They wanted to charge significantly more than they initially quoted for the fish finder work. After my complaining they reduced the labor. My biggest issue is when I got the boat home and took off the cover there was lots of fiberglass shavings at the helm and styrofoam pieces all over the place. The interior was filthy and there was lots of water in the bilge making me believe that they stored the boat in their yard with the cover off (I delivered it clean with the cover on). Not a professional operation in my opinion.

In an attempt to correct this problem, long self tapping screws were used. This caused an unsafe situation for myself and ruined the ice container. I took the boat back and the question to me was"do you even use this as an ice bucket". I had hoped their only concern was to return my boat to its original condition. I was told then they would order a new container; to date nothing has been done to rectify this. I have stopped in to the dealer twice and have called many times each with an answer that they will call me back but that has not happened. Due to heart issues I am on blood thinners and the screws that went into the rod area poised a safety concern for me because I bleed very easily. I did replace those screws with stainless steel bolts. They did remove the screw that ruined the ice container and installed a bolt so it could be used and water would not leak into the hull. My last conversation with Jaren (owners son) was on May 13, 2025. He was to find out the status and return my call. As of this post, still nothing! On a positive note, I love my boat and have found a dealership to service it.

So, I needed my dock put in. Spent two weeks calling their numbers and no one would call me back…read more Finally drove up there and talked to them about coming out an outing my dock in. Then when they came out, the water is very high at my lake this year so we had to bring the dock in ten feet from where it usually goes. They said they would come back and bring some items to make it work. They sent me an invoice to install. After tax and installation I have $1,810.71. That includes new sockets and longer poles for out at the end because those 8' wont work. It also includes the sockets for where we were missing some. I went and bought two auger ends for 33 dollars and four hours and one very helpful neighbor we put it in ourselves. 1,800......really?????? What a ripoff. Never put a dock in before and did it myself. Will never use this business.

Frankly, we were surprised they were still in business but because they were, we thought we would give them another chance. I would avoid doing business with them. They will take your money, tell you what you want to hear and not deliver! Read the other reviews too. I worked primarily with the owner's son, Austin. First issue was they required 80% down because Austin said they needed that much to order the materials from the EZ dock distributor. (The EZ Dock distributor later told me they never require more than 50% down.) Austin said it would be 2 to 3 weeks to get the dock in but they would try to get it before July 4 th. Dock was ordered June 11 and three weeks was July 3. Even though the dock was ordered by my sister for her private lake in Ohio, I requested it ASAP because she was having a memorial July 4 at her lake for her husband who just died on May 27. Austin seemed empathetic and said he would do everything he could to get it in time. I checked almost every day with Austin to see the status of the dock. Every time I spoke with him he would tell me he was doing everything he could to get it in time. He told me part of it was coming from a distributor near Fort Wayne, IN and part of it was in Coldwater, MI. I asked about the parts from Coldwater and he replied they were ready but they don't like to pick them up before installation because they've had problems with theft. (interestedly, that is the same thing his father told us in 2011 when we ordered our dock from them.) On June 29, Austin said it was being shipped and hopefully would get there on July 1 so he could install it July 2. I asked him to call and find out when it would get here and call me with an update. He never did. So I called the EZ dock distributor in IN. I discovered they are the only Indiana distributor and they no longer do business with American Dock and Lift because they owe them money. When I told Austin that I called the IN EZ Dock distributor which is near Indianapolis and that there is no distributor near Fort Wayne. I demanded a refund for my sister. He got upset and accused me of threatening him and said he was calling the police. After we told him we contacted our attorney, he called his father and then wrote a check to my sister. (I waited to write this review to make sure the check didn't bounce.) On July 1, we called the Ohio EZ Dock distributor and explained the situation. They had the parts in stock and given the circumstances would install the dock on July 3 in time for the memorial. (They did not require anything down and yet drove over 100 miles to install the dock.) They came as promised and the dock is perfect. Furthermore, they told us this company should not have tried to install an EZ Dock from IN in OH. EZ Dock has specific distributors in each state and they do not go into another distributor's territory.
