It's medium in size, but packed (but not junky) with artwork, furniture, and decor. Prices were surprisingly affordable (yes, there are high cost items too). I got an original design art piece along with other artwork and a beautiful glass vase from Poland (thick glass) among other things. When I learned he ships anywhere, I was able to get a large square glass dining table that my daughter- in- love fell in love for them (house warming gift) -- it will be shipped up north. Austin has a wealth of design knowledge he willingly shares. He is personable and also helped us fit everything in our van creatively. We couldn't have done it without him! All the pieces were well marked with prices. And the prices were a delightful mix of what I can afford: a pristine blue couch for $550, a metal sculpture for a shelf for $30, to what I could not afford: a huge blue funky metal cactus sculpture for $4,700. It isn't a terribly large space, but everything was well merchandised. Stop in!

Now that I finally do, it feels like I am getting a second chance to see the places I missed when I used to live here. PS HomeBoys had always been on my radar and the moment I walked in I understood why. I absolutely love the vibe of this place. The showroom feels like the perfect expression of the Palm Springs design spirit. It is bright, colorful, creative, and unapologetically mid-century modern while still feeling fresh and current. The shop was founded by interior designer Jeremy Taylor together with his partner Niels Kosman, and you can really feel that designer's eye throughout the space. Every piece feels intentional, from the furniture and lighting to the artwork and wallpaper. Nothing feels random or mass-produced. It feels curated. Palm Springs has such a strong design identity and PS HomeBoys captures it perfectly. Walking through the store feels like stepping into the kind of home you see in the iconic desert architecture that made this city famous. It is easy to imagine how these pieces would work in a stylish desert home or even a vacation rental, which makes sense because they also help stage and design homes around the area. For anyone who appreciates great interior design, mid-century style, or just wants to browse something different from the usual furniture stores, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I am honestly glad I finally made the time to go inside after all these years. Sometimes you pass by a place for years without stopping, and then when you finally do you realize you should have gone in a long time ago. This is definitely one of those spots.

I'd like to think I'm hipper than the hippest person out there... but I'm honest enough to admit…read moreI'm not anymore. I used to be deeply plugged into the fashion world. I wasn't just following trends, I was ahead of them. I wore things before they hit, before they made sense to anyone else. That takes effort, instinct, and money. It's a different kind of life. And unless you're in it every single day, on the creative or design side, you slowly lose touch with what's emerging now. Walking into Mojave Flea Trading Post brought all of that back in a very real way. I feel completely comfortable in a space like this, but it also reminds me of a version of myself that used to help shape what people wore. There's a quiet nostalgia to it. Not regret, just awareness. I don't need to be that person anymore. Now I care about different things. I look for natural fabrics like 100% cotton and linen, pieces that breathe, pieces that feel good on your skin and don't come with all the hidden downsides. And this store delivers on that. There are racks of thoughtfully curated items that feel both current and wearable, coming from new designers who are clearly paying attention. It's not just clothing. It's a point of view. And what makes it even better is the space itself. There's a matcha spot and a small food area tucked into the back where you can sit, slow down, and just enjoy being there. It turns a shopping trip into something more like an experience. This is a genuinely great addition to Palm Springs. The kind of place that gives the city a little more edge, a little more relevance. Palm Springs is lucky to have it.

If…read moreyou're shopping in a nice store (which is an understatement for A La MOD), you should be respectful of your surroundings. People who let their children run wild in a place that sells vintage (often times) restored to their original beauty, should not take offense to the store owner that takes pride in their business. Nor should you take offense if you THINK you might have something worth selling there, when it is clearly not appropriate. Consignors and people that want to sell their "parent's mid-century furniture" are often times not versed in the Mid-Century Design world. You cant fault the store owner for knowing what the right merchandise is for their store... MOVE ON. There are places to consign your familys "Heirlooms" but North Palm Canyon Drive is probably not the right place for that. Jimmy and Miguel are great to work with and they're both nice guys. It's too bad that people are quick to judge someone over them not wanting to purchase your stuff...Like Jack Nicholson said "You can't handle the truth" But then to go and write a bad review just shows your lack of dignity.
