Open tank with neck rest and light on

I used to be a local and since then moved to Philadelphia, PA. I heard of Dissolve from a friend as well as have seen their Groupons regularly. On visiting my family for a few days we have been non-stop doing things, my anxiety and stress bouncing all over the place. We also decided to go to Hershey on a very packed hot day... needless to say my calves and feet feel it the most after a day of walking all over that park. I decided to try Dissolve after watching several YouTube videos including the one sent to me after booking my first float the day of (was awesome they had openings in the schedule and they don't demand an actual 24 hour book ahead). When I got there I was greeted by the woman at the front desk, she was helpful and did go over everything which was super nice. The rooms where the floating tanks are were clean and had everything you basically needed in there but I did bring my own towel and toiletries. The experience itself was interesting, I am tall and although the actual pod is huge I still felt myself bumping into the sides at times. There was a button for the blue lamp in the unit that turned it off and on. There was a second button for music. The music is not super loud and I struggled with wanting it on and off, but ended up leaving it on. The bathrooms had a good selection of stuff to use at your convenience after the soak. I would have to say that in just that session I feel more relaxed and my feet/calves are not sore at all anymore! This is something I definitely will try again and hopefully I'll be able to find one comparable to this in Philadelphia! My one tiny negative would be to make the tea/water station a bit more appealing with maybe fruit infused waters etc. Overall I have no issue recommending this place to others!

Dissolve's lobby, decorated by salt lamps. Very fitting!

I had never tried Floating before going to Oasis Float Company. But I had been struggling with…read moreinsomnia for months and had tried everything I could think of. I filled out a form explaining the results I was hoping for. As I was filling out the form, a gentleman came out after his float and, when his wife asked him if it helped his chronic back pain, he told her he wasn't feeling any pain at all! He looked stunned. Then he asked if he could come every week! One of the owners took me into a room with a nice stand up shower and a big pod filled with skin-temperature water filled with epsom salt. She explained how everything worked and left. Once I showered with their unscented shampoo and body wash, I climbed into the pod, put in the provided ear plugs and closed the door of the hatch. I floated for one hour in the dark (my preference because you can leave the lights on if you want) to experience sensory deprivation. When the hour was over, the lights in the pod came on and a soft voice on an intercom in the pod told me my hour was completed. I got a discount for being a first time customer and went home feeling relaxed. That night, I slept better than I have since having kids!! And I was super calm for almost two weeks after my float. For someone with anxiety, it was like a vacation from my body and brain!

I was involved in a car accident and still have pain on the side of my body that was damaged pretty bad. I voiced that to Ms. Maura and she always takes the time to make me feel so much better!! She uses several techniques to give me relief from the constant pain. It's such a positive feeling knowing you have someone that is willing to take the time to listen and try out different techniques to help you feel the best!! Remedy offered several series packages for just about everything they offer! It's a great way to save money and get locked in with a certain package so you can have re-occurring treatments for less money! They offer facials, different massage techniques, acupuncture, floating and they even do bridal packages. So there is something for just about everyone!! Just a little tidbit but I also just realize that they sell beard wash and creams as well All in all this is now my go to massage therapy location because I know for sure Maura will go to great lengths to make sure I am taking care of!! I have been a client here for nearly two years and feel the massage therapists working here are…read moreoverall very skilled and professional. You can't go wrong with any of them and they're the real reason to visit this massage studio. The massage rooms and tables are extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are sparkling clean, and the float tanks are a really cool experience as well. There is a beautiful sauna area that's very Instagram worthy. All of the areas where you receive a service feel very serene, spa-like, and upscale. Meredith is a lovely person and makes really good use of aromatherapy and long holds or pauses in her massage that make you feel super relaxed and zen. She is certified in pregnancy massage and does a great job. Marcus has super strong hands, is ideal to see if you're looking for deep tissue massage, and makes good use of hot stones and warm towels. Ben is great as well, did some passive stretching along with the massage for tight areas. Karen seems to intuitively know the perfect amount of pressure to use and does the best head and face massage ever. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the entrance and waiting area you sit in prior to your massage/float doesn't really match the atmosphere of the other rooms. I think it's a little too kitsch and cluttered and reminds me of walking into a small store that feels very casual and doesn't have the ambiance of the massage rooms. Unfortunately not very "Instagram worthy". There's a lot of stuff for sale that isn't directly related to massage or even wellness, such as bohemian style clothing, silver jewelry, wind chimes, etc. The Speakeasy room has relatively uncomfortable seating (there are two firm, backless benches and just two chairs with a low back), more displays of non-massage related things for sale (such as non alcoholic refrigerated drinks, candies, books, artwork, etc.), large displays of business cards and fliers for other local businesses, and dark furniture which just makes the room feel small and cluttered. You sort of feel like you are waiting in a shop rather than being a member at an upscale massage and wellness studio. The self serve tea display is really, really nice but just gets lost in the clutter/decor/fliers. And my only other gripe is that the infrared sauna is preset to a really, really high temperature (maybe higher than spa saunas I have used elsewhere) and I was told it doesn't allow for adjustments. I was excited to use the sauna but couldn't tolerate it more than a few minutes at a time. During my sauna session I simply had to exit the sauna every few minutes to cool off a bit. I realize this is maybe because I am a sauna newbie but I do wish there was an "intro to sauna" setting for those like me to use. In summary: great services, great massage therapists, kitschy entryway/waiting area design which is absolutely not a dealbreaker

I then received an email that I would not be charged for the cancelled massage. It doesn't seem fair that I would be charged if I cancelled, but I received no discount for a future message after being inconvenienced. I agree that life happens but my problem is the unfairness of your cancellation policy. Here is the text of the email you sent to me : "You have not been charged for this cancellation." I DIDN'T CANCEL. And there is no mention of a forgiveness policy in the paperwork I signed should I have needed it.
