You can also have the option of opting out of the cost if you just want to watch and in my case, I was just going help my kiddo and observe. We wanted to have lunch first and the food is actually pretty good! I actually got the burger in a wrap which made it feel healthier yet still savory & delicious! There is also a shaded playground, foosball and ping pong tables. There are 2 mini golf courses to choose from, black (easier and flatter) and red (harder and hillier with obstacles). It's designed like a classic putting course without the cutest obstacles. So for younger kids, they may not find it as engaging unless they are really into putting. I ordered a margarita - which was a little watered down, but I also feel like I'm to blame because I didn't drink it fast enough. They have discounted tee times on Mondays if you're a part of the racket club community. Luckily my brother in law and I got a tee time with group and an amazing time. They don't have a driving range. They have a hitting net. You can hit your own balls there. They have a nice putting green. The course is surrounded by some houses. I wouldn't say they come in play on most of the holes. A couple of holes for sure if you're a long hitter. Layout is gorgeous. I would rate it a medium difficulty level course for 15 handicap like me. Not too many trouble areas for my swing. Fairways and greens were maintained very well. I got my own clubs from DC. They do have rentals as well. I am definitely looking forward to coming back here next year and hopefully play two rounds here.

I'm currently on a cross-country golf trip, play 3-4 times a week, and have had the opportunity to play many highly regarded courses, including other TPC and PGA-level facilities. Based on those experiences, I expected a similar standard here. During our round, my playing partner and I were approached on two separate occasions by employees who accused us of not checking in or paying for our tee times. Between two tee times and merchandise, I spent approximately $1,300 at the facility, yet I still had to produce my receipt twice to prove that we had paid. Once could be a misunderstanding. Being questioned twice points to a breakdown in communication and made us feel as though we were being treated like we had done something wrong. The biggest disappointment, however, was the pace of play. It was easily one of the worst pace-of-play experiences I've had at a course of this caliber. There appeared to be little to no enforcement on the course. I have experienced significantly better pace management at municipal courses charging a fraction of the price. When a facility carries the TPC name and charges premium rates, golfers should reasonably expect a premium level of service, organization, and course management. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. For comparison, our experience at We-Ko-Pa was considerably better from an overall service and golf-experience standpoint. The course itself has plenty going for it, but management and customer service need improvement. At this price point and reputation level, the overall experience should be much better.

People of all ages and skill levels hang out and the vibe is pretty mellow. There may be nicer driving ranges in town, but Coronado is inexpensive, centrally located and a chill place to practice your swing.

The people in the pro shop were friendly at check-in but things went downhill from there. The carts were super basic, not even having bluetooth audio. I normally wouldn't care but we paid ~$125 for green fees alone so I'd expect a better cart that what you get at a cheap municipal course. The cart girl wasn't very friendly and the drinks were almost double the price compared to PGA level courses I've played on Maui, etc. We had some novice golfers in our group and I'll admit we were a little slow, yet picking up balls when necessary and not causing a traffic jam. The marshal was extremely antagonistic when he approached us around the 7th hole saying something like "speed it up and don't make me force you to skip the next hole." A simple warning or heads up would've been better. Once we finished the cart return guys rushed us, grabbing my partners rental clubs before I could confirm that none of my personal clubs had inadvertently been placed in the rental bag. They seemed annoyed when I asked them to give me a few moments to check. Just bad customer service all around. I'm still giving this course 3 stars because the course itself was pretty solid and well maintained. However, you have much better options in Scottsdale unless you really want to play a par 3.

Ambiente is very challenging and if you lose your ball - leave it. Pass on digging in the fescue (snakes). The course is well maintained as it is a Marriott owned property. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the course and there is a shuttle. The entire staff is awesome and super friendly. The food is good! I recommend the breakfast burrito from the cart or anything from the restaurant. You know it's going to be a great day when playing this course! Fore!
