Food hall in NJ! It is near the hotel we were staying. I was excited. I was just on Yelp to see if there is any food near by. It's like .3 miles. It was bigger than I thought and I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to eat either. There is plenty of seats once you decide. There are around 13 food vendors. One being dessert. You won't be disappointed. 149/2019

This gleaming, brand new food court inside the Harborside Financial building is a great addition to the food scene in downtown Jersey City. The food court itself reminds me of Brookfield Place's Hudson Eats. It has a nice variety of food vendors and plenty of seats (there are more seats further inside the food court). Each vendor's stall has an open kitchen so you can watch the chefs as prepare the food. The vendors l look forward to trying are those that didn't have a store in downtown JC before, such as Kimchi Grill, Pizza Vita and Angry Archie's.

Good selection of unique vendors here. Place is very clean, probably because it is still new. On the day I visited, it was quite empty, but I'm sure the business will pick up once more people hear about it.

I came to District Kitchen for the Yelp event last month & I was thoroughly impressed. This place is almost like a higher class food court that you would find in the mall. The options are all locally sourced businesses & a diverse set of food options. Whether it's sushi, a lobster roll, chicken tikka masala or a burger you can pretty much get whatever your heart desires. We tried a sample from each of the stations- some better than others but would recommend trying for yourself. My only qualm about the place is it's hours. I know this place is intended for professionals on their lunch hours but would be great if hours were extended to 9 so locals can have for dinner as well.

This place has variety of different vendors. The whole place is very clean and organized. Sad to see that the business is slow due to covid. Some beloved places of JC are definitely worth checking out!

A lot of great options and variety of food and desert. There was a coffee shop and desert as well as a bar area.

Not spicy, quoted to be rice balls but not quoted to be fried

The food is very questionable here, went to a store that sold sushi then another one that sold kimchi rice balls. Both quoted to be spicy, but it was just bland. Like no taste, all I tasted from my sushi was the soy sauce... that's it. Be cautious of the place that sells sushi and kimchi

This place is every claustrophobic person's worst nightmare. Walking around to see what each stall had to offer was difficult with swarms of people constantly moving around. Fortunately, we were able to find a table for four to eat our food. We tried food from three vendors, which gave us a nice variety: - Liu Liu Sheng Jian 六六生煎王 - Nai Brother 奈哥 - Tarim Uyghur Food There are at least 20 vendors at this food court, with more options than we could possibly try in one visit. With so many people, I quickly became overwhelmed by how busy it was. Still, I'd definitely come back to try some of the other vendors, but probably on a less busy day!

Made my stomach feel not so clean after but it was good! The soup dumplings were okay, I don't think it's the best or worst I've had. The food court has no reception and can get very packed, especially since this place gets talked about a lot. The food court also has cool vending machines with blind boxes that are sometimes hard to find which is nice. If you live here it's pretty convenient place to stop by.

According to an Instagram post from Hainan Jones this summer, there's was 6-month "pardon." I enjoyed the hokkien mee at Prawnaholic Collections. RIP Urban Hawker…read more Though if you wanted to recreate that part in movie plots where the protagonist we all thought had veered into untimely demise surprises everyone by miraculously making a comeback--I'm down for that too! Though on a serious note--kinda bummed bc I wanted to make one last visit before they closed July 17, though unfortunately I didn't make it back to town in time :( What a loss of a cultural connection point for the city! Food is a gateway to experiencing and understanding other cultures and this location was front and center in midtown, blocks from Times Square. In a sea of other cuisines, this part of Southeast Asia didn't/doesn't have much representation in general in Manhattan, and even less so now. Scouring articles and comments online I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they're able to find a different space in the near future! Was it the best food court? I'll admit this was easily debatable for many reasons. But each stall had their own standouts. Tradsiyon was a later addition though had really solid braised meat and veggie bowls; Hainan Jones stepped into a midtown scene several years ago with no other similar Hainanese chicken spots in midtown (a few others thankfully are around today); Kopifellas brought uniquely Singaporean/Malasian tea and coffee options; I still remember the first bite of Prawnaholic's signature shrimp and rib noodles tasting that savory goodness for the first time; and most of all I will dearly miss this location of Lady Wong, where I rarely walked away empty handed. Thank you for the memories (and think about that movie plot twist I mentioned above)!

I was pretty surprised to find fresh, handmade dim sum here, and the best part is you don't have to tip like you normally would at dim sum spots. They also have SUPER affordable roast meat over rice (燒味飯), starting at just $8 for one topping, two for $9, three for $10, and four toppings for just $12. And I always have to stop by Yan Wo Dou Bun (人和豆品) for their tofu pudding too. *Roast Duck 燒鴨, Soy Sauce Chicken 豉油雞, Roast Pork 燒肉 Both the duck and chicken had that glossy, shiny skin, caramelized to a reddish-brown color. They were a little more bone-in than I'd prefer, but the meat itself stayed tender (even the chicken breast!). The roast pork belly was my favorite of the three. It wasn't overly salty like a lot of the roast pork I've had around Chinatown, and I loved the crispy skin and lean-to-fat ratio. *Sampen Congee 艇仔粥 $8 + Youtiao 油條 $2 This one hit so hard on a rainy day. 艇仔粥 is always my go-to when I don't know what to order since you get a little bit of everything. They really loaded this one up with thick-cut fish fillet (LOVE), squid, pork strips, and youtiao slices. I also ordered a fresh youtiao on the side, and it was GINORMOUS. Dipping crispy youtiao into hot congee is the GOAT. *Vegetable and Pork Bun 菜肉包 $5 *Deep Fried Taro Dumpling 芋角 $5 *Black Sesame Roll 芝麻卷 $4 The dim sum stall had the longest line when I was there! I only tried three items, and the steamed bao was my favorite. You can also grab their frozen dim sum to take home. The 芋角 had a lacy, crispy crust and stuffed with minced pork and smooth taro paste, while the black sesame roll wasn't quite nutty enough for me.

Figured I'd check it out for dinner since they showcase so many good eats. The space operates just like a Food Hall where there are a variety of food stalls to purchase from and you sit in a general seating area (center of the indoor space). Some outdoor seating but it is not covered. I spotted a French bistro and bar, BBQ, Thai, Vegan and burgers' spot just to make a few. Each stall offering unique food options and independent of one another so there's no competition. Something for everyone. Really well maintained, tables are frequently cleaned and each place offers a buzzer so you're alerted when the food is ready. There's even a photo booth and a backyard type garden space once you get to the back of the space. That outdoor oasis is great for groups, not covered (no roof, just open seating) but offers mood lighting and bright decor. Music plays overhead in both spaces, on speakers and there are several TV's featuring sports channels and food videos inside the hall. This visit I tried the BBQ stall (think smokey brisket and mac and cheese) and hubby got Thai food (Pad Thai with shrimp). Both were great choices and reasonably priced overall. Daily lunch specials throughout at $14 a pop, per the advertisement on the front door area. Casual chic is how I would describe the place. Great air conditioning and great for groups of all sizes. High top seating, standard tables and booths available. Very comfortable and a nice foodie spot overall. We were never rushed and I saw folks just enjoying a night out. Totally recommend.
