It's very hard leaving your baby in the care of others, but I trust the staff of Childtime of Duluth and do recommend them. I started my son here when he was between 3 months old, and at that time I brought bottles of pumped milk. As he got older and I needed to supplement with formula, they provided the formula I wanted to use, as well as any baby food he started to like. The bottles always come back rinsed out. The room is clean and well maintained. I love the fact that they provide blue booties for parents and staff to wear in the infant room since the infants are always moving around on the floor. The building is safe and clean, too. I always see the maintenance crew in the lobby in the morning when I drop him off. This is very affordable care for the quality. I can tell my son is happy and thriving - he is very excited to be dropped off in the morning. He comes home knowing so happy. I also love to see the infants crawling and socializing with each other! So cute!! If you are looking for care in this area, give Childtime of Duluth a try - you will be pleased.

As of April/May 2026, I would not recommend this daycare to anyone…read more Before I even toured the school, I called to ask about pricing. Nia, the assistant director, gave me incorrect pricing information not once, but twice. She also told me that the enrollment fee would be waived. Because she had already given me inaccurate information earlier that week, I specifically asked if she was sure, and she confirmed that she was. When I received my first bill, it was a little under $500, which immediately confused me because there was supposed to be a $250 discount applied to the first week. I asked the director, Renee Milton, why the bill was still so high after the discount. She told me it was because the enrollment fee had been added. I explained that Nia had told me the enrollment fee would be waived. Considering the multiple pricing errors beforehand, I felt some type of accommodation should have been made. Nia clearly needs additional training, and the communication between management is poor. Now onto the director, Renee Milton. She was extremely unprofessional throughout my experience there. One morning while dropping my children off, a teacher was running late. Renee said to me and another parent, "If it was up to me, I would get completely new staff." We were both visibly confused. As a parent, that is not something you want to hear from the person running the daycare your children attend. A few days later, I saw my oldest child doing something inappropriate on the camera system, so I called the school to address it and speak with my child. Later that evening, Renee brought up the situation and I mentioned that I like to monitor my child's behavior. She then responded, "You need to watch the cameras for these teachers as well." Again, I found this incredibly unprofessional. Regardless of how management feels about staff internally, those conversations should never be had with parents. The final issue involved my account balance. Earlier that week, I spoke with Renee over the phone and explained that I would pay the balance on Friday. She agreed that it was fine. Then, a day or two later, she messaged me through the parent portal reminding me to pay before drop-off, and I responded confirming that I would. Friday morning, I paid the balance before bringing my children in. While dropping them off, one of the teachers told me, "Renee said you can't drop off your child unless you pay your balance." I was absolutely upset. First, because I had already communicated with Renee multiple times about the payment. Second, because no teacher should have access to or be discussing my personal billing information with me. When I addressed it with Renee, she seemed more concerned about finding out who told me than understanding why the situation was inappropriate in the first place. At that moment, I decided my children would no longer attend this daycare. This was honestly one of the worst daycare experiences I have had. Renee and Nia are the main reason I would never recommend this school. It is hard to feel comfortable leaving your children somewhere when the director openly speaks negatively about staff members to parents. That being said, I do want to acknowledge the teachers who were wonderful to my children. Ms. Smiley was amazing, and honestly one of the main reasons I stayed as long as I did. Ms. Houda (I may be spelling her name incorrectly) was also wonderful with my 4-year-old and treated her with so much kindness and encouragement. Ms. Rochelle was incredibly sweet as well, and I truly believe she cared about my children. Those three teachers deserve recognition because they were the bright spots in an otherwise disappointing experience. The school has potential, but the current leadership is what will continue to hurt it.

I was charged 3 times by an accident !!!the day care asked me if I wanted to let them keep the payment and they can just apply it to my daughters account, I denied and requested my funds back. just a side note this was the week after Christmas and the week rent was due. I drop my daughter off that Monday and when I picked my daughter up at 6:00pm I asked them if I could pay them on Wednesday when I get paid due To my money getting mishandled and getting charged 3 times. i also went on to add that I was a single parent doing this on my own so a hiccup on charging me 3 times by a accident is a huge deal! After talking with ms Shakira she informed me that it would be fine for me to send payment on Wednesday morning and I can continue to bring my daughter so I can work. I get a call from the same teacher on Tuesday morning at 7:00am stating that I can't bring my daughter in until they receive payment ! This was horrible for many reasons 1) I got informed of this at 7:00am I work at 8:30 this daycare opens at 6:00am I talked with ms Shakira at 6:00pm that previous day, if I couldn't bring my daughter in she should of let me know when I had that conversation with her.instead she gave me reassurance that it was okay for me to pay on Wednesday. the way this was handled was completely unethical and caused me to miss a day of work. if i was informed of this the night before when i had the conversation it would of been totally fine I understand it's a business and it needs to operate in a way that works for them. But the fact that I was told it was okay and then the next morning I get a last minute call saying I can't bring my daughter in until I pay was really inconvenient and display a manner on not having any morals

She explained that they have dealt with this type of situation before she asked that I send his IEP which I promptly sent within a couple business days. They then contacted me for a tour two days later . After taking time off to tour the facility and speaking with them several times. I received an email from Brittany stating that may not be able to accommodate my son. I called the next business day and Brittany basically stated that they could not accommodate my son after the director reviewed the IEP in detail. Honestly, it felt like they were passing bias on my child .I called and complained to the Director ( Ms. Chaz) about my experience as they could have told me this prior to wasting my time doing a tour (as they'd been sent the IEP prior) and stringing me along for nearly two weeks. It also put me in a position where I had to scramble to find alternative childcare. Ms. Chaz did state that they would be able to offer a 30 day trial and that I should have been offered this ( I was not offered this by Brittany ) . However, at that point, the experience turned me completely off and I decided not to place my child there . I am writing this review because people need to know about my experience and the stress it caused. I also hope that they will learn from this situation and treat future perspective parents better in the future as well as be more respectful to parents time . I could have made a bigger fuss as daycares are required to accommodate kid with special needs according to the ADA .

Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience…read more We enrolled our child in this school based on very specific promises: a low student-to-teacher ratio (two teachers for every ten students), qualified early childhood educators, consistent staffing, freshly prepared meals and snacks, and support with developmental milestones such as potty training. Unfortunately, none of these promises have been fulfilled. Staffing has been a constant issue. The promised ratio is routinely ignored, and there is rarely any consistency in caregivers. Teachers rotate constantly, and on several occasions the individuals filling in were not teachers at all, but maintenance or housekeeping staff. When asked directly, several attendants confirmed they do not have early childhood development credentials. This level of turnover and lack of qualification is deeply concerning. While I have met some team members who are caring and well-intentioned, positive attitudes cannot compensate for systemic issues and unmet commitments. At the cost charged, parents deserve reliability and transparency, and sadly this school has not delivered that. For this reason, I no longer feel comfortable entrusting my child's care here. Despite several months of attendance, there has been no observable progress in learning or potty training. There is no structure, curriculum, or evidence of intentional teaching. The food offering was another major misrepresentation. We were told meals and snacks would be freshly prepared; instead, children are regularly served prepackaged food. Cleanliness and supervision are the most alarming aspects. The facility often smells strongly of feces. On multiple occasions, we entered classrooms to find babies crying and clearly in need of diaper changes, with no staff attending to them. In one particularly disturbing instance, a soiled diaper appeared to have been left over an entire weekend, resulting in an overpowering odor. During the second week of January, I formally communicated my deep disappointment and my intention to remove my son from the school effective in February. I was informed that a 30-day notice was required. Even so, the concerns that led to this decision were never addressed or corrected. When enrolling my son in a new school and explaining our negative experience and clear expectations for quality and care, the very first question we were asked was: "Is it Crème de la Crème?" That alone speaks volumes. Crème de la Crème's reputation precedes them, and it is clear that we are not the only parents who have reached this conclusion. Other parents have already made the decision to remove their children from the school. This school is expensive, and parents are sold a vision of high-quality care, professionalism, and nurturing attention. What we experienced was the opposite: chronic understaffing, unqualified caregivers, serious hygiene deficiencies, and completely unmet developmental needs. I truly wanted this school to work. Instead, it has become an extremely costly disappointment, and I strongly urge other parents to thoroughly research and ask very specific questions before enrolling their children.

I have not received my deposit, which has been owed to me since August. The daycare has cited bankruptcy as the reason, but since then there has been little to no communication, no updates on the status of my funds, and I have essentially been ignored whenever I follow up. After doing some research, I learned that I am not the only one affected. Other families have also not received their deposits, and there are even teachers who have not been paid. This raises serious concerns about how the situation has been handled. It is incredibly frustrating and disheartening to be treated this way after years of loyalty and reliability. If you are considering enrolling your child here, proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against trusting your money--or your peace of mind--with a business that is clearly struggling and failing to communicate or take responsibility. It turns out that it's hard to be objective about the place your child spends most of his day. If…read moreyou hate the place, then hopefully you've taken your child out of it -- if you love the place, then your child stays. There's really no middle ground to it. I love this place. After months of searching through various day care places we put this place at the top and signed up for the waiting list. Within a few months they found a spot for our kid in a group that was slightly older than we felt he should have been in - but they reassured us that they'd monitor his adjustment and if it didn't work out they'd bump him down to the lower group. Fortunately the kid adjusted well to the older group and two years later he's still thriving at Hudgens. One of the primary reasons we chose Hudgens is because it's a 'teaching' daycare facility. Being attached to the Gwinnett Tech college they serve as a model for students taking early education and child development courses. To be clear - they have to maintain the same non-student teachers/caretakers that any other daycare has to maintain BUT they also have additional staff in the form of students in a learning environment. So every 3 or 4 months I see some of the aux caretakers change out but my kid's core teachers always stay the same. This is good because a kid like mine craves consistency - over the three years of classes he's been in there has only been one incident where we felt the turnover was becoming an issue (main teacher went on maternity leave and subs moved in and out fairly regularly) - we mentioned something to the management and they addressed the issue. Another plus - they listen to parent input. A side benefit of being at Hudgens is the access to state-provided pre-k when your child gets a little older - the kids who are already there get first pick of the limited lottery funded seats. Year in and out, through three sets of teachers - our child has grown at Hudgens. He has always been cared for and we've never questioned our decision to have them care for him during the day. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

This was the second child care facility that my daughter attended. She was between 12 months and…read more18 months when she was here. I would say that we were naive in selecting a child care facility. Hudgens was very affordable and in a convenient location at the time. Also, they are a teaching facility and teach child care development to others. So we thought what a great place. My daughter was only here a couple of months before the management began suggesting occupational therapy for our daughter. They had diagnosed my daughter with autism. Being that they teach early child development, we took their opinion seriously. We brought this to the attention of our pediatrician. Our pediatrician could not disagree more. She claimed that our daughter was fine developmentally and behaviorally. She warned us that treating a child as if they have autism at such an early age could eventually cause behavior similar to autism and recommend that we remove our child from Hudgens. In summary, she basically suggested that Hudgens was probably having a difficult time with my daughter because she did not conform to the expectations and the use of occupational therapy would acclimate her to the style of Hudgens. Our pediatrican suggested the reason why our daughter was not conforming to the Hudgens style was because she was likely more advanced than what Hudgens expected. We approached Hudgens with our pediatricians opinions and they basically said that they knew better than the pediatrican and were collectively more experienced. However, they agreed to place my daughter into an older class to see how she would do. She actually did better, but it was about a month later that they again approached us about occupational therapy. At this point, we took our pediatricians advice and left Hudgens. We would try out a few more daycares before ending up at Peachtree Park Prep. Hudgens was a learning experience for us as new parents. I would never send any other children here and I would not recommend it to anyone. My daughter is now 6 years old and does not have autism. At PPP, the children were all very much like her. At Hudgens, it was clear that she was different. In hindsight, it is clear that my daughter wasn't a good fit for Hudgens and the teachers did not know what to do with her because she developed faster than the other children. Its a pity that they instead thought she was autistic. Now having said that, it isn't like my daughter was some kind of prodigy or savant. Hudgens just isn't very good at helping children to excel. It is a teaching facility and that is their priority, education of the staff not the children.
