Lovely from start to finish. It is rare when I don't have leftovers to bring home, but our plates were empty.

My boyfriend brought me here to celebrate my birthday before attending the Nikki Glaser show at Babeville. Immediately when I walked in, I loved the vibes. It was bright, chic, and gorgeous. I loved the orange wallpaper near the wine racks. It enhanced the corner. We were greeted with the host and he hung out jackets up. We were made to feel welcome right away, which was great. Ricki was our server and she was absolutely lovely. She was attentive and personable. Rita, the owner, came over and said hi and she was wonderful. We received a meat platter with olives. The meat included mortadella, capicola, and proscuitto. The meats were great, but what really stood out to me were the olives. I am not an olive girl and those olives were amazing. I could have eaten the entire place out of these olives. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was excellent and I enjoyed my steak, which was from Moriarty, and Phil enjoyed his lasagna, which looks exquisite. We also got a salad with nutritional yeast sprinkled over it. They don't ask you how you want your steak done, but that doesn't matter because it was tender and flavorful. It was served with gravy and capers. Never thought to put capers on my steak, but it works well. They had a dinner with Katie Parla the day before we went to DiTondo's, and they had some specials from that still. That meant I got to order the flour less cake and it did not disappoint. It was wonderful. It wasn't too sweet, it was the perfect sweetness. I loved that cake. This is the perfect date night spot. Check this place out. They also have a parking lot on the corner, or you can park in front of the building. DiTondo also has some shelves out front with products for sale. They looked lovely.

Best authentic Italian food in buffalo!!! I almost don't want to share my experience just to keep it a hidden gem but this was hands down the best food we've had in a long time! Our waiter, Tom, was also very professional and nice. The ambiance of the restaurant was a clean, very subtle touch of Italy and so peaceful even though it's right on seneca st. I loved the open kitchen and watching the chefs in action. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for an amazing meal DiTondo!

I would definitely come here again I enjoyed the ambiance watching the chef cook, and food was delicious & just so flavorful. The service was amazing and our waiter was very attentive to our needs especially with my dairy-free allergen. He was able to answer all questions regarding the menu. Also I was disappointmented because there was no options for dairy-free desert, so couldn't have that. Other than that I really enjoyed being at the restaurant, we talked for a while, & enjoyed great food & company.

Everything on the menu is excellent, however, my personal fave is the pork and the beef entres. Our server Lace was very fun and knowledgeable about the wines and menu. The owner Rita, stopped off at our table to make sure that everything met our expectations and was very kind and thanked us for dining. This restaurant makes you feel like you have taken a trip to Italy for dinner. We will be going again!

This restaurant has new owners, new interior, and a new authentic menu. Stepping into the building was like stepping into a a cafe in Italy. The smells of food and coffee greet you at the door along with a beautiful atmosphere that is cozy, modern, and warm. The food was AMAZING. Super authentic and light. Next time I come, I plan on getting coffee as well because if the coffee is authentic as the food I will be in heaven. The portions were great for lunch. I am satisfied and not overly full. I will definitely be back for this little slice of Italian heaven

Haven't been here for a while and a friend suggested we go for lunch. Food is just as delicious as last time ,especially the lasagna. I wish they would be open for dinner because it is a lot to eat for lunch

Wow. Hands down some of the best pizza we've had…read more We ordered the San Felice Pizza -- San Marzano tomatoes, house-made sausage, sweet and spicy peppers, onion, buffalo mozzarella, and fresh basil -- and it was absolute perfection. The flavors don't compete... they melt together into one big, perfect masterpiece. The peppers leaned sweet (no real heat), which made them the ideal companion to the delicious sausage. And that sausage? Made in-house and seasoned beautifully, with the perfect amount of fennel -- enough to give it that classic Italian character without overpowering the pie. Perfection! The buffalo mozzarella added creamy richness, the basil kept everything bright, and the San Marzano tomatoes were clean and balanced. We love pizza in all its forms -- New York style and Napoli alike -- but there is something about the rustic goodness of true Neapolitan pizza that has a special place in my pizza-loving heart. That airy, soft center and char-kissed crust from the wood-fired oven is magic. The use of such fresh ingredients makes Forno Napoli my favorite pizza on NY so far - authentic and intentional. There is a lot of love and pride in everything from the handmade crust to all of the toppings. They also serve a garlic butter and cheese dipping sauce for the crust -- indulgent and completely unnecessary in the BEST possible way. That blistered crust dipped in that sauce? Unreal. The cheese? Yes, they have the most beautiful wheel of pecorino they hand grate from to make this happen. No green shaker bottles here! We met Felix, the owner, and he was incredibly welcoming. He has such great energy -- warm, engaging, and clearly passionate. You can tell he's the heartbeat behind the recipes and the success of the business. It feels personal. He made us want to share just how great our entire experience was and he certainly made us want to return. Our only regret? We were too full to try another pizza. Do not hesitate. This truly is a slice of heaven.

The bartenders were all friendly, but Tom was particularly helpful. Checking to mate sure that everything was good and offering suggestions. I ordered steak in au gratin potatoes. He brought me cheese bread that was phenomenal. It was served with butter and some sort of sauce that I didn't try. I got a new york strip that was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The au gratin potatoes were shredded potatoes. They were okay but definitely not what I would have expected at a steakehouse. I would not order them again. We ordered a variety of appetizers, and the meatball and Mediterranean platters remain my favorites. You must try their homemade pita--light, airy, and with just the right chew. They absolutely know how to do steak. My side of almond broccolini unexpectedly stole the show. The bright burst of lemon was the perfect complement, cutting through the richness of the mashed potatoes and filet. As for dessert? Hands down, the chocolate mousse cake. If you're getting it to go, be sure to ask for the coffee gelato before you leave--don't miss out on this perfectly smooth, rich treat. Our guests are still talking about their meals!

While we had a 5pm reservation, in hindsight it probably wasn't necessary as we were seated right away and quickly greeted by our server, Allie G. To start, I ordered the Apple Cider Mule (mocktail) which was festive and delicious while my brother went for the Logan Mule (so Buffalo). Naturally, we wanted bread (what I thought was a given in an Italian restaurant). Sadly, it was $3 for warm bread, which felt a little rude, but of course I ordered it and devoured it, too! I also started with the mushroom bisque that was on special and it was fantastic as it was rich, flavorful, and the kind of soup you want to eat slowly so it lasts longer. For my entree I chose the Crespelle while my brother got his favorite, the Brasciole. The food was truly the highlight of the evening. Everything was prepared well and very, very satisfying. I would say that the service, unfortunately, left a bit to be desired. Not terrible, but not great. I hate having to ask another server to bring a box, the check, etc. because our server was no where to be found. There is free parking somewhere, though we only noticed the sign for it after we had already paid to park. That said, the atmosphere at Tappo is always lovely and the portions were generous for the price. Of course, I'd absolutely return - especially to try one of their fun igloos someday!
