AH-MAY-ZING!!! I was worried it wouldn't taste like what I was craving...WRONG! The Tom Kha was outstanding! My husband got the beef pho soup and the broth was so flavorful! The Tom Kha had all of the best flavors. I could taste the lemongrass and the cilantro and the coconut YUM!! I added shrimp and they were great size! We also enjoyed the shrimp appetizer, Thai tea and the GINGER HOT TEA is something to rave about! I can't wait to come back. We were trying to eat quickly before they closed so again, no pictures. We are from the Bay Area but SoCal holds a special place in my heart. So we were on our way back and decided to stop for dinner and check this place out. FOOD: Chicken Skewers with Peanut Sauce 9/10 pretty standard nothing out of this world but tasty. Thai dumplings 9/10 never had these before and they tasted really good. Pad Thai with Chicken and Shrimp 10/10 the portion was great for the price, tasted so good. SERVICE: Service was 8/10 and the only reason for the lower rating was due to the food taking a bit long. Overall we are for sure coming back to this place. Specially for the Pad Thai and would highlight recommend. read more

I wish I could give 6 stars! We moved to Pismo almost 3 years ago, and this was where we had our first meal. I was impressed then and still am now. We have been to all the Thai places in AG and GB and Devine is still the non plus ultra. We were there on Independence Day. We were going to have breakfast at Penny's but Pismo was a zoo. Then decided to get Mexican at Me & Z's, but it was closed. So we backtracked and went here. We ordered way too much on purpose and took the rest home. Enough food for 2 more meals. Everything there is great. The wait staff is super friendly. Don't bother going to the other Thai restaurants. They are not bad but just don not compare. read more

THAI DHEVA IS A STANDOUT! Years before I moved to Pismo Beach, I had Yelped and found this great place. It is still my fav.. It is way out from the touristy areas and it has great fresh Thai food, great service by Thais, ample parking, good prices, etc... Sticky Rice & Pumpkin Curry are the bomb! IMHO It is superior to the nearby Two Sisters or Thai Talay. I also like it better than some of the Thai places in SLO (e.g. Thai Palace, Thai Classic). As you may not know, the area seems to be filled with lots of Thai places for some odd reason.....I would trade almost any one of them for a good Vietnamese place! read more

Pad kee-mow: wide Thai noodle mixed with sliced onion and peppers basil leaf and sliced tomato and your choice of meat, I choose chicken which was perfect. Thai Tea was fantastic not too sweet and the tea part had the perfect strength. The fried banana desert served with coconut and green tea ice cream all fantastic! They have parking in back. My child was with us and they had more children's options than that online. Kids jasmine rice with scrambled egg was divine! Crispy vegetable spring rolls were good and the chili sauce it was served with had the perfect sweetness not too spicy. We will definitely be returning. read more

This place is a small place on the corner of W Grand and Fifth. This was my first time at Thai Dheva. The waitress brought me a cup of the Tom Yum Gai soup. I sense she saw me yelping and thought it couldn't hurt. I say this because she didn't offer any of the other tables that came in after me. It paid off. I wouldn't have ordered it merely because I didn't want to over stuff myself. But, the soup was pretty good. A Thai hot and sour soup with mushroom, onion, and tomato. My wife would definitely like this. I had to try the Pumpkin curry with beef. You have a choice of beef, chicken, or mock meats (soy based vegetarian subs with the flavor of beef, chicken, or duck). The flavor of the pumpkin and the curry really jelled well together. You can order the degree of spicy by medium, hot, or Thai hot. I ordered it hot and it was great. I may order next time with Thai hot to test the heat level. i also ordered it with Brown rice instead of white. Healthy and tasty, definitely go brown. I rarely give 5 star reviews. That being said, divine Thai deserves every bit of their five stars and more. Everything downtown pismo had a wait of up to an hour swing it was Fourth of July weekend. For just a short drive we were shocked to find no line and not very many customer inside. Service was fast and they graciously accepted the yelp check in offer for coconut soup which is not something I would have normally ordered but will from now on. It was bursting with flavor not too creamy and tasted light. The combination pad Thai was among the best we've had! The spicy basil beef was very spicy with thick generous cuts of beef. Everything was cooked fresh to order with love. Next time in Pismo we will defiantly be back. Thank you Divine Thai for making our visit even more rewarding. read more

I was craving Thai food and Divine Thai came up in the search results on yelp. I swung by the place and it's this small hole in the wall Thai restaurant. I love Thai food and am always up for trying new places. I accidentally passed by it because it looked closed at first and then had to make a Uturn to get back to it. It was super easy to find parking and once I entered the restaurant the staff was super friendly greeting me and allowing me to sit anywhere in the restaurant. I went on a Saturday evening around dinner time and the restaurant was absolutely dead. It was just myself and one other couple. I ordered the Thai iced coffee for my beverage and the chicken red curry. If you enjoy sweet drinks. I'd definitely recommend Thai iced coffee. It has a sweet tooth sensation with the caffeine fix you crave. For my main entree I had the chicken red curry. Boy was it spicy! My nose was running and I drank plenty of water during that meal. You should definitely try out the chicken red curry if you enjoy spicy dishes like myself. And this was just the start of a extremely bad service. That lady was rude to us but smiled to other people. I felt like I was treated differently. We waited for a century for the food to be served, but the first plate of salad even contained a human hair and no one apologized for this (like this gross thing happened a lot of times already). Even though we have eaten here many times over the years the restaurant has been on Grand Ave in Grover Beach--and usually enjoyed our meal--we'll have second thoughts about eating here again. The visit we made with our out of town guests was frankly embarrassing. The wait staff is always rather brusque, never warm and welcoming, but on this night the woman who waited on us was more like a drill sargent in her impatience and half-hearted attention as we stated our order. She was walking away as we were trying to complete our requests. We ordered an appetizer, but instead, she first brought just ONE of our main course dishes. It was at least another 10" before the rest of our food, along with both soup and that appetizer, was brought. Strangely enough, most of the food was just lukewarm. She brought only one small scoop of rice for my entree, but never brought any of the other rice for at least another 10 minutes. Our friend, who had ordered a pumpkin curry, was mostly finished with it before he got his rice. Granted the restaurant was pretty busy, and I think our waitress might have been serving everyone all alone, but we were pretty disenchanted with our visit and warn others that you maybe subjected to cold food, unfriendly, almost angry, wait staff and a rather haphazard delivery of food. read more

Beautiful bright walls welcomed us into this quaint little restaurant. We ordered coconut soup, pad Thai, pineapple rice, sweet Thai salmon, chicken satay, & Thai dumplings. It all had fabulous flavor and texture. We highly recommend this as a Thai lovers place to dine. We will return for sure!!! Our favorite was the coconut soup!!! Update: Once again, this lovely spot has not disappointed!!!! We were greeted by the most cheerful waitresses. Lots of smiles, constant water refill, and pleasant music in the background. I never saw a frown. And whoever is cooking in the kitchen... we totally felt the love in the dishes. I pretty much think I want to be buried with the tom kah gai soup. I just can't get enough!!!!
