    Pineapple Fried Rice

This place is serving up some really good Thai Food. Stopped by for dinner on Wednesday night and had a really nice dinner with my wife. We stopped by at 5pm and got seated immediately. Our service was very kind and helpful and we placed our order within minutes of being seated. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Pineapple Fried Rice and the Cashew Nut with Chicken which was the STAR of the night. Absulotely great dish packed with flavor, a must if you are here. The pineapple fried rice was also amazing. Both dishes are a 10/10. The Pad See Ew was good but nothing great and would have to rate that dish a 7 out of 10. Overall, I would definitely come back again if I am in the area and craving Thai food. Make sure to check them out, defenitly worth checking them out. Thanks Thai Palace for the good dinner, till next time!

I paid 18.00$ for one small spring roll and 5 cream cheese wontons... I was expecting there to at least be two spring rolls and when I bit into the spring rolls they were sour and tasted very old and stale I'm not one to really complain i usually leave good reviews but this was a terrible experience.. mind you I was the only customer...

The restaurant is one of the more expensive options in SLO, super understandable considering that it's located downtown. The food was good and I would go again, but it wouldn't be my first pick amongst the cheaper options. They definitely have a higher quality and standards to their ingredients. ig: @cravingswithcat

I've been coming here since they opened, many years ago. This is the place with the arguably the best Tom Kha soup in town. A while back they changed the mushrooms to something I didn't prefer, so I stopped going there for a while. But they changed it back to the original type of mushroom I love. So, they won me back! Service is excellent, prices are good, and their mushrooms... priceless!

Super yummy! Great service loved the curry. Large and clean place. Bar and bathroom clean as well. Food came out quickly. Noodles is a generous portion.

Pretty decent food and reasonably priced. The portion size is also generous for the price. My main complaints are: -They close at 9:00pm and we were seated 15 minutes past 8:00pm. They made us feel rushed. -They charged 3% extra for paying by a credit card without telling me. I had to deduct that from the tip

One of our favorite restaurants. We catered from here for our grandma's 82nd birthday and it was a big hit. We came back for my birthday to celebrate this past summer.

Thai Tossed Noodles, I ate the shrimp and put some fried calamari from my friend's food into its place

Delicious food and very attention oriented, our table was wobbly and they fixed it with a piece of cardboard without us having to ask.

Thai Palace . Pad Thai Noodles. The ambience is absolutely amazing, peaceful and enjoyable. I had the privilege of having the Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken and it was one of the best I have ever had! Every bite is full of flavor. I ordered it hot and it's a perfect spice. The noodles are fresh and delicious. The server and host were very polite and welcoming made me feel good to come in and enjoy eating here. This meal was 10/10. The portion can easily be shared by two. You won't be disappointed! Best in SLO.

    Sweet chili fried fish

I came here after shopped upstairs in Sephora, and they amazed me with the taste. I was greeted and seated right away when I walked in. I ordered the item from the season menu, which was the sweet chili fried fish. The fish was so crunchy sweet and tiny bit spicy, also soft and juicy inside, I love it! 10/10. The shrimp was good! Like 8/10, the sauce was the best thing ever. Will visit to try other dishes in the future.

no outside seating for anybody--but get it to go and find a set on the steps or even over at peets

It wasn't too filling to where we lost our appetite for the main entrees. We got the grilled teriyaki salmon, fried rice, and the Mongolian plate. The fried rice came with crispy chicken and it was so good! The salmon had a little bit of crispiness to it which is good. The Mongolian plate wasn't too spicy but we were able to add some chili oil to make it a little more spicy. The food we ordered was really good. They have a good variety of options which made me want to try more but I will just have to come back another time to try more. The service was good... the server was kind and tentative. It was the end of a long, windy, and rainy drive all the way from 17-Mile Drive after heading down from San Jose. By the time I reached Morro Bay around 8:00 PM, my GPS and phone signal finally started to return. I then drove from west to east and reached San Luis Obispo, which I had visited the day before and which had left me with a very good impression. A kind police officer had even left a citation on my windshield with a $0 fine after I mistakenly parked my car in a commercial loading zone in Chinatown during a restricted time I hadn't realized was in effect. That Chinatown was small--perhaps the smallest I have ever seen--though I once thought the one in Singapore was the smallest, but then again, isn't all of Singapore essentially a Chinatown? I drove back into the heart of San Luis Obispo that evening, and instead of just finding a Domino's pizza, I decided to have a proper sit-down dinner. I searched for restaurants near me, and Thai Delight Cuisine popped up with a high score on Google Maps, only a few minutes away. I arrived around 8:20 PM, parked by the road, and paid the parking fee through a kiosk. The machine was as kind as the policeman and only charged me until 9:00 PM, after which parking was free. Once I entered the restaurant, every table was occupied except for one that hadn't even been cleaned yet. I was seated after being greeted kindly by three different waitresses. I was cold and sweaty from the drive, but I still ordered a glass of Thai tea for the caffeine, knowing I still had almost four hours of driving ahead of me. Unfortunately, the tea was too sweet and lacked the strong, aromatic flavor that a normal Thai tea should have; it felt more like a glass of sugar water. The atmosphere was very pleasant, though it was interesting to note that in the entire restaurant, only two of us were Asian, and we were the only two using chopsticks. Being in wine country, the restaurant had a large storage area with various wines that looked excellent, but I was in a hurry and not in the mood for a tasting. The Tom Yum seafood was served quickly, just a few minutes after I placed my order. It arrived in an aluminum pot that lacked the traditional middle chimney but was still good-looking. I took several pictures of the dish and then used my right hand to take the spoon to pour the soup, but I was "bitten" by the spoon--a very strong pain in my finger. I was confused and tried to take the spoon a second time, but I dropped it again. I realized the tip of the spoon had been resting directly over the fire underneath the pot and had become extremely hot. I had to grab some ice from my water to try and cool down my finger. The Tom Yum soup was neither spicy nor sour--perhaps just a hint of sourness, but far too little. It wasn't spicy at all, and the waitress didn't even ask for a spice level when I ordered. I wouldn't give this Tom Yum top marks if I were in Bangkok, as it was well below average, but honestly, it didn't taste bad on a cold night after a long drive. The seafood in the pot was very fresh, which I didn't expect to find in the middle of the mainland. The shrimp were big and tender, the crab was fresh, and the scallops and fish were all high quality; they used good sea fish rather than cheap basa. The only pity was that the soup was too sweet without that strong sour attack, which is the spirit of Tom Yum itself. I waited quite a while for the fried rice to arrive, only to find it contained the exact same ingredients: squid rolls, mussels, shrimp, crab legs, scallops, fish, and even tomatoes. It was identical to the Tom Yum, just in a different form. I wish they had told me the ingredients were the same when I ordered! The taste wasn't bad, even though the tomatoes and eggs were slightly burnt with dark marks and the rice was a bit too moist. Again, it was just way too sweet. So, in the end, I had a glass of sugar water, a pot of sugar soup, and a plate of sugar rice, and I got my finger burnt in the process--but I would still give it 4 stars. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the environment was very warming, and overall, I think I had a very good trip.

Thairiffic hits my bay area food snob craving on every level. Ironically, this was the last of the Thai restaurants I tried, and for good reason. It looks dinky and drab from the outside. The name is a dad joke (which I love). Visiting on a random weekday evening, the place was close to empty. As far as appearances go, the place didn't give much to hope for. However, I was beyond pleasantly surprised after receiving my order for pad see ew + pad thai. There were three things immediately apparent that made Thairiffic stand out: 1. Unlike (almost) every other Thai place, Thairiffic honored my request for maximum spice. There is a definite kick for their "Thai hot" level. 2. Unlike (almost) every other Thai place, the Pad Thai had a balanced flavor profile. Other places DOUSE the pad thai in sugar - yuck. This was a Pad Thai with savoriness, saltiness, sweetness, sourness, and spice. Yum. 3. The pad see ew had a distinct wok hei + golden mountain sauce flavor. Nice! I will also say that the shrimp in the pad thai was decently flavorful - same with the beef in the pad see ew. This is in contrast to the often "secondhand slap on" approach to the meats/proteins that I've had at other Thai places. Lastly, the price point here is I think the lowest of all the Thai places I've tried. If I could, I'd give it another star for that alone! The pad kee mao was okay. I think I'll stick to the pad thai and pad see ew. There's a decently sized menu with many other options (eg kao soi) which I'm excited to try. Above all else, I'm happy to find a go-to Thai place that hits the spot in SLO!
