Great shop to buy beautiful art work. Especially great big beautiful paintings. Although they have a bit more than just canvas art. Items are definitely pricey but well worth them high prices. The Cast members are always friendly and ready to help.

This is located near the entrance of Disneyland just off to the right side as you enter the park. They sell a lot cool, interesting, and pricey art pieces and collectibles. From time to time, they'll have you come here to pick up free Magic Key holder items. They'll also sell items exclusive to Magic Key holders. I mainly come here either to get out of the heat, take a break from the crowds, or just to window shop.

I come here every once in a while to check out the art while one of my friends is using the restroom just down the way. It's been here forever and they have lots of paintings, sculptures, figurines etc. that are hard to find anywhere else. I don't even think the WonderGround Gallery in Downtown Disney carries this stuff. If you're a big spender and are looking for a Disney inspired piece to take home and hang on your wall or place on your mantle then you have to stop in here. Even if you're just a fan, it's nice to stop in and see what the current art looks like now because you notice things evolve over time (if you visit Disney over the years). If it's the end of the night and you're waiting for someone to finish their shopping on Main street, then head on in and check it out, it will help pass the time and help you feel magical about the day.

Disneyana is a wonderful store, especially if you like art work and sketches. It's located in Mainstreet at Disneyland, in the same building as The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. The store has a wide variety of Disney inspired pieces on display. The artists paint a wide variety of pieces from Peter Pan, Hercules, Mulan, Cinderella, Beauty & the beast and so much more. Some of the pieces reflect attractions within the theme park while other pieces of art may be special events or anniversary themed oriented around the park. The pieces within Disneyana change often. Sometimes, visiting Disneyana, you may even see a imagineer or artist inside. I can easily spend a hour inside Disneyana looking at all of the beautiful artwork.

Disneyana is one of the few places I like to browse (and more times than not purchase) the limited edition artwork, paintings and figurines. I have been in the store on more than a few occasions recently because of all the 50th Anniversary Haunted Mansion and all collectibles dedicated to my favorite ride in the park. Disneyana is a term for collectable items such as toys, books, animation cells, souvenirs and other items produced or licensed by The Walt Disney Company. Art Corner was the first retail store to sell Disneyana items inside the park from opening day until its closing in 1966. Disneyland opened the Disneyana shop in 1976 next to the Crystal Arcade on Main Street, U.S.A.. In 1986, Disneyana moved next to the Market House until Starbucks moved in during 2013 and expanded the Market House which required Disneyana ( https://bit.ly/2lkUH2P ) relocating to the old Bank of Main Street U.S.A. building next to the Opera House which houses Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln and the Disney Gallery. I feel it was a good decision by Disney to keep one of the old bank cages ( https://bit.ly/2nuYETj ) to use as a cashier counter and the vault ( https://bit.ly/2mZQZvT ) is used from time to time to display some of the more rare (and expensive) memorabilia for sale in the store. Our Disneyland collection mostly focuses on New Orleans Square and we have procured several collectable items ( https://bit.ly/2lZEVuE ) and pieces of limited edition art through our twenty years of being passholders. Rohlinism: If you do something for a long period of time, it eventually takes over part of your life... or part of your house! After the private event for the 50th Anniversary, the items which didn't sell became available to the general public and the better half had her eyes on the Madame Leota Headband Ears ( https://bit.ly/2m1wsad ) and Disneyana was the last store with these limited edition ears in stock. There is a good amount of items that is not collectable ( https://bit.ly/2nxHwwl ) or limited and therefore more reasonably priced (for Disney). For those interested in limited-edition fine art and paintings, you need to walk into the gallery ( https://bit.ly/2lkTrN9 ) which is currently home to several pieces ( https://bit.ly/2mUQOlP ) of art celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Haunted Mansion. Most of the art and figurines Disney have done for the Haunted Mansion have been reproductions of Ezra Beane, Gus and Professor Phineas Plump (collectively known as the Hitchhiking Ghosts), Constance Hatchaway (The Bride), Madame Leota and the Caretaker and his dog (semi-officially name Sirus Crump and Bones respectively). The Hat Box Ghost is another popular image for merchandising since 2009 when it appeared on several items for the 40th Anniversary of the Haunted Mansion. After being in the "void" for 46 years, the Hat Box Ghost "reappeared" in the Haunted Mansion in May of 2015 and its popularity has soared. For the 50th Anniversary, Disney decided to turn the spotlight on some of the lesser known haunts with Craig Fraser's Welcome Foolish Mortals ( https://bit.ly/2lZ2vaM ), including Victor Geist (The Organist) who is one of my favorite ghosts. Before we purchased our copy of Welcome Foolish Mortals, we actually looked at it three times, each time walking out through the Disney Gallery next door only to reenter Disneyana. Any cast member paying attention to us, probably thought we were either in some sort of weird time loop or we were both suffering from dementia. Passholders don't forget your discount when paying for your purchase and the cast member helping us put the painting into an easy to carry box and even offered to send the painting to "Will Call." We didn't need "Will Call" since we were leaving for the day, but it is nice to know it is available if we should need it in the future. In addition to the art work on display for the 50th Anniversary, the gallery has art from each of the lands in the park and from several Disney animated movies. During certain times of the day, a Disney artist ( https://bit.ly/2lQU4yv ) will be drawing or sketching in the gallery and on rare occasions a Disney Imagineer will drop in for a special signing or to ply his / her trade. For even more memorabilia and park concept renderings, you can visit the Disney Gallery which is connected to Disneyana, but don't fall in love with any of the items because none of them are for sale. I will never be an art aficionado (nor do I care to become one), but I will always be a fan of Disney artwork and will continue to browse Disneyana for the next item to add to our collection!

I love this shop. A true Disney collectors dream!!! Or if you want to "just browse" this is the perfect place to do it. The amount of artwork here is wonderful. Timeless classics and limited editions are all located under one roof. The staff was super helpful. They were able to locate a piece (the last one) way way WAY in the back.

I've never loved my paper clips more!!!

Great for those who are hard core Disney-ites. Not so much for kids, especially since there are many things which twinkle but are not for touching. The art is in the back corner and it changes on a decent go around. My favorite items are the light up miniatures and the mini collectables in the front of the store. I have a paperclip holder that looks like Mickey's pants and what I call a pill box but I'm not sure what else you'd put inside of them. They're uber cute, highly detailed and there's always a new one that I want to, need to have!

Disneyana and 20th Century Music Company are only a couple doors away from each other. They aren't the largest souvenir shops in the Disney resort, but they are a couple of the best if you're interested in Disney history. The items you can buy there can be found in other parts of the park, but these collections are my favorites because it's geared towards the historian in me. At the shops they sell CDs of the music you'll hear throughout the park. My little cousins aren't as into Disneyland as I am, but they have a blast when they hear Grim Grinning ghosts from the Haunted Mansion ride and they've memorized word for word all the lyrics to the Tiki Room. You can also find music from the other Disney theme parks from around the world and CDs of specials about Disneyland that you might have seen on the History Channel and other networks. They have simple books for little kids showing photos of some of the current rides and the retro attractions from back in the day. They also these gorgeous books on the animation of Disney. They have cels and tiny sculptures of Disney characters and princesses all over the place and this is the store to find really cool Nightmare Before Christmas ornaments outside of New Orleans Square during the holiday season. My favorite items are the tiny retro sculptures of the original Disney attractions and the Disney sign that used to stand at the entrance when I was a kid. They also have detailed sculptures of some of the rides, like the Jungle Cruise and the Haunted Mansion and it's a trip to see what the attraction would look like if you were looking from God's POV. Like I said, you can get some of this stuff around the park, but this is a fun collection of items if you care about Disney lore and want to bring some of that home.

Yes, most items can be bought at the downtown World of Disney store but I feel that the customer service is markedly better than elsewhere.

Recently, I came across them on a hunt for cute bag charms (thanks, Yelp Assistant) and I was blown away by the selection! In addition to tons of plushies, they have a whole wall of bag charms. I didn't find what I was looking for (something Disney and/or cherry-themed) but I found a cute charm for a friends birthday gift and the claw clips on the shelf below caught my eye because many of them were metal and large. Perfect for thick hair! The cashier confirmed this as well which made me feel confident and I can confirm they hold up with long, thick, hair. It seems like this place does a lot of limited drops so definitely get there early if you're looking for a trendy item. But, it wasn't too crowded when I went around 11am.

The only options were the Lunar New Year one. There was also a random softball plush. That was it, nothing else. No variety, no classics, no fan favorites. The selection was honestly disappointing. I drove out of my way for this. The display felt poorly stocked. It seemed careless and unprepared. Three stars only because the plushies were decent. I expected far more than this. .
