Customer service definitely needs a make over. I am just happy that the services I wanted wasn't an emergency and that I didn't waste my time going to the business. I called to get an estimate to print a book and have it bound. The girl I spoke with was rude and very short with me, as if I was burdening her to do her job. I live in rural Calaveras County. There are no real copy shops here, and my experience in Tuolumne County has been disappointing. Yet I need to make complex 8.5 by 14 booklets of up to a hundred pages pretty often. My solution is to drive one hour to Dittos, who make them quickly and perfectly on the spot. In my experience, Brad the manager, who is unbelievably competent, and also nice, is usually right there... even at seven in the morning. I looked at the bad reviews. Here's the thing: don't email your job to them with a written description and expect to pick it up, done. Some shops do run that way, but I haven't found that to be true of dittos. Their machines are so great that most of the time they can do it right then, in a half hour or less. If not that, for example binding, or large jobs, call them and ask the best approach for your project. They are really awesome, let them shine. read more

Very displeased with my experience. They emailed me from two emails and got confused about which logo to use for my project and ended up using the wrong one. I let them know it was the wrong logo when I picked up my order and I got the run around about why they used that logo, admittedly, not the one I asked for in writing. Attempted to place an order for a backdrop and tablecloth for our baseball league. Spoke to someone in person, then over the phone, they requested I send an email with invoice numbers from the estimate. I did so, didn't hear back again, checked in five days later on the status, and the order was never made. Somehow, between our conversation over the phone, in person, and my email, the order wasn't started. Then I had to wait for their designer to send me the proofs. The logo I submitted to them was not good enough, I sent multiple different logos, PDF, SVG, at the end of the day the image would still be pixelated, per the designer. I had called and emailed multiple times again, the customer service was really lacking. They made it seem as if I was clearly bothering them, when my order should've already been completed. They dropped the ball on starting the order and were not helpful whatsoever in assisting me to get the right logo submitted. I definitely feel like they could have tried way harder to keep us as a customer, instead, they've lost a customer that was interested in doing lots of business with them. Sadly I want to use Dittos because I was told they are locally owned however, every time I send in an order with a time and date to pick up it is never done. Could it be me? Today I called to confirm they got my emails, the lady said she did and would begin working on them now. I confirmed I would be in at 3:30. I walked in at 3:15 the girl I spoke with was at lunch and the documents were not even started. On the plus side the man I spoke to got right to work on my order. I continue to use this place because the prices are more reasonable than other places. But wow is the customer service terrible. Every time I've called I've spoken to someone who absolutely doesn't want to help me. I get to the point of begging for help because my knowledge of printing is obviously less than the person on the other side of the phone. Going into the store is even worse. Everyone is extremely rude, it's shocking to see such miserable people. Not only were they treating me poorly, but I witnessed them treating other customers poorly as well. I'm having a string of bad service lately, wondering how local businesses can stay afloat with such shoddy customer service. So I decided to start doing the only thing I can - writing reviews. I called Dittos and specifically asked if I brought in a one-page PDF, could I get 15 color prints of it while I wait. No problem, they said! So I went in and was told that the machine is in use so I'd have to come back later to pick it up. "Ummm, you only have one machine?" "No, we have two, but it's busy too." "But I called a little while ago specifically to find out if I could come in and get the prints (which would literally take less than two minutes to make) while I wait and I was told yes."
