Unfortunately, the night before, I experienced a sudden allergic reaction, likely due to something I ate at dinner. My face swelled up, and I developed severe eye irritation and drainage. Despite hoping the reaction would subside with medication, I woke up feeling worse and knew I wasn't in any condition to receive -- or enjoy -- a $375 massage. I was aware of SpaTerre's 24-hour cancellation policy and had a friend contact them by both phone and email as soon as it was clear I wouldn't be able to attend. The staff accepted the cancellation but informed us that a refund would not be possible due to the policy. Later, I followed up directly and explained the situation to the manager. I hoped for a spa credit or more flexibility, especially given the medical nature of the cancellation and the fact that I visit Key West regularly. Unfortunately, I was told the most they could offer was a discount on a future service. While I understand the need for cancellation policies, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility or empathy in this situation. Emergencies happen, and I had hoped for a more compassionate response. For that reason, I'm hesitant to rebook with SpaTerre, even at a discounted rate.

Well, that night my nails started to chip - and - I had paid nearly (with tip) $200 for this...not even close to what I usually pay but I wanted to treat myself to an experience...well, I got one, but not the one I wanted. The first room we checked in to had a vent problem with the AC and the bathroom looked nothing like the pictures when we booked. So we let management know we were unhappy especially for the price we payed. Management was helpful and happy to change out our room. The second room was what we paid room 210 on the spa side. BUT was not clean to our standards TV in the bathroom did not work. Tv remote controls were dirty The ceiling fans had so much dust you could see they have not been cleaned in months. When we pulled our blankets back on the bed are sheets had little yellow stains on them wonder what that was. The positive Great location you're right off the main Street and right around the corner from one of the best sunsets in the world.
