This is a favorite for so many of us. This log ride in particular, goes fast in comparison to the one at Disneyland. The animatronics here are loggers...and they're kinda creepy looking which I never noticed until now. Seriously. Seats on this ride are tight. I mean tight. Kids will be fine but adults especially, if you're not petite, it is a squeeze. I have long legs, so they always kinda get stuck and I have to wiggle around to get comfortable. Anyways, the water is much cleaner than it ever was. It no longer has that distinct odor of dirty water rides at the park, making for a much better experience. If you're not one to go on a thrill ride, this has one big drop at the end, but it's doable. It'll definitely become a favorite for you too, so do yourself a favor and hop in.

Lots of waterfalls and mists and even "dynamite explosions" that send water up into the air next to you so get sprinkled on. Several mini drops, and a bigger one at the end for getting potentially wet again. Meanwhile as you float inside the mountain, you see animatronic loggers playing bajos, sawing wood, hanging out at base camp, and having a hootenanny alongside the log ride. Very enjoyable! It's fun to predict which of the 4 of you will get splashed the most at the start of the ride.

This one has all the ingredients of a great review…read more I took the plunge and rode Pixar Pal-A-Round... you know, that giant 120-foot Mickey Ferris wheel that you can see from practically everywhere in the park. I'd walked by it countless times, but I could never convince my wife or my son to ride it with me. Turns out... they may have known something I didn't. I figured, "How bad can a Ferris wheel be?" Famous last words. As I'm getting ready to board, there are babies crying and little kids looking nervous. That probably should've been my first clue. Then I thought I'd at least be riding with another group. Nope. Disney looked at me and said, "You're flying solo, buddy." The wheel slowly climbs higher and higher until you're staring over all of California Adventure. Beautiful views... for about five seconds. Then the swinging gondola reaches the top, rolls off the track, and suddenly launches forward and backward like it just remembered it had somewhere to be! I was hanging on for dear life. I came looking for a little thrill, but this thing scared the shit out of me. If my wife or son had been with me, I probably would've tried to make the gondola swing even harder just to mess with them but all alone? I was busy reevaluating every life decision that brought me to that seat. The ride itself was spotless, the Cast Members were friendly, and the atmosphere around the pier was awesome. It's definitely a classic Disney experience. Scare factor? On a scale of 1 to 10... scary as shit. Would I ride it again? Absolutely... right after I forget how terrified I was the first time. Just don't let the word "Ferris wheel" fool you. This thing has a personality

Our group walked through Main Street, Fantasyland and New Orleans Square. We were able to hear amazing stories about Walt's concept of the park, rides and expansions of the park. We also were able to hear hilarious family stories and nice little facts and stories about the park. Part of the experience were getting on a rides (without having to wait) and watching the Lincoln Story. It was incredible to be able to imagine the park through the eyes of the great Walt Disney. I traded up a few times during the three hour tour. I loved hearing the stories and looking at the part with these new lenses. What a great man with an amazing vision. I wonder what he would think of the park now! Visiting Walt's apartment was the perfect ending to the tour. I've been wanting to peek into this area for years. The tour ended with a yummy lunch from Jolly Holiday and we were gifted a beautiful pin. It was a great day and the most perfect tour. Even better that we got a nice discount when we signed up for the tour with our Annual Passports. Even though we just took this tour, I would do it again in a heartbeat!

The tour ends with one of two things depending on how big the group is. A visit to Walt's apartment above the fire station or lunch. The apartment is preserved basically how the Disney's left it with a few changes. There is also lunch included. A sandwich or salad, dessert, and a drink. There are other tours available. I want to do their Christmas tour. This year, it started on 10 November. I highly recommend this tour for anyone with any interest in Disneyland history. The tour is reasonably priced. If you have an annual pass or the Disney credit card, you do get a discount.

It's part of the resort's holiday celebrations and the Festival of Holidays. It's not a long traditional parade with large floats. It's a lot of Disney and Pixar characters that dance to holiday music, inviting guests to join in! The Mickey's Happy Holidays parade also has the Holiday Toy Drummers! If you get a chance, there is also a musical Toy Drummer section that is played throughout the day near the Little Mermaid Ride. It was like Rock n roll Holiday music! The cavalcade typically runs multiple times throughout the day. For the 2025 holiday season it was scheduled around 12:45 P.M, 2:30 P.M, and 4:30 P.M so guests have multiple opportunities to watch the show. You'll want to check the Disneyland mobile application though for the latest show times. It moves from Paradise Gardens Park toward Hollywood Land and Buena Vista Street. There are brief stops where characters perform dance routines. The highlight of the Mickey's Happy Holidays Parade is the cast of characters who appear! You'll see Mickey and Minnie leading the parade with others such as Goofy, Pluto, and Clarabelle. There are a rotating group of Pixar favorites like Woody, Jessie, Bo Peep, the Incredibles crew, and more. The experience was approximately six minutes long between stops, but it was fun.
