Gel manicure is poor because they don't polish close to the cuticle so you have to go back sooner. The last home I went the polish off 2 nails started coming off in 2 days. I went back to showed them and they said I would have to pay for polish change for thyroid fix it. BAD customer service! read more

Went there yesterday to treat myself and Mom to mani pedis. There were a ton of people there so many we should have walked away. First of all the place is dirty. They didn't scrub out the pedi tub after lady was in before me just hosed it out. There was lotion or some gross goop on the arm rests. The lady with cat eye glasses half assed everything she did we me trying to rush me through. After crappy pedicure where she didn't massage my legs for even five seconds she handed me a bowl of cold water with soap on my lap. I think some other lady had been soaking in it before me. Then instead of taking me to a table I sat there at pedi tub soaking. She put pillow on my lap and did manicure standing up. I have pretty short thin nails and she used a rough emery board on them. I looked down and my nails were uneven and jagged. I asked her to smooth the edges and she didn't understand me and took a rough buffer and buffed the top of all my nails. The color I picked was dried out. She poured acetone in the bottle and shook it. When she applied it it looked like crap. I had to ask her if I could chose another color. She got up and chose one herself and asked me if it was ok. Because I felt I was putting her out I agreed to it. She did crap job on the paint job. Man, I could do a better job at home. I go to be pampered a bit and relax. I didn't appreciate being rushed through like cattle. I work hard for my money and very rarely can treat myself to manicure. I learned if a place is busy walk out. Follow up Went back month later when they were not busy and got the best gel manicure I've ever had. My nails look amazing after 2 1/2 weeks. I'm adding 2 stars for props for the beautiful young girl that actually took the time to do the job right and very well. read more

The worst service I have had. I was hurt at least five times with cutting too deep or being way too aggressive. I felt that the service was extremely rushed and my person almost dumped my purse out because he just grabbed it upside down and walked over to another table. Went there as a walk-in this morning. The staff was friendly and attentive; they made me comfortable and my mani-pedi was very good. I tried their waxing services and the staff was very accommodating, taking time to make me comfortable. There was a slight delay in the final services; however, the staff asked if I was in a hurry or if I could wait about five minutes. Came here yesterday and got a really terrible mani pedi. Got the dude who seems nice Enough but shouldn't be giving manicures. First off he filed my nails crooked, and when it came time to buff my feet, it was quick and sloppy even though I asked him to take extra time and he said yes ok. Guess that went out the other ear. Sloppy polish job. At first I though they were sparkles in polish them I realized they were all air bubbles. For some reason I can't find a decent nail place in Santa Fe. Not bad for a $15 gel manicure. However my polish chipped in two days which isn't usual for my nails. The man who helped me was polite enough but a little rough, and he said something rude about a customer after they left. What a rip off!!! First - they put gel into the CNDC shellac bottles. Second - they charged me $32 for a shellac polish change where I took off my own shellac. Do not be fooled!! You should never ever have your shellac polish removed with a file of your nails. That works with acrylic nails only. Lastly the end polish had no shine and I had to ask for a third application of color since it was not close to the color I picked. They post $12 for a manicure - please tell me how I got to $32?! Confirm price before hand but - seriously - look elsewhere for shellac since they are marketing the service illegally. I will tell everyone I know and readers should too. Unbelievable!!! Not only did they act as if I was bothering them by going in to get my nails done but they were rude about the shape I was requesting, they were also rude to other customers. This is my go to place. The prices are great, I've never had a long wait and the service is excellent. Everyone is really friendly and professional and clean. If you're looking for an expensive spa experience then I would look elsewhere. But if you want a great, fast mani/pedi at a reasonable cost then this is a great choice. I was nervous to go here given the less favorable reviews, but things must have changed lately as I could not have had a better experience. It was packed at 11AM on a Friday morning with one chair open and a constant stream of appointments coming in the door, so the locals apparently really like it. Ben gave an excellent pedicure. No noxious gases; there are 8 ceiling vents and I did not notice any excessive odors. I had never seen a Dremel tool used to gently remove calluses and hardened skin, but it worked great! read more

The dirtiest, grossest place in Santa Fe - nail polishes are old, technicians do not wear gloves, cough in your face, and the place is run down in general. Carpet is gross! They ignore you for the cheaper services such as polish change or take off -- they only want to upsell - upsell -upsell and then you leave and the polish bubbles on you and you have to take it off by night time. I have gone to many nail salons in Santa Fe over the years and stumbled upon Diva Nails about a year ago because my usual salon was full. I have been going here ever since. They have a huge selection of gel and normal polish. Friendly technicians, and fabulous quality manicures and pedicures. I will not be returning. They weren't very clean or friendly. The man that did my nails acted like he was bothered by it. I asked for gel polish French Tip. They assured me it would be done. I waited 25 minutes without even being looked at. The manicure was too fast. He used the dryest white polish for the white tips and complained about it the whole time. It looked acceptable when it was done. I'm not terribly picky. Within 2 days they started peeling and within 5 days all but the pinkies were gone. Gel polish is supposed to last at least 2 weeks and not chip or peel. Don't waste your time or money. read more

My mom lives in Santa Fe. I was here once over Christmas and they did an awesome mani. I was home two weeks ago for a wedding and stopped in. The girl talked my into getting gel mani. It was peeled off within 24-hours. I went back and a gentleman fixed it- only he reapplied regular polish thinking it was gel, which they all thought was hilarious only it was annoying. They fixed it with gel and I flew back to Cali the next day. Gel was gone by that night. Total waste of $50. My mom went by the day after I left to explain to them that I was gone and the mani sucked- she had pics of my nails so they'd remember but they refused to acknowledge it. Someone recommend this place... its not unheard of for us women to have acrylic on our big toe nail~ Well, it seemed to be so unfamiliar to the technicians at this shop...it almost seemed to be an inconvenience to them! I've been to many salons in Santa Fe over the years and am so happy I finally found DIVA. Not only are they very close to my home, which just great, but I would travel far to this place.
