A MUST for those who love the art that goes into Disney. This is the place if you want to get prints, sketches (colored and rough), posters, collectibles, ornaments, sculptures, pins, figurines, and much more. A lot of what is sold here is original works too if you're interested in that kind of thing. You can also ask them to hold onto bigger items here to pick up later (had a friend do that for a particularly large snow globe), so keep that in mind. It's located as you walk down Hollywood Land and you can't miss it since the sign has all of the classic animated characters literally coming off of the page. You can watch artist doe their live sketching here as well. Friend also really liked that you can get Precious Moments Disney figures here (when we visited) and of course, the Thomas Kincade Disney artwork. Many of the prints come in various sizes as well and it's neat to rifle through the metal sliding curtain thing to view them. Off the Page is one of my favorite stores inside Disney's California Adventure. This is a art gallery where you can see Disney Characters from animated scenes. The artwork is just absolutely stunning! My mom and I spent easily 30 minutes inside Off the Page looking at all of the art, collectibles, and pins inside the store. There was also a Disney animator inside the studio drawing a Disney character. It was a lot of fun to watch! This store does have expensive artwork, however, there are some cheaper alternatives. My mom and I were looking at some of the Disney Collectible statues and several pieces ranged between $29.99 - $40.00. Magic Key Holder Discounts and Disney Vacation Club Discounts do apply at this store! I ended up purchasing a few pins from this location. This store is basically themed off Disney animation art. There's figures,sculptures, and so many awesome pieces of animation artwork available for purchase. Off the Page animation shop is CA adventure's novelty name to Wonderground gallery in downtown Disney-(reviewed separately). Inside is a vast array of Disney prints, books, and other souvenirs. They have two animator's desks set up and you can watch at least one of them in action if you happen to go there at the right time. You can also look through a book and have a special drawing or painting made just for you for a pretty pricy fee but they are great works. You would pay in advance and then come back at the designated pickup time. They do honor the Chase Disney Visa discount if you spend at least $50.00 or more in this shop. As I was browsing through the various prints I came across a beautiful 14 x18 of Winnie the Pooh surrounded by all his friends. I knew I had to have it for my best friend. The print had white matting around it. When I went to purchase it the lady asked me if I wanted it in bubble wrap to protect it or have it shipped.I declined thinking I could fit it in the front of my suitcase and that did work. Had it not, then I was told I could combine my purchases in a store in downtown Disney and have it sent from there. You can also purchase figurines, jewelry, watch bands, and trading pins here. My girlfriend was thrilled to get this print since she had never seen anything like it before. This is a great shop if you love the art of animation since it is at the exit of the Animation Academy. I love artsy things. I really appreciate that Disney provides us opportunities to expose ourselves to fine art and collectibles. There is a gallery in Downtown Disney, a gallery in on Main Street in Disneyland, and this gallery in DCA. On display and for purchase there are beautiful paintings, drawings and other miscellaneous pieces of art and collectibles. The items available in this store varies in prices so there is an appeal to many different individuals. There are two areas in the store where artist cast members are drawing. If you are fortunate to be present when the individuals are there, it's really interesting to watch them drawing and creating. These drawings are available for purchase at reasonable prices. There is a wide variety of art from different movies and shows. It's really amazing how artistic and creative people are. If the art you want is not available on the walls, there is a touch screen area where you can see what is available in general and you can order a piece if you find what you want there. Aside from the paintings and drawings, there are large figurine pieces to choose from as well. There are also jewelry options and watches in the store. There is some memorabilia to choose from. If you are thinking of a smaller purchase, there is also books, movies and pins to purchase as well. While waiting for my friends to get into Disney California Adventure for our Tasting Event (A Touch of Disney), I decided to check out Off the Page. Off the Page is located in Hollywood Land across from Award Wieners. Whether you're an artsy person or not, Off the Page is worth checking out. COVID-19 Safety Procedures: Staffers wore facial masks, hand sanitizers are available and social distancing practiced. There is a good amount of people inside, but everyone kept their 6ft social distancing and masks on. There is an art gallery inside showcasing beautiful paintings, drawings, limited edition prints and/or collectibles, both on display and for purchasing. At the very back, there is a touch screen area that you check out to see what other drawings and paintings are available for purchase. On either side of the store, there are two drawing stations where you can see Disney artists sketching our their creations. However, due to COVID-19 and Disney being shutdown for over a year, the two drawing stations were closed. If not, it would have been interesting to see their sketches. Of course, there are tons of Disney and Precious Moments figurines to also check out and purchase too! Along with various Disney souvenirs and memorabilia, assorted charms, keychains, Christmas ornaments, jewelry, puzzles, books, movies and pins. There's even a Disney pressed penny collector machine inside (to your left) if you're into that as well. My eyes were immediately drawn to Beauty and the Beast's Rose Snow Global...but at $70, it's just beautiful admiring it as well, lol! Service: I didn't interact with the staff very much, but I was greeted upon entrance and after leaving the store. This little gallery, located in Hollywood Land, has some really wonderful animation. Since my son loves art, Off the Page was an unexpected surprise on our last visit to Disney California Adventure. This store has beautiful collectible figurines of some of Disney's most popular characters, limited edition prints, and a small selection of souvenirs. Off the Page also has puzzles, apparel, books, jewelry, and mugs. There are also some cute Precious Moments and Disney Vinylmation figurines. They have a large collection of unique art work including figures, display/ornamental pieces and even framed pieces from limited release collections. After 4 weeks I did not receive it and called number for the dealer who was supposed to send it. They told me my painting was not ordered. Said to call off the page. I called and it said all operators are busy, send email. I sent an email. Received email Said someone would get back to me. No one got back to me. 3 days I called the number same message all operators are busy. Fourth day, I called got through and was on hold for over 30 minutes and hung up. Tried later, same thing on hold over 30 minutes. I called my credit card company and they reimbursed me. They are doing investigation and sent letter to off the page. I received an email two weeks later no response from off the page. They are rip offs. Do not use this company. read more

They usually have an artist here that does sketches on the spot. I'd come here to watch some sketching or buy sketches. SERVICE: When I came here, two DLand staff members helped me and both were super. Patrick - he was the artist when i visited. Although he was sketching at the time, he took the time to talk about their sketch program. He appeared to have his hands full with work but I also saw him take a break from his current job to handle a request from a customer that had just dropped by. Jordan - she assisted me when I was looking for a sketch. Jordan went out of her way to see if my request could be made possible. First time visiting California Adventure and this shop. Love the unique items as I am one who likes things you can't find at every chain store. The cast member Lace who helped us was very friendly. We purchased a large and in my opinion expensive Nightmare Before Christmas figurine. I saw only the display model on the shelf and she was very quick to check the back of the store for another one. Luckily for us there was one more available. She opened the box and thoroughly inspected the item for any damage. She then carefully put it back in the box and sealed it. Was very grateful they were able to hold the item there for the day while we enjoyed the park as the box was very big. From my experience here I would highly recommend this shop if you are visiting California Adventure. read more

The art of Disney. You can come here and watch artists draw sketches from your favorite movies, buy a painting, a book or even some pins! I come here mostly for a set of pins I'm collecting, and OTP always has them in stock (^_^), so I'm here at least 3-4 times a month trying to find the rest of the pins haha. Keep in mind, if you do go for the pins, they don't have as large of a selection as some of the main shops. But regardless, a great selection! Whether you come here for the artwork, or stumble upon it by walking out of the wrong exit for the Animation Academy, it's a great find. The artwork displayed on the wall is so much fun. The displays slide left and right, revealing more canvases! I believe there are approximately 4 walls to view? My favorites are the Beauty and the Beast ones on the 2nd interior wall (^_^)! They have carved and painted wooden figurines by Jim Shore ("Disney Traditions" by Jim Shore), mostly they have the princesses, but on my visit last week, they had the villains(Maleficent, The Evil Queen, Mother Gothel, etc) too! These are absolutely adorable, and beautifully painted. One day, I'll own them all. For now, just 2 (^_~). They also have canvas, post card, and matted prints of most of the paintings (usually they'll be located right next to the canvases if available). They also carry books (coloring books, Hidden Mickey Adventures, sketchbooks with art from your favorites, and so on), as well as a special line of cell phone cases that are on the more high end of the price range (are you shocked? It's Disney!) Mostly they're for iPhones, but they have a few Android options available (very few, Disney is apparently an Apple fan), with a price range of about $50 a case. Annual pass does work here, so take advantage of your discount. I enjoy the fact that I can walk in, and just watch an artist go to town on a sketch. And if you want, you can buy it as soon as they're done! Prices on the sketches varies I believe, but man are they pretty! The tables the artists use are pretty cool too! I'd probably buy one of I was an artist haha. But I'm not, so for now, I'll just watch the pros (^_^) 4 stars for OTP because it can get very crowded when it's busy as people flow in from the park, as well as from the Academy. So inflow from two different directions.. it gets a little crazy! Other then that, I LOVE this store. Definitely check it out next time your at California Adventure! read more

I'm so irritated at this store. I would think Disney would have the best customer service. Mind you they were not busy and a customer was already being helped on the register. I asked a gentleman if they had a bigger size and he had said no whatever they had out was all they had. So I asked if he could locate a store or can tell me which store would have it. He looked irritated, took the dress and went to the back. Came back maybe 2-3 min later and said no they didn't have it and that they were the only store who had it. Im frustrated and upset at this service because I went to another store to ask if they can locate an item that wasn't available for me and they said yes, just as long as the item was sold in their store they can locate where it is available. In June 1995, I began a summer internship at Buena Vista Pictures Distribution. Among the highlights was sitting in a big screening room with BVPD president Dick Cook, watching a storyboard version of the opening 15 minutes of Toy Story, set to be released later that year. The voice talents of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen were there, but the rough pencil sketch stills of the film did not even begin to prepare me for the amazing Pixar animation that was to come, followed by so many amazing films. I think of that moment every time I venture into this place at CA. The incredible collective talent of a century of Disney artists, storytellers, dreamers is here to behold. From lowly in-betweeners to concept artists, to timeless works of unforgettable characters, Off the Page has something for everyone to enjoy and connect with the Disney art legacy. Print art, figurines, frames, and custom ordering are all available here. As you might imagine, authentic Disney art isn't cheap, and this store exemplifies that "synergy" in its pricing model... But even if you just walk through the store, you get a sense of the universal appeal of the collected Disney body of work. If you're pushing the double wide Orbit twin stroller, probably best to leave the littluns outside for this one, or at least pick them up and give them a short-leash guided tour. You definitely don't want to pay for a Magical Day mishap here. Speaking of which, crashing jet skis in Florida and playing hookey at Disney World during my summer internship sealed my unconditional release from Disney employ at the end of summer, but the memories remain of one of the best jobs I ever had, as does the wonder of what might have been had I not embodied a tag line from another 1995 summer movie, Apollo 13... IMHO, Disneyland does a great job at making their in-resort shops feel different from one another; that is to say, you won't find the same items/atmosphere in each store. Keeps you hungry for more shit, ya know? Some are princess-y, some western, some toonish or ears/hats centric or even wall to wall Christmas ornaments. (In New Orleans Square: L'Magique Ornement. Love that one.) THIS place is more adult-oriented, fancier. Classy, I daresay? Lots of art (paintings, posters, sketches) , glass figurines, pins, those weird Vinylmotion collectible things (I don't get em)... basically, more mature tschotskies. VERDICT: Totes GO. Stop in, take a look around. Nice respite from the crowds and kid crap. One of my favorite places to shop/browse when I'm in California Adventure. Let's say that you've just eaten a full meal, and you know you shouldn't go on any rides. Or maybe you need to dry off from the Grizzly Run. Or you need to get away from screaming crowds and need a place to immerse yourself in the brilliant art of Disney. Then come on over here =) You can see the usual ear hats, pins, and decor that you can buy at most of the other gift shops, but the thing that makes this special is the art that you'll find in the back. There will be an artist (most of the time) that will be sketching out their pre-approved sketches that you can purchase. There will be sketches on sale that you can purchase, and there are awesome artwork on rolling walls that you can view and purchase. And, Disney doesn't skimp on talent; there are a huge variety of artwork you'll see, all as awesome as the last. In terms of prices, it's not too bad. Disneyland will always be a bit pricey, but some of their stuff is hard to find and you typically can only get it from Disneyland or California Adventure. Besides, they never force you to buy it; it's completely up to you if you want to purchase something nice for the house... And another thing I love about this place? One of the most visually appealing stores in California Adventure, Off the Page gives the appearance of an animation studio come to life. You won't find any generic Mickey Mouse t-shirts or hats in this store. It is all artistic themed merchandise, offering everything from poster prints to figurines and collectibles. This is a prime location for purchasing and even trading Vinylmation figures, which are Mickey shaped figurines that have been customized into individual works of art. What once looked like Mickey can now be Kermit the Frog, Jack Skellington, and even rides or other Disney themed works. They come in a blind box so if you are not satisfied with the one you get, just ask the cast member to trade with one of the available ones in the box near the register. Beware, Vinylmation trading is highly addictive. My advice is to only venture past the Vinylmation section if you have some serious willpower. read more

It's the classier type of Disney store. The type that if you bring your kids, you pray to whatever god you claim they don't break something. You have far more adult like disney crap to choose from. Coffee mugs that have all the characters look like they just woke up from a Saturday night partying with Cheaptimes and I. To vintage looking posters, status and what not. Even conductor mickey mouse hats. So hey, if you want to board a train and act like you're some engineer, by all means. It's attached to the animation studio thing and it serves as the exist. Which is really smart in the Mouse House Marketing standpoint, as after you go in there, most of this stuff will just compliment your every want and desire. They have whatever the latest in mad crazy collecting of Disney crap is at the time. I believe it's currently those Vinyl toys. But hey, they got them as well as some collectors pins that are so precious they have to put them behind glass. If there's a shag designed print, it'll be in this store. Currently they have a lot of cars prints and other neat artist lithos of the film. Which is pretty neat, but again, this place is going to hit the wallet where it counts. I've been here many times, but Sunday, July 15th, 2012 will go down in the books as the day I became a hardcore Disney fan for life, all because of this store. This shop is all about the art of Disney and collectables, including books, fine art prints, figurines/statuettes, hand drawn characters. A great place to take a few moments and really soak in some of the great artistry that has helped to build this empire. I really want to commend two of the cast members here (Disney's name for it's employees in the parks), Arik and Cassie (artist). First off, they were both incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Cassie is one of the artists who hand draws characters which are available for purchase. She answered all my questions while busy doing a piece for another customer. Both Arik and Cassie engaged me in witty banter and jokes for a solid 20 minutes. I was going through the book they have with the characters available to be sketched and I really felt like these two were people I wanted to be friends with and not two customer service reps. I was having a tough time picking which character I wanted sketched. In the end, I wasn't sure if I would really purchase one, because it was rather pricey ($35 for one character with only two color accents). I've always wanted one, however. As I was about to leave, Cassie told me she was giving me a Magic Moment. A Magic Moment is a well known Disney secret amongst us D-lovers. A cast member can work some of their magic and do anything from comping a hotel room to having your favorite character meet with you if they so choose. It's not a hard and fast rule, you never known when or where it might happen, if at all. Cassie and Arik gave me my Magic Moment by presenting me with one of the pre drawn pictures I had wanted as a gift. I've heard of MM, but I'd never gotten one and I was overcome with emotion--gratitude, happiness, magic. I really felt like there was magic in the air. I cried a little and hugged them both. I don't know if they will ever see this, but it made my day as well as made this the best trip to Disneyland/CA yet. read more

Guess what...my hubby got home from work all stressed, I was stressed as well with the way the stock market closed today. What did we do? We went to the 'happiest place on earth', Disneyland! Being a (Veggie) Monday & need to do some exercise...we were able to do both at the park. We walked around California Adventure then hopped over to Disneyland after eating dinner. We had dinner inside California Adventure's Pacific Wharf Cafe, never been to this Cafe. I had ordered the Vegetarian Chili (Sourdough) Bowl. While my hubby walked across the Cafe & ordered Asian food (I think like a Tofu Teriyaki?) I like sourdough breads...BUT I only eat the inside (the soft part) and pass the crust to my hubby (he loves the crust). That was very filling! We had to walk it off again...HA! :) What I also like about this place...you show your Annual Pass in their Cafe & you get a discount! (You need that additional discount as the bottle of water costs more than the milk). read more

This is really a beautiful establishment with high ceilings to house tall screens that you can roll back and forth to find more screens covered in Disney art. During the holidays, there was a guy just sitting off to the side etching crystal. And on the other side of the room is usually an animator doodling away at a magnificent desk. There is some seriously cool art in this place and I actually find myself talking myself out of entering. I do usually wind up buying a book for the child, but I gaze lovingly on the statutes and see the wonderous detail really close up (they have low cases peppered throughout the shop that I can get real close to). A great place to get collectibles and memorabilia about Disney's artistic side. There's a nice selection of books, including more technical journals regarding the Imagineering side of Disneyland and DCA. If you want something more artistic than plushies, spend a while in here and watch the sketch artist at work. read more

I was introduced to this little nook and cranny last year and since then I fell in love with this place. I honestly didn't know this place existed well beyond the store to say the least, it definitely is a nice touch. I always come here to take a break and just relax with all my favorite songs playing in the bkg .. if only I can have something similar to this in my future home. Man that'd be awesome. Onto the storefront, they have amazing artwork and paintings, which is a bit out of my price range but I'd love to purchase a couple one day. They also have a section of vinylmations, glass figurines, and a section for the artist to sketch something neat. I miss this place already .. wish I was there. read more

Great store to pick up Disney figures and statues. More of the high end collectable stuff. But if you are going to stop by Downtown Disney it might be better to pick up stuff there instead so you aren't carrying stuff in the park. read more

Off the Page is basically California Adventure's Disneyana. It's a more upscale souvenir shop with the focus more on art, figurines, and home decor items than toys and other kiddie items. It's a nice store with nice employees and nice items.... I ran out of other adjectives. read more

This is one of the few locations left within the parks for trading vinylmations. In addition they have some pretty classic merchandise here. Lots of classy photo frames and other fun take-homes for the Disney lovers. read more
