Cardosi's Restaurant - The meal is great! It makes you feel you are in Italy during that time! And the price is fair. Have to go their again!

Having visited the restaurant for years, celebrating all manner of things with my family, I can honestly say I consider it to be Paisley's best restaurant. The staff are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and they make each experience - always a culinary delight - truly excellent. American and Italian influences are married beautifully; the latter being (thankfully) far more prominent leaving the former as an interesting accent. The resultant atmosphere is inviting, warm, relaxed and a pleasure to dine in. The lighting in the back is perfect and really makes Cardosi's a great place for a special occasion whilst the booths are somewhat secluded and provide for an intimate retreat in which to enjoy an afternoon or evening with good company. The menu has developed over the years but some signature dishes remain popular with my family; the simple Penne Alfredo is pasta perfection and the goats' cheese bruschetta (one of the four or so bruschettas offered) is divine. Presentation is thoughtful and consistent no matter which service you're enjoying; this is a testament to the kitchen staff as dinner can be exceptionally busy. Value is excellent, especially at lunchtime when two courses can be had for £9.50. Evening and pre-theatre are very well priced and do not overly restrict the diner. The à la carte options can be a little pricey but I have yet to be anything less than impressed by the choices therefrom. Recently there have been a couple of duck dishes on both the evening and à la carte menus which have been superbly executed. The Coppa Scozia, which raises the humble vanilla ice cream to dizzying gastronomic heights with the addition of crumbled Scottish tablet and hot caramel sauce, stands out from the dessert menu (but is equally matched by the rich and decadent cheesecake). Heralded by many as Paisley's go-to place for any special occasion, Cardosi's is unrivalled in the town and can hold its own against many of the reputable Glasgow restaurants. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, with a crowd or your significant other, you can be sure you'll be enjoying the very best that Paisley has to offer in quality dining.

This little place is worth visit but make sure you book in advance as since the day one it's been fully booked. Ok let's get to business Food wise... TRATTORIA means tavern. Place where you'll get traditional home made food and that's what Trattoria Genova offers fresh tasty food... We don't need more of Jamie's Italian... We want authenticy and simplicity thanks guys:) Service..very friendly staff and owners. It's been a week since you open and you give the feeling like you were there forever. As soon as I walked in the floor staff greet with smile and give the warm welcoming feeling. This was my second visit and the barman remembered how I take my coffee.. . Hey ho! I like that! :) Inside... Just lovely. Beautiful modern twist with spectacular art on the wall and the ceiling.. Just go on and visit! You won't regret it. I'll be back for sure.. Well done!

I stumbled across this place when looking for somewhere to eat in Paisley. The first thing I…read morenoticed was the lovely interior of the restaurant. It's beautifully designed with a clean, modern feel making the dining atmosphere enjoyable. The servers were very friendly but I would have to say that they were not as attentive as I would have liked. We had to call them for refills on our water and prime them to clear out plates. However they were very personable and hopefully this was just due to the face that they've only been open a few days. I thought the food was slightly above average. I ordered the bruschetta to start and it was a good balance with the garlic and basil. Then I add the pollo Milanese which was average. Overall I would love to give this place four stars as its fresh on the block and boats of a lovely interior but I just feel the food didn't math up. It was what I expected but nothing above and beyond your traditional Italian.

Something about Lombardi reminds me of that scene from Lady and the Tramp, you know the one? Where they share the spaghetti? They serve breakfast through to dinner and the menu has everything you would hope to find in an Italian restaurant. I particularly recommend any of the fish dishes from the a la carte menu as one of these coupled with the decor does make you feel like your on holiday in Italy. You can expect to pay anything from £8 to £18 for a main course depending on whether you go for pasta or a meat/fish based dish. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed and the food is pretty good although not the best Italian I've ever eaten in Glasgow. I recommend Lombardi though for the feel of the place as I love the slightly naff decor as it reminds me of childhood holidays in Italy.

The latest instalment in the Saporito chain and a total breath of fresh air for Paisley…read more Having moved here little over a year ago, it's safe to say I've not ventured out too much. This towns food offerings leave a lot to be desired, and the better of them come with a hefty price tag. So I was delighted when Saporito opened yet another branch here. Myself, the girlfriend and her family trooped out last Sunday in pursuit of an alternative to the usual run of the mill Sunday dinners we've become acquired to of late - and it's safe to say we were not disappointed. I punted for the macaroni cheese - not the most adventurous of dishes, I'll admit - but certainly the tastiest. It was HUGE. Served with a delicious side salad and I went all out and got the chunky fries (gotta have something to pop up that excess cheese sauce, right?). As far as mac' and cheese goes this stuff was up there with the best; Sloans and my mums homemade mac but to name a few. The girlfriend went for the goats cheese and tomato style pasta bake. It looked equally as tasty as my mac' and cheese. As did the tagliatelle and lobster ravioli which featured at our table. Everyone was more than delighted with their food and suitably full up as well. Can't emphasise enough just how big the portions were - not that I'm complaining, as the price was more than fair for a plate half that size. The only criticism I had of this place was that we were literally the only people in the whole place. At 7pm on a Sunday evening I'd like to think that wouldn't be the case - however I'm sure once the word gets out about this place that people will be clambering for a table.
