vast experience, strong work ethic, pride in their work, and patience; this journey was quite a learning experience. I thank both gentlemen for the guidance they provided along the way. With projects this large, there were many unexpected issues that occurred at both properties, and the extensive rain that occurred this winter, presented other challenges along the way. They both provided suggestions and solutions and kept the projects moving. The communication between Jake, Jack and their entire crew was phenomenal. They were quick to respond by text, phone, and when needed, on site visits. Luckily, the two properties were seven minutes apart. The kitchen demolition started on November 14 and the project was completed before Thanksgiving, then it was off the new home. The new house was ready to move in by February 10th, we moved in on February 16 and 17th, and the second phase of our original home was completed by the end of March, and our renters moved in on April 1, 2023. We did not pressure DFS for a short timeline, because there were many obstacles to deal with and they were determined to give us an exceptional product; which they did. This project could not have been completed without the exceptional knowledge, skills, communication between Jake, Jack, and their crew. These men were equally, personable, courteous, thoughtful, and you could tell they enjoyed working for them and were a happy group. It's kind of nuts to see a contractor with 5.0 stars on Yelp, but they just finished giving us new flooring, and I can see why. It comes down to price and speed. Price They came in far below their competitors on the bidding process for the job, and they stuck to the bid even when there was a complication, like having to cut a groove in the drywall to hide some unexpected wires. For materials, Jake worked hard at getting us the best deal on baseboards (from Advantage Moulding) and flooring (we ended up using Cali Bamboo). Speed They showed up right when they said they would and worked all day for three days to move the furniture, demo the tile, lay luxury vinyl plank, and install all the baseboards. We're happy with the quality too! Our condo looks a lot more modern now, and, aside from how messy our condo is, our results look like all the other pictures people have posted on Yelp of their immaculate floor. Just a heads up: they don't do anything with carpet, but Jake recommended a carpet guy to add transition molding to clean up the places where our carpet meets the new floor. read more

First, don't let the name fool you - Divinity Flooring offers a lot more than just flooring, which was a huge plus for me. I was dreading tracking down multiple contractors for various jobs and the fact that Jack and Jake took on every task and curveball made the project seamless. While I would have loved to do the floors and kitchen, I had to choose just one based on my budget; Jake suggested I go with the flooring because it would have the biggest impact, and he was 10000% correct. I'm beyond happy with the results of my project! I just wish I did this years ago! We also added on tiling my fireplace - which I was nervous about since it's essentially the focal point of my living area, and I had to really fight for what I was asking for with other contractors I was interviewing, so I had big expectations. They nailed it - heard all my concerns and made good on their assurances. It's my favorite part of the whole project. (The photos don't do it justice!!) When we decided to update our 30 year old home, we searched and chose a contractor that we ended up frustrated with and fired them. Jake, Jack and the Divinity Flooring Services crew came highly recommended. They were a godsend! We initially intended to remodel our kitchen and master bathroom, but after seeing the quality of workmanship, high level of honesty and integrity and very reasonable pricing, we ended up remodeling every room of our 3,000 square foot home using Divinity Flooring Services. Do not be mislead by the " Flooring Services' in their name. They executed every aspect of the remodel including reflooring the whole house, completely retiling and installing new showers, sinks and tubs in four bathrooms, raising the ceiling height of our kitchen and installing new lighting and controls throughout our home. They are very skilled in all crafts, and what few items they needed help with (such as shower enclosures and glass stairway handrails) , they directed their "bench" of skilled craftsmen. They monitored these workers, and stood by Divinity's guarantee to not leave the job site until we were fully satisfied. (They even found small items that needed attention that we had not seen and corrected them for no additional cost.) In our previous positions, we oversaw contractors performing job scopes of over $1,000,000, but have not found any workers that match the caliber of the crew at Divinity Flooring Services. At last - a contractor with a work ethic! Contact them to do wood plank flooring for our upstairs, about 1200 square ft. Gave us a rock solid quote and directed us to a flooring website to pick out the materials. Found what we wanted and they got the job. Day 1- arrived on time, exactly, and immediately unloaded all their tools and organized their work area. At the same time, they laid down protection for our downstairs floors and started ripping out the existing carpet. Within three hours, the carpet was gone, the sub floor was swept and checked for level and they got to work. By the end of day one, the master bed and bath were done as were the master closets and the big loft. They also had 50% of the 3rd bedroom done. Day two: by 1pm, they were doing the quarter round baseboard mouldings and were sweeping up and cleaning. By 2pm, they were packed up and ready to go. After a walkthrough with me, we agreed that everything went as planned. Job done Their five man team was amazing - Jake, Jack, Edwin, Edgar and Dave - showed great pride in their work. Met with Jake and he gave me a very accurate and fair quote. His crew knocked out a ton of flooring in three bedrooms in a few days, put the crown molding back up, hung up out barn door correctly and patched up some spots on the walls for us.
