This little place is worth visit but make sure you book in advance as since the day one it's been fully booked. Ok let's get to business Food wise... TRATTORIA means tavern. Place where you'll get traditional home made food and that's what Trattoria Genova offers fresh tasty food... We don't need more of Jamie's Italian... We want authenticy and simplicity thanks guys:) Service..very friendly staff and owners. It's been a week since you open and you give the feeling like you were there forever. As soon as I walked in the floor staff greet with smile and give the warm welcoming feeling. This was my second visit and the barman remembered how I take my coffee.. . Hey ho! I like that! :) Inside... Just lovely. Beautiful modern twist with spectacular art on the wall and the ceiling.. Just go on and visit! You won't regret it. I'll be back for sure.. Well done!

I stumbled across this place when looking for somewhere to eat in Paisley. The first thing I…read morenoticed was the lovely interior of the restaurant. It's beautifully designed with a clean, modern feel making the dining atmosphere enjoyable. The servers were very friendly but I would have to say that they were not as attentive as I would have liked. We had to call them for refills on our water and prime them to clear out plates. However they were very personable and hopefully this was just due to the face that they've only been open a few days. I thought the food was slightly above average. I ordered the bruschetta to start and it was a good balance with the garlic and basil. Then I add the pollo Milanese which was average. Overall I would love to give this place four stars as its fresh on the block and boats of a lovely interior but I just feel the food didn't math up. It was what I expected but nothing above and beyond your traditional Italian.

And we find Andiamo, an upscale italian restaurant with excellent food and service, and best of all, offering lunch menu specials on a Saturday. Everything was delicious. The fry calamari was high standard. The spaguetti cozzy, with mussels was awesome. And the tortelloni dolcelatte, with nuts and spinach and cheese, to die for. Dessert: warm apple pie with ice cream and the caffe latte were so good. Bottom line, we had an excellent experience and strongly recommend everyone to try it

Colin and I decided yesterday that we were going to visit all 3 restaurants in one day; have a coffee in the Giffnock branch, a starter in the Milngavie branch and then a main course in the Hamilton one, and we managed it successfully! Upon stepping into the Milngavie restaurant, I was blown away. In comparison to the other two, it's so contemporary, fabulous and fresh. Black walls dotted with white and gold paintings and furnishings, a huge ornate fireplace and a whole lounge in the bar make this the largest of the three, but also definitely my favourite. Colin and I had starter portions of pasta to eat; Colin a Penne Modo Mio and myself a Rigatoni Norcina. Both were loved and scoffed down with a presumably indelicate manner. The staff were excellent, and loved to hear Colin was a fellow Andiamo staff member (even taking our final round of drinks off the bill!) Excellent work Andiamo! Now just get the other two up to a similar standard.

We popped into this tapas restaurant for a late lunch yesterday. Good selection of meat, fish,…read morevegetarian and vegan tapas providing lots of variety to choose from, plus several mains like paella, steak, etc. We decided to get a selection of 6 tapas, taking advantage of the 3 tapas for £9.95 offer (available all day Sat-Sun). Staff were warm and friendly, and we were immediately served complimentary bread, oil, olives and a jug of fruit-infused iced water - top marks for the welcome! Service and wait time was no issue as we were the only folks dining there (unsurprising as 3.30pm IS an odd time to be eating I suppose). I tried 4 of the tapas dishes - Guiso de Garbanzos (a slow-cooked chickpea stew in a herby tomato sauce), Tempura Vegetal (bite-size pieces of broccoli, cauliflower, courgette and carrot coated in a light crisp batter and served with a sweet chilli dip), Patatas Bravas (a tapas staple, this one was like roast potatoes with a thick tomato sauce on top), and a tapas-sized serving of the Paella de Verduras (which differed slightly from the description in the menu - no courgette or aubergine, but the mix of broccoli, carrots, peas, peppers and delicious savoury rice was fine without). The restaurant is fully licensed, however I had a nice fruity mocktail as I was out with the car. We really enjoyed the meal and I'm sure we'll be back again.

I was here last month to try the Spanish menu of the restaurant…read more I was pretty impressed about how the restaurant makes you feel in a real Spanish restaurant, decoration, free nibble while you wait for your main courses etc. We ordered: champiñones al ajillo (mushsrooms with garlic) morcilla rebozada (black pudding), gambas rebozadas (prawns), croquetas y carne guisada (lamb cubic). The best one was the lamb, really similar as the Spanish, and really tasty. Mushrooms and prawns were really good too and with the same elaboration as in my country. The less Spanish for us were the croquetas and morcilla, croquetas because the inside wasn't as creamy as they suppossed to be, and morcilla because in Spain most of the time we eat in smaller quantity and just themselves without the tempura. We also tried one of the wines from our region in Spain (12£) the bottle and was soooo good! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are nearby Paisley.

The name made me think it was going to be a Japanese place but it's not, it has a great variety of food on the menu and all very reasonable priced. The lunch set menu is £6.95 for 2 courses and the servings were big. The place is small and was busy when we went so maybe a good idea to book a table. I ordered a starter of nachos with pulled pork as my main. It tasted great but a few of the nachos were burnt at the edges. Your drinks come in cute little jar glasses. They also offer cocktails but as I was on my lunch break I wasn't able to try. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The place is modern and bright. Well worth a visit.

Having visited the restaurant for years, celebrating all manner of things with my family, I can honestly say I consider it to be Paisley's best restaurant. The staff are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and they make each experience - always a culinary delight - truly excellent. American and Italian influences are married beautifully; the latter being (thankfully) far more prominent leaving the former as an interesting accent. The resultant atmosphere is inviting, warm, relaxed and a pleasure to dine in. The lighting in the back is perfect and really makes Cardosi's a great place for a special occasion whilst the booths are somewhat secluded and provide for an intimate retreat in which to enjoy an afternoon or evening with good company. The menu has developed over the years but some signature dishes remain popular with my family; the simple Penne Alfredo is pasta perfection and the goats' cheese bruschetta (one of the four or so bruschettas offered) is divine. Presentation is thoughtful and consistent no matter which service you're enjoying; this is a testament to the kitchen staff as dinner can be exceptionally busy. Value is excellent, especially at lunchtime when two courses can be had for £9.50. Evening and pre-theatre are very well priced and do not overly restrict the diner. The à la carte options can be a little pricey but I have yet to be anything less than impressed by the choices therefrom. Recently there have been a couple of duck dishes on both the evening and à la carte menus which have been superbly executed. The Coppa Scozia, which raises the humble vanilla ice cream to dizzying gastronomic heights with the addition of crumbled Scottish tablet and hot caramel sauce, stands out from the dessert menu (but is equally matched by the rich and decadent cheesecake). Heralded by many as Paisley's go-to place for any special occasion, Cardosi's is unrivalled in the town and can hold its own against many of the reputable Glasgow restaurants. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, with a crowd or your significant other, you can be sure you'll be enjoying the very best that Paisley has to offer in quality dining.
