Dynamo swimming complex is just around the corner from my office and offers a wonderful swimming facility to swim at. Hours - I have to say that usually swimming pools have no available open swim hours so they are never convenient to use. No Dynamo. They are usually open for any type of drop in 1030-3pm (330 on some days). That is a ton of time! Facility - is huge! There is a smaller indoor lessons pool (88 degrees) and an indoor competition pool (79-80 degrees) that are always open during open swim. There is also a 50-m long course pool on site that opens seasonally I believe. There are multiple locker rooms with lots of showers and lockers. I think it is a wonderful spot. Cleanliness - The pool is always clean without ever a weird taste of chemicals. The locker rooms are always clean and never cluttered with stray clothes or baskets. Speaking of baskets, I love that they offer baskets for you to place your stuff in. Makes it very accommodating to get in and out of the locker room faster! Misc - There are available pull buoys and kick boards for your to use. There are never a lot of people in the pool when I come at lunch. I have never had to share a lane - once I had the entire competition pool to myself for a whole hour! Staff is always friendly. For a pool facility, I don't know what else you are looking for!

My son swam at Dynamo for three years, and I volunteered as an AO during several home meets. During…read morethat time, I was harassed by a male parent in the parking lot who was driving a blue Jaguar F-Pace SUV. The police were called, but the individual left before officers arrived. I immediately reported the incident to management and was told that several other female parents were familiar with this individual and that previous complaints had been filed. Staff assured me they would investigate the matter and address his threatening behavior. In the days that followed, while our children continued practicing four to six days per week, I observed the same parent continuing to negatively engage with other female parents at the facility with what appeared to be little or no consequence. Although the facility is modern and the coaching staff is skilled, I cannot recommend it based on my experience with its response to patron safety. A strong commitment to the safety and well-being of students, families, coaches, and volunteers should be a top priority, and I did not feel that this concern was handled appropriately.

We have attended every summer, but one, and we knew that we made a mistake by taking a summer off. Plus you get a nice and informative report emailed to you at the end of the class with graphs showing various health/performance metrics over time. I originally signed up to jump-start my training but it's obvious now that I'll be continuing this class going forward. TL;DR: It's like crossfit, but without the powerlifts, injuries, and nose-bleed pricetag. Oh and the analytics are very cool for geeks like myself.

This is a "bait and switch" for college age students seeking employment for the summer. The people who run this camp give very little information up front about how this camp is run--especially if you are an overnight worker (No overtime is given). The delay is long for the training modules. The people who run this camp seem to not care at all about the people they hire--or their experience--which is a terrible business model because this, of course, affects the kids' experience at the camp. IDTECH was not forthright about the hours (basically 12-14 a day), and they glossed over the realities of dealing with 15-17 young people who need medications, structure, and lessons in bullying. They do not have enough counselors for high-maintenance kids, and they do not staff enough people for the overnight options, as some kids are behavioral issues. As a parent of a college age senior who thought this would be a good opportunity, I would not recommend anyone sending their kids to this camp, and I would not recommend anyone seeking employment with IDTECH.

After ~2 years, I would say that I have been satisfied with my experience about 50% of the time enrolled and I am exploring new options for my children. Reasoning follows: 1. Staffing: constant turnover and short staffing lead inadequate teacher:child ratios. You will end up dropping off/picking up your child from different rooms and different faces frequently. Administration will not communicate staffing changes and deceptively leave up pictures of former staff on classroom boards. 2. Cleanliness: the 1-2 year old classroom has glue coming through the floorboards. It has been 6 months since first reported with no remedy. Do you want your kids crawling on this floor? (See picture). If you open the refrigerators or look in drawers or cabinets, you will be disgusted. Too many of the toys and books in the rooms are in very poor condition. 3. Learning Environment: It is difficult to provide a consistently rich learning environment when constantly short staffed and rotating through new faces. 4. Owner: She is rarely present except for when she is asking you for more money for one of her charitable tax write off initiatives.

After two months attending, we found out his hearing was temporarily affected from the fluid in his ears and he was scheduled for tubes surgery. Unfortunately because of the sickness, he only spent two full weeks in school out of the two months period. Before the tubes were even put into place, my son was kicked out of the school with teachers claiming he was possibly autistic and more than they could handle. I came to Goddard Chamblee with paperwork in hand that the previous school handed me with my tail tucked between my legs also terrified that they would agree and turn my son away. After a quick discussion and a glance at the paperwork, they agreed that no child should ever be left behind and that the previous school didn't even give my son a chance. My son has now been enrolled at Goddard Chamblee for two months and has hit more milestones and thriving more than he ever has anywhere else. The teachers are so loving, nurturing, and patient. They work with my son to ensure he's truly a part of the class and I can tell they genuinely care about him. Words cannot express how thankful I am for Goddard Chamblee. And special shoutout to Ms. Wendy who truly makes his classroom seem like home.

It wasn't awkward at all ... being that I never played tennis. Coach Joe is AWESOME. He's funny, full of energy, and treats each one of us like we can be a tennis star even in our later years. I found the Summer Class for the little kids (5 years old) to be reasonable and luckily in my time schedule. Monday's at 4 and Saturday mornings. The coach is so good and he really encourages my daughter. She's 5 so I don't know if she'll be good or not ... but it's definitely great to get outdoors and introduce her and I to something new. The max capacity for the class is 8 people, so you have to make your reservation early - this is easy enough to do on their website. They also offer round robin tournaments and other organized pickleball activities. My only gripe is that it's not easy to reserve a pickleball court if you just feel like playing on your own. Sometimes, when the weather is nice, we feel like going out for some impromptu pickleball and don't feel like competing. Still looking for places in DeKalb where we can easily reserve a court and do our own thing. I believe you can call to check availability and reserve, though.

My niece goes to this camp all summer and never gets bored. If learning is also fun-well, there you have it-the magic combination! All of the kids are excited to be there, the staff is great and very attentive. Each time I am there I am greeted kindly, as is my niece. They are actually HAPPY to see us walk in the door! This is a novel and brilliant idea and finally, I feel my money is well-earned by Kris and her staff...not just babysitting and coloring. amy niece comes home with little electronic bugs, her mind filled with fun things she cannot wait to share with me.
