I didn't have a clue what UMC meant, and it was strange that the address brings you to a church. But, it turns out that UMC is short for 'United Methodist Church.' You will see 3 practice holes in the middle of the open field in front of the church. The actual course is to the left if facing the church. The first 2 holes are not shaded, but the ones thereafter are among the trees and well covered. Though there are trees, it wasn't a terribly hard course. Plus, the 9 holes doesn't take that long. With 3 to 4 people, it's about an hour's worth of exercise. With a couple more folks, it's about 1 1/2. It's a great course for beginners! Just watch out for the river on the left of the first hole. I'd recommend not standing on the platform but move towards the pillars.

Five minutes of getting there and into our walk, this dude comes chasing us down on his mower, scared the hell out of us, thought he was going to run us over, jumps off the mower and comes over and yells at me, "You didn't pick up your dogs poop!" Ok for one, my dog hadn't even had time to poop, we had just got there. And even if I hadn't I didn't appreciate the theatrics. I come there with my dog and disabled husband to walk in peace, it's good therapy for my husband who has dementia but this was uncalled for! If they want to really obsess over something, how about all the poop on the walkway and the used condoms I have to constantly step over!

Please be sure to pass this message to them. They all did a wonderful job showing up when called, thoroughly explaining procedure. Since we were new we only did levels 1-3L and 3High. What an adventure! My 8 year old son, wife, and I came to Treetop Quest Gwinnett on a sunny…read moreSaturday afternoon and had a blast for 2 and a half hours. Wife opted out of the adventure actually so she took some pictures and just hung out while my boy and I went through obstacles and zip line adventures. The courses are great for confidence building and father son bonding time and the courses are challenging enough to keep a child engaged and having a great experience throughout the time spent on the courses. Levels 1, 2, and 3 are age appropriate for kids (2 and 3 being 7+ year olds respectively). They start you off on a practice course which is good for beginners who are learning how to operate the buckles and getting onto the course and through the sometimes challenging swivel plates and points. My son had a bit of a hard time getting through some alone so going with a parent or older guardian is recommended as younger kids can get stuck and need some support. We began from level 2 as we couldn't find level 1 initially so it was fun and challenging right from the get go! Level 2 is a combination of obstacles and zip lining. Level 3 is appropriately labeled all fun and no work as it's a series of zip lines. Level 3 low was our favorite course while level 3 high was fun but had a portion towards the end that was a challenge as we had to unhook our connectors a few times to advance through the zip line. My son is on the smaller side so we had to get creative to disconnect. Also, on a few zip lines it says to stand up quickly which is important as it is possible to go backwards if you don't complete the zip line completely which poses a bit of a challenge as well. I had to go a few times after my son when he got stuck to get him to the other side by colliding into him and pushing him to the other side of the zip line. It all added to the adventure and excitement of the excellent courses. Treetop Quest Gwinnett is conveniently located in Buford so it was only a short 10 minutes drive from our home which was nice. We came before the crowds arrived which was early pm (12:30) which is when I recommend to come as crowds can cause wait times between each course. Overall, an excellent way to spend a few hours and to create memories with your kids and family. I plan to return with my older son as well as levels 4, and 5 are for 12+ year olds and is marked with challenging! We look forward to future visits and recommend Treetop Quest Gwinnett highly. 5 solid stars and two thumbs up! #AdventureIsOutThere!
