I did my Open Water + Nitrox training with Alan, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better instructor. I was super nervous starting out, but he was patient, never rushed anything, and even took the time to show extra tips that helped a lot once I got out of the pool. It felt more like learning from a friend than a strict instructor. I did my OW and AOW dives with Howard, and he was great as well. During my OW weekend, I was still struggling a bit with buoyancy, and he didn't have to, but he even did an extra dive with me to work on PPB just so I could feel more confident. My first time in the ocean was with him too, and he always took the time to teach beyond the bare minimum. Shoutout to Stefan and James, who were also on some of my dives -- super helpful with little tips along the way. I just completed my Certification Dives for my Open Water SCUBA Certification. After I retired, my sister who is a certified diver, and I started talking about doing some diving together. After some calls I decided to try Dive Educators because they were more accommodating than the local dive shop. So glad I did! Josh was great on the phone, Doug allowed me time to get my swimming skills up to par, Rick was patient and yet success oriented trainer, and the mandatory on-line training was superior. All of my training was focused, encouraging and supportive, with the goal always on my being able to understand and demonstrate my knowledge and skills. These are good people and professional divers. My son's Scout Troop got certified with Diver Doug and company last summer, in preparation for a trip to Sea Base in the Florida Keys. Very good job!!! Training online was great to do before class Friday night. Plenty of qualified staff to offer enough attention to each student. The owner is organized and has put together a great team. They are fun yet no nonsense! Great Facility! The pool was warm! Great experience for my 12 year old to get his introduction into the sport. And my refresher was great too! We are looking forward to our review with Frenchie (one of the great instructors) before our open water dive at the Vortex Springs in a couple weeks. You can buy scuba equipment anywhere, and you can learn to dive at many different shops in GA. I've been to just about all of the dive shops in this state.. That being said: What makes Dive Educators different is the staff and people they surround themselves with. I can't overstate the great family environment this place has going for them. I've been diving for almost 10 years now and I've never had as much fun diving as I have with Dive Educators. I'll be taking some advanced courses with them in the future, mainly because of their professionalism, no pressure sales, laid back and safe approach to diving. My son recently worked on his scuba certification here and my husband and I did a scuba refresher course since it has been so long since we have been diving. What a fantastic experience!!!
