It was a busy work day, so less noise is always appreciated. Our server Eduardo G. was friendly and attentive. The chips were fresh, along with the large bowl of salsa and smaller bowl of white sauce. The draft beers were cold. We enjoyed our dinner orders of the Enchiladas Supremas and Chori Pollo. We had plenty to take home for another meal since the servings were a good size. This location of Los Primos in the Mt Pleasant Shopping Center in Chesapeake is family friendly and has lively music playing at a low-moderate volume. We like the service and atmosphere, and we appreciate that we don't have to shout across the table when we're enjoying dinner and conversation.

The staff is always welcoming here, and one of the things we appreciate most is the consistency. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, the food is reliably fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile. After a rather indulgent lunch, we decided to keep dinner light and split the Chicken Taco Salad along with a small quesadilla. The taco salad arrived in a crisp tortilla bowl piled high with seasoned chicken, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and plenty of melted cheese. The quesadilla was nicely toasted with tender chicken and gooey cheese, while the creamy refried beans rounded out the meal perfectly. Everything was simple, satisfying, and prepared with care. If you're looking for authentic Mexican street food, friendly service, and generous portions at a fair price, La Hacienda continues to deliver. It's the kind of dependable neighborhood restaurant that earns repeat visits, and we'll certainly be back.

It doesn't look like much on the outside but do not be fooled (as I was), they offer authentic Mexican cuisine at fair prices (a rare and dangerous combination.) I started out with a Ice cold Corona as I perused the menu options. I decided to try the burrito carne asada. This was a large burrito filled with beef (carne asada), beans, lettuce, tomato and rice and covered with melted white cheese. It came out quickly and it was delicious. I also tried the chicken tacos. They were served on two corn tortillas with a generous portion of chicken and cilantro. It was awesome. If you are looking for a wonderful place to enjoy a great mean, check out this place and don't be fooled by the fact that it is at the front of a trailer park, that just adds to the charm of the place.

My husband recently changed his order from the regular burrito to the Texas cheese dip and make an entire meal out of it with an extra side of tortillas. I'm pretty generic but I will go back-and-forth between regular beef tacos and fajitas, but they do have a really good soup. If you're craving Mexican, definitely stop in.

For my daughter and I we were able to snag a table after waiting about 10 mins. My daughter ordered the shredded chicken quesadilla.. it was a good size portion with lots of chicken inside. Her only complaint was that the dish was greasy... I went with the Chicken Fajitas. They were good as well. The chicken has a lot of oil in the pan which also made this dish very oily. The chicken was bland in flavor.. but they gave a lot of chicken for 1 person. The white sauce with the chips was the best. A few reviews say it was spicy.. but didn't taste any spice at all. The biggest complaint would be the ambience... it was very noisy and hard to hear someone talking to you. As well, for a Mexican restaurant, I didn't hear any music playing. Having visited hundreds of Mexican restaurants, I would rate this place between 3.5 and 4...

We were sat immediately around 630 on a Friday evening. We received chips and dips before I could even sit down! Our server promptly greeted us and drinks were ready within minutes. So far, so good. For dinner, hubby had the Vegetarian E which came with a burrito, quesadilla and chalupa, daughter had the kids quesadilla with beans and I initially selected the shrimp bowl. Our food took about 15 minutes. Both quesadillas were barely warm and the cheese wasn't even melted. The refried beans were loaded with red pepper and too spicy for my child. My shrimp bowl was overwhelmed by cheese and aioli that I couldn't stomach it. Our server kindly let me order something else so I selected the shrimp taco salad. It arrived shortly thereafter but was also so greasy it made my stomach turn. 2 stars just for service. 0 for food. Overall, this meal was an unfortunate waste of $50.

We started the night with drinks: I went for a cold Modelo, while my friends both ordered margaritas, and wouldn't stop raving about how good they were! For appetizers, we shared the Union Trio! Fire roasted tomato salsa, creamy guacamole, and queso served with crisp tortilla chips. All three were fresh and delicious, a great way to kick off the meal. For my main, I mixed things up with a taco trio! Carne Asada (marinated steak, onion, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro), Chicken Tinga (marinated chicken, refried black beans, avocado, greens, queso fresco, cilantro) and Blackened Mahi (mezcal pickled onion, red cabbage, red pepper pico, chipotle sauce, cilantro). The blackened mahi was my hands down favorite. It was super flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My friends tried some awesome dishes too! One had the Coconut Curry Mahi (blackened mahi, jasmine rice, edamame succotash, with a rich coconut curry cream sauce) and the other had the Duck Confit Taco (with cherry salsa, pickled carrot salad, and cilantro-lime creme). Our waitress was phenomenal and definitely suggested great choices. If you're in the area and craving something a little more elevated than your average Mexican spot, Union is absolutely worth checking out. Great food, tasty drinks, and a stylish atmosphere!
