This is probably the best Thai food that we had eaten in the US. We got the egg rolls, Thai iced coffee, Tom yum soup and spicy fried rice with tofu. The tofu was perfectly cooked. The rice was nicely spiced and the egg rolls were perfection. The coffee was great too. The restrooms are very clean and well maintained. The iced coffee was great too. The restaurant seemed to be understaffed, but that was probably it was the holiday season. We didn't like the sticky rice as much because it was on the sweeter side, and the jackfruit tasted unfresh, but the other things were so good that I cannot reduce a star for it. read more

I enjoyed a solo lunch here yesterday. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach, like always, but I enjoyed the leftovers at home today. I would be lying if I said I wasn't expecting a bit more based off the rave reviews on Yelp, but I also wouldn't think twice about giving them another try. I ordered the Thai dumplings for an appetizer and the Pad Kee Mao for my entree. Oddly enough, my main course came out first followed by the appetizer. I really didn't mind, but traditionally, most people might be put off by that. I can see where maybe they thought I might be pressed for time, being a weekday lunch, but I was in no hurry. The Thai dumplings were okay. The exterior was a bit thicker and more dense than I would have liked but you can tell they are made fresh and the filling was abundant. The sauce served on the side was delicious as well. They should really change their menu though, as I noticed mine came with five pieces as did many other people's on Yelp ( given their pictures), yet the menu states 6. Not a big deal, until you get a party of three expecting two pieces each. Note, these do not warm up well as leftovers so make sure you enjoy them fresh! The Pad Kee Mao was delightful. Fresh, served piping hot with lots of basil and fresh veggies. My only complaint is I wish it had a bit more sauce and wasn't served on a bed of lettuce. My family and I have this odd sort of tradition. Every time we go on a lil vacay, anywhere away from our usual, we try and find a good Thai/Chinese/Asian cuisine restaurant. I am so glad that we not only happened to pass this restaurant earlier on our trip but we also noticed suggestions on yelp and was given some from some of the hotel staff as well. They have an item on the menu that was quite possibly one of the smartest! They offer, on the kids' menu, the simplest but tastiest item. It's scrambled eggs and rice. It is so simple and my lil one just ate it up. She even asked for more eggs. She never eats all of her rice but she sure gobbled up her eggs. My family and I, we ordered a number of other dishes. Some of them include satay, broccoli delight, a spicy egg plant and maybe one other item. I'm not entirely sure. All of our food was delish and was delivered to our table piping hot and fresh. This little spot does some steady to-go business and was actually pretty busy for a mid week evening. We figured that was a good sign. I would definitely come here again. Everything about our experience was pleasant and so enjoyable. I felt like the portions could have been a bit larger for the price per entree but I can also understand that we are just living in more expensive, Covid affected times. There is a good amount of street parking here as well as a small lot just behind the building. It truly is "Divine Thai"!!! Personally, I wouldn't have thought that the Central Coast of the Golden State would have several, if not, a handful of Thailand-cuisine based restaurants around this region. Thankfully, I did my research - from the northern area of Paso Robles, down to the Five Cities (cluster area in the SLO County region) - and since I was staying in the area for a couple of days - yay, telecommute, LOL - I wanted to indulge in my favorite take out comfort food for my Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras quarantine edition, haha! I always have loved being able to try off-the-beaten-path establishments, let alone, in a small-town setting of Grover Beach. I searched for several Thai restaurants within the area, and the vast array of choices in Divine Thai's menu really stood out for me - since they had similar dishes from my go-to Thai places back home in the Bay Area, in NorCal! Woohoo! Way to go, Yelp! Once I got situated at my humble abode during my visit, I ran errands (did a little Trader Joe's run at nearby Arroyo Grande) before ordering in-person for take out, since they did not offer indoor dining at this time we're in currently. However, I did notice that they placed outdoor seating with counter-top tables & a few sets of regular tables in their little covered awning, brightly lit-up with patio lights! No heat lamps, though! They have a small parking lot in the back of their restaurant, and there were lots of street parking within the neighborhood - convenient location, as it's just down the 4th Street exit off Hwy 101! What I had ordered was pretty basic & simple, yet fulfilling & heartwarming. Make sure to check-in on Yelp for that free Tom Kha soup! (coconut-based soup with chicken breast) - with the purchase of two main entrees! That's what really got my eye in trying out this place, due to that freebie! I love supporting local businesses, and I love them even more when they have freebies, haha. Just saying! :) My two entrees that I ordered was - Pad See Eew with Soy-Based (Mock) Chicken Meat, and Chicken Satay skewers with cucumber salad & peanut dressing. Piping-hot & I could tell that they really cooked it to perfection, as I was told, that they make their dishes from scratch - using the finest ingredients to create the many epic entrees & dishes that they have on their menu. One of the best all around dining experiences I've had in a long time... I was in search of Pho. After I searched Yelp , it recommended Devine Thai. I thought that somewhat strange because it wasn't Vietnamese. I mentioned that I was craving Pho but because they didn't have it as an option, I would get the closest thing to it that they had to offer. The next thing I know the wait comes out and said that the chef was working on making me Pho! When it came out it was AMAZING! The effort, the kindness and the deliciousness was exquisite! When I asked what the difference was from what they served me to what I ordered (beef noodles) was, they sent out a person to our table side to run through each difference. Before our departure, the chef came out, introduced themselves and bowed many times in gratitude. However in 10 to 15 minutes they were able to accommodate a couple of tables for us. I come here often for lunch or to pick up dessert. As far as lunch deals, it's a good set up. An entree normally comes with a spring roll and a soup. Even if the soup is a bit plain it's always surprisingly flavorful. I normally order a curry, and it's a shame that noodles aren't included in the lunch menu. The mango sticky rice is also delicious and a nice thing to share at the end of a meal. The only downside is that coming during lunch means I normally have to wait a bit unless they're empty. It is a bit slow but not terribly, still able to get in and out at around 45 mins. I work from home nearby so it wasn't too bad. During my tour of California's beaches, I was staying in Grover Beach and found Divine Thai through Yelp. It certainly lives up to its name. After body-boarding in the COLD Pacific Ocean, I was CRAVING some hot, spicy soup. I started with the Tom Yum hot and sour soup with shrimp, then I had the Pumpkin Curry with vegetables and tofu. Both were perfect. So rich and flavorful. Side note: the woman serving all the customers in the restaurant, including to-go orders, was so busy and did an excellent job of keeping up with everyone.
