My biggest issue is when I got the boat home and took off the cover there was lots of fiberglass shavings at the helm and styrofoam pieces all over the place. The interior was filthy and there was lots of water in the bilge making me believe that they stored the boat in their yard with the cover off (I delivered it clean with the cover on). Not a professional operation in my opinion.

In an attempt to correct this problem, long self tapping screws were used. This caused an unsafe situation for myself and ruined the ice container. I took the boat back and the question to me was"do you even use this as an ice bucket". I had hoped their only concern was to return my boat to its original condition. I was told then they would order a new container; to date nothing has been done to rectify this. I have stopped in to the dealer twice and have called many times each with an answer that they will call me back but that has not happened. Due to heart issues I am on blood thinners and the screws that went into the rod area poised a safety concern for me because I bleed very easily. I did replace those screws with stainless steel bolts. They did remove the screw that ruined the ice container and installed a bolt so it could be used and water would not leak into the hull. My last conversation with Jaren (owners son) was on May 13, 2025. He was to find out the status and return my call. As of this post, still nothing! On a positive note, I love my boat and have found a dealership to service it.

Among them are: boat ramp, dockside gasoline, winter storage for boats and boat lifts, lift delivery and installation, Nautique dealer, Kawasaki Jet-ski dealer, pontoon boats, dock and boating hardware, skis and wakeboards and their necessary hardware, life jackets, tow-able floats, Clear Lake shirts and hats, the Seaweed Café(snacks and hot dogs, etc. from what I can tell, I've never actually eaten there). My father's been coming to Clear Lake since he was in college, renting, then finally became an owner about 15 years ago. So I've been coming here my entire life. (kinda wish Yelp had a location for the lake itself, I could go on and on). But my dad's had some times he's needed more attention from the Marina (a problem jet-ski), and he got it. The people there know their customers and greet them as friends with first names. Personalized service is a dying art these days, and I'm glad to see that it still matters to the CLM. They don't have high-pressure sales people, just knowledgeable and laid back, casual sales atmosphere. We could have a much worse marina on this lake. Every time I visit CL, I always make it a point to stop by the CLM. It just feels good. And we usually end up buying something. Yesterday, went for a t-shirt, ended up with another jet-ski!

I felt that it was necessary for me to comment pertaining to the 7/18/2019 review of R&S Boats. I…read morewas the previous owner of the used Four Winn's boat that had the title issues. The problem with the titles was 100% my problem/mistake and I felt terrible about it. It was in no way the fault of R&S and I told R&S that they should share with the customer that this was totally my mistake and that I was very sorry that it happened. Simply stated, I had misfiled the original titles for both the boat and trailer. When we were looking to trade them in, I requested duplicate/replacement titles from the BMV. Shortly after receiving the new titles, I of course located the originals (Murphy's law) and intended to shred the old and keep the new. Instead, I accidentally signed off the old titles to R&S at the time of the trade-in. R&S had no reason to question anything at all. Of course, my mistake would then be identified at the BMV during the title work. I felt terrible about my mistake, but luckily, I had not yet shredded the duplicate titles and was able to get them to R&S within a couple of days. We have been dealing with R&S Boats now for 10 years for boat and accessory purchases, as well as services, and highly recommend them! We have been treated fairly and professionally and have recommended them to others who have also had good experiences. Sandra, Randy, and the entire R&S team keep up the excellent work!!!

One other thing that we thought was strange is that when we purchased the boat it had life vests and guide rods on trailer, but when we picked up the boat, both of items were removed. Additionally, he introduced us to the Service team and the Finance Manager as they are all important parts of the Gull Lake Marine team. No other boat dealer did that and it really impressed us.
