The actual photo of the resort we stayed in

They lie to customers and tell then anything just to get thier business, I booked a trip to Costa Rica a week ago and I was told that the resort that we booked with was 30 minutes away but once we got the airport in Lineria we to hit with the reality that the resort was really over 2 hours away. Once getting to the resort we found out that their was NO Ac in the living area only in the room after riding 2 hours . My review with the horrible resort will be posted on their site right after i write this review. I'll never book with this place again NEVER !!!!!

I understand I pick the hotel which was rated 4 stars and a choice by Vacation Express. Here is the description given by Vacation Express I attached a screenshot for your reference. First had NO idea there was even an in destination team, was never informed of that that might of helped us figure out the correct time for our tours. I kept being told the sunset cruise left at 11:10 that it was a 4 hr tour we would walk shop and eat that was actually the camel ride which we barely made was told nexus would take us to our excercusions look for orane shirts that was not even who took us. Was never informed when booking the excercusions that we would have to pay for transportation to the sunset cruise resort informed us that would be 80.00 for round trip transportation.  The description of all inclusive states 7 restaurants no reservation needed the buffett was open everyday it was nasty recycled food from the night before with flies and birds all over the food. It was cold despite being in a warmer everyday but one they were out of bacon. The other restaurants the grille the mexican restaurant and italian if one was open the other 2 were not. Managed to be the first ones at the mexican restaurant the last night had we got there 30 min later we would not have been able to get a table because everyone there was trying to get into 1 restaurant first ones seated we waited 1:15 min to get our food while all those seated after were already served. Took 1 bite and it was horrible got up and left. The asian retaurant to get in you DO need a reservation they open at 3 just to take reservations got in line at 2 to get the reservation at 3:15 the line of people was told they would not open for the day. 24 hour access to food is a lie EVERYRHING closes down at 10:30 or 11:00 and the place that is open till 11 is sold out of food by 10:00 and does not prepare any more. As far as nightly entertainment they played a movie at the pool 1 night we were there. There was no other entertainment. Fully stocked bar consisted of 2 beers 1 soda and 2 waters. I booked this resort from your site afterseeing all the things VACATION EXPRESS advertised that the resort had and most of what was untrue and

This is the worst travel agency out there. We booked a handicap accessible Oceanview room only to get to the resort and find out there are no Handicap Accessible Oceanview rooms. We were stuck in the back of the resort where we had to deal with lizards in our room, mosquitos galore, slick showers which resulted in two falls. My parents had a mouse in their room that chewed through the creamer. We have been in contact with them and what they offered was $50. I didn't get the vacation I paid for and cannot get them to do anything about it.

    No Ocean View

Paid EXTRA per person for a Deluxe Ocean View Room. The room had absolutely no ocean view but a view of roofs, the pool and some palm trees. The resort told us "oh well you get what you get." Refused to refund any of our money and told us that we paid Vacation Express for the room and not them so our beef is with Vacation Express.

You will certainly pay to sale your currency back, but at least you re-coop some of your money. On a recent trip to Mexico we bought pesos at the rate of $12.95 pesos to the USD and ended up bringing back a few pesos. After going to my bank Wells Fargo I referred to Altour; which was luckily located next door to my office so it is very nice to just have to walk over this morning and sale the pesos. After an $8 service charge and their exchange rate of $1 USD to $14.86 pesos I only took a loss of $23.21 USD. Not bad considering it will probably be a while before I return to Mexico, so I got a little bit of my money back. Also, I should mention if you are selling your currency back to Altour AMEX is that they do not buy coins; only bills. I've now got $36 pesos in coins as souvenirs to remind me of my trip to Mexico.

It's inside the Lenox Place bldg. Just park upfront and its right there in front. I called about their rates before going there but the next day the Euro had gone up...oh well. I didn't have much of a choice. A guy was in line before me and walked out because he said the Euro was lower when he called the day before....ummm dude...it's going to be the same everywhere. Anyhoo, the lady that helped me was nice and gently explained the fees since I didn't know shit about changing money. Next time I will make sure to change my money at Bofa or any bank 4 days before my trip and if not, American Express on Peachtree Rd will be my go to place for foreign currency exchange! :D

I would never work with Jetset again…read more My father booked a cruise for our family via Jetset, in hopes it would make for an easy booking. As we wanted to extend our travels a few days on either end of the cruise, I reached out to them, letting them know we'd be booking our own travel and hotel, not doing the cruise package deal. Once I looked at the places they wanted to book us, I was shocked at the prices, and understood they must get commissions from booking unknowing customers into said locations. I'm glad we booked it ourselves, for 1/4th the price. In terms of the cruise that was booked - the details of the cruise were impossible to decipher, and I realized that after months of emails back and forth, Jetset was only sending me documents forwarded off the internet. They sent me stacks of papers inches high that were confusing. I finally contacted the cruise itself, which was Oceania, and they told me they'd sent a proper packet to us a month ago. When I contacted Jetset about why we weren't given any proper information, they constantly had fellow workers, 'listening in' on our conversations, so they could cover their asses. They said, 'Oh! It just arrived today! How weird!', although I was given the precise date it was sent by Oceania. After that, I stopped contact with Jetset, and worked exclusively with the cruise (Oceania) on understanding the details of the trip. Additionally, I asked about insurance for one of the family members for our trip. I was told I could buy some, and I did - without ever being told that there were several tiers of insurance for purchase. When I contacted Jetset about their misinformation to me, again - fellow workers 'listened in' on each others call, as our travel agent got defensive. A few days later, she sent a very defensive and detailed letter about why we were not told about the varying degrees of insurance. Finally, Oceania had incredible service, however - everyone on the cruise was over 60, which was a bit strange for me. Also, the ports we hit were blech and their tours overpriced and uninformed. I don't blame Oceania for any of this though. But Jetset simply didn't know anything about what they were booking - and every time I had a question, they had to contact Oceania and ask them, when I could do it easily myself. In short, Jetset knows nothing about what they're booking, tries to add overpriced items to your schedule, and spends more time covering their asses than giving straight information. The headache that they caused us before the trip, and the possible money we've lost as we bought the wrong insurance afterwards, makes me warn everyone - DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. YOU CAN EASILY BOOK THINGS YOURSELF FOR MUCH CHEAPER, AND WILL HAVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. That being said, everyone that worked there was, 'nice'. They said, 'Thank You', and 'Sincerely', and 'I apologize', a lot. But the only people who I think would need help with bookings are older people who don't know how to book via the internet. Guess what. They book for you over the internet, print things off the internet, and when you are confused, tell you to look at an app. Terrible experience.

I called the agency late in the afternoon on Friday and spoke with a receptionist who was not particularly friendly. I was informed that the agents had been in staff meetings all day and she would check into who was handling my inquiry. I was advised that the turnaround time for initial contact is typically very quick and I should hear Friday evening or Monday at the latest. I was also told there is a surcharge to their fee if travel is booked within the 30 day window. I did not know this detail but happened to call 35 days in advance of my expected departure. It is now late afternoon on Wednesday (30 days from my departure date) and I have still not heard from anyone at Explorations Travel Agency regarding my request. Fortunately, I did reach out to multiple agencies, but I had hoped to work with a local company. My itinerary is nearly finalized with another agent and I am so excited about making this holiday trip fantastic that I've increased the budget by more than 50% and extended my travels by two days. I make these statements because the form Explorations asks prospective clients to complete includes estimated travel budget and duration. If the lack of communication was the result of displeasure with the budget estimate I would advise that one should not assume a potential client could not afford more or is not a good candidate for luxury travel services.
