Great tastings and the owners are super nice. The small little tasting room is nice and their wines are delicious.

We had about 12 rowdy EARLY middle agers up to blue ridge for a birthday weekend. The cornerstone of the trip was a wine tour that included six stops and lots of driving. We all wanted to enjoy the experience and unfortunately everyone in the group is a stone cold boozer! Enter Gregg and Bev...the super hero DDs for the mountain winery tour experience. They met us at our cabin and waited patiently as we got our acts together. We were off and running, they were great drivers, great guides and knowledgeable about wine. They gave us hints at every stop, took copious pictures and graciously endured our chatter, singing and shenanigans between stops. If you're looking for a easy and safe way to tour the wineries in the North Georgia mountains, I highly recommend reaching out to Gregg and Bev!

Our plans changed midway through the day when we realized that one of the wineries was closing earlier than expected, so he quickly found another option so our tour could continue. Afterwards we had dinner downtown and he dropped us off back at home safe and sound afterwards. Highly recommended and worth the minimal expense.

Mercier Orchards - Menu cider tasting

Outside it has some beautiful views worth stopping for a photo and stopping at the bakery inside for some fried pies and cider donuts are a must! The fried pies were okay but the Cider Donuts are a show stopper. They also have tons of other things like fruits and veggies, toys, books, figurines, wine and more!

First things first -- get ready for a drive. This place is…read morenot just "down the street." It's a journey. But let me be very clear: it is 100% worth it. From the moment you arrive, you can tell Mercier Orchards is something special. There is so much packed into this one location that it almost feels like a small village built around apples and everything that comes with them. Inside the main store, the selection is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible -- home goods, gifts, jams, jellies, preserves, baking mixes, sauces, butters, ciders... anything and everything apple-related, plus plenty of other fruit-based goodies. It's the kind of place where you say "I'm just going to browse" and then walk out with bags of stuff you didn't know you needed. Then there's the bakery. Seven lines. All long. And all moving surprisingly well. I eventually stepped out of line after about 15 minutes, but not before getting a solid look at the pastries, pies, breads, and desserts -- everything looked incredible. Even without buying anything that round, the bakery alone is worth the stop. Now let's talk about the apple picking experience -- because this is where the magic really happens. Riding out on a trailer attached to a tractor felt like something straight out of a fall movie. The views, the air, the vibe -- it's peaceful, exciting, and nostalgic all at the same time. The apples change with the season, and the ones we picked were delicious and lasted a long time. No pesticides, just straight calcium. Fresh, crisp, and perfect. And yes... get a bag or three like I did. You're going to want them. The entire place also makes for amazing photo opportunities. Whether it's the orchard, the tractor ride, the store, or the scenery -- this is one of those spots where your camera roll is guaranteed to fill up. The only negative moment of the day happened when I went to grab some cider and one of the guys behind the counter completely ignored me. I actually had to call him out -- like, "Did you not see me standing here?" Not great. But that one interaction couldn't even come close to outweighing everything else this place offers. Bottom line: If you're anywhere in the area -- or even thinking about making a day trip -- you absolutely have to go. It's a little off the beaten path, so I don't expect most people to just "stumble" upon it... but if you plan it, you won't regret it. This is an experience, not just a stop.

First let me address the extreme bug infestation in the Cats Meow cabin. This was never addressed. We ended up having to deal with it on our own. Please be aware that these large insects were coming out of the faucets in the property. However, the issue here is this - I had initial dates booked here that ended up needing to be switched due to my Grandmother unexpectedly passing away. I called into Paradise Hills and the front desk gal adjusted the dates to what I stated, or so I thought, during funeral arrangements I simply did not have time or mental capacity to make sure they did their job correctly. Turns out they charged us for an extra night. The owner has since blocked my emails from coming through trying to get the night refunded, or resolve the disgusting bug/roach problem in the Cats Meow cabin. The lack of unprofessionalism from the owner and refusal to do anything regarding the bugs while on property, then charging an extra night we never asked for, refusing to refund it, then blocking my email to avoid the issue is insane. Steer clear from this place unless you want to be met with rude owners and sleep with roaches that you'll end up having to pay to kill and clean up yourself. Mind you, I've not been rude to Bob, or his staff, I'm simply trying to correct their mistake and never wanted to leave a poor review for the place. I'm simply trying to get refunded for the one night they charged extra for, which is basic customer service for their mistake, especially given the extreme bugs coming out of upper and lower faucets in the property and spewing into the common areas. As you can clearly see by how they respond to negative reviews, I am not surprised he blocked me from paying me what I would consider stolen money, and as you can see how these people treat anyone with a negative review tells you all you need to know. Not once did maintenance come by to deal with the mess of a cabin with a roach infestation (and don't try to say we didn't address this like you do to every other patron, I have receipts for EVERYTHING!) including images of your "bug sprayed cabins" (which, you're welcome for doing that for you Bob) All you needed to do was the honest thing which was give me my nights money back, that was due to the error of your staff. Steer clear from this place, and before the owners call "harassment" like they've done to everyone else on their reviews, please note I've tried handling this amicably and professionally and at some point the owners need to realize they're the issue.

They had live music and almost every table was taken. We walked up to a young lady who was serving wine in a cart. We told her it was our first time. And she explained that if we wanted by the glass, we can buy from her or go inside and get a tasting or a bottle. We decided to get a tasting first to see what we would like. We were greeted by a woman who gave us some good recommendations. However once she poured the wine on the carafe, we were not given wine glasses to pour them in. As a first timer, we just thought we were supposed to drink from those. It was only until a very nice lady who works there walked by and asked us where our glasses were. We said we were not given any. She went inside and got us two wine glasses with a little bag of oyster crackers each. It was a lovely day! Can't wait to come with my friends and family.

They don't have their food license yet, so just a heads-up--no kitchen service for now. But they do offer prepackaged meats and cheeses you can buy, which is a nice touch if you want something to nibble on while you sip. We opted not to do order snacks. I ordered a wine flight served in cute little glass containers and genuinely enjoyed all of them. I also tried the fall sangria--festive and not overly sweet, with real apple slices and a cinnamon stick. Perfect for the season. I sat outside in the early afternoon and loved the peaceful vibe. Plenty of outdoor seating, and from the quick peek I got inside, the interior looks beautifully done. I'll definitely explore more next time. Overall, it's a charming stop if you're already in the area.
