The teachers here are extremely easy to talk to and they are truly loving and caring towards the chidren! We love Mrs. Heeter and Mrs. Edward! Two years ago, we chose Childtime of Lilburn after touring several options in the Lilburn/Lawrenceville area. We based our decision on location and the recommendation of some local families. Here are some key issues: -High turnover, even by daycare standards: We had two kids who respectively moved from the toddler room through preschool and from preschool through Pre-K. The classrooms were a revolving door of teachers, which culminated in both Pre-K teachers (a lead teacher and support teacher) leaving in the middle of the 2025-2026 school year. Turnover created instability in the classrooms and disrupted learning. -Teacher quality: While we had some staff members who were truly caring and dedicated, we saw an overall decline in teacher quality during our two years at Childtime. We saw good teachers take initiative and attain additional early childhood credentials, only to not be retained when they sought better compensation. It was frustrating to see good teachers leave and be replaced by people who were inattentive and unengaging. -Lack of structure: Related to the previous point, diminished teacher quality led to poor classroom management. There was inconsistency in activities and schedules, and poor transitions to and from nap time. With lack of structure and boredom, we saw classrooms trend toward becoming more and more chaotic, which was an environment that was challenging for both of our children (our older child who was in Pre-K and our younger child who had transitioned to preschool as a 3 y/o). If your child does not do well with lack of structure and boredom then they might struggle at Childtime. Do not expect teachers and leadership to work collaboratively with you to support your child if they are struggling at Childtime. -Questionable inclusivity: While we did not perceive racial or ethnic bias and found the staff to be quite diverse, we did sense an underlying culture that was not supportive of nontraditional self-expression. If your child expresses themselves differently this may not be an environment where they feel protected from bullying and supported by the school. Why 2 stars and not 1 star? 1 star felt like it would be dismissive of the hard work and dedication of the good teachers we had at Childtime. It's too bad that many of them have left. We regret not leaving sooner. *Suggestions* 1. Monitor cameras: -the livestream (included in the price rather than being an add-on like at some other providers) is certainly an advantage, but do not assume that because the livestream exists that staff are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Check in at different times of day and call the front desk if you see that your child's class has become chaotic or notice other issues. 2. Check the Georgia DECAL inspection reports: The Georgia Dept of Early Care and Learning maintains a quality rating system of daycare providers (Childtime of Lilburn has 1 out of 3 stars; they are listed as Childtime Childcare #1102) and publish licensing and incident inspection reports. It would be wise to check the portal periodically and see what issues are arising, as these reports are not directly disclosed to families by Childtime. 3. Trust your instincts: If you notice red flags, bring them up to teachers and leadership. If you feel they are not being adequately addressed, leave.

The staff is loving and kind - they genuinely care about every single child that attends. They know everyone by name and they are always there to help with anything parents may need help with in the complicated process of raising little ones. My son and my daughter have loved this place like a family - and as my son is approaching the end of pre-K at the end of this school year, we genuinely feel like it will be a loss for us as a family not having that same daily connection here. I know that they will for sure return every summer though! It's hard to find a place that is so wonderful - they focus on learning and character building - preparing for the next stage in their lives - but the kids genuinely love going as well. I can't say enough good things about this entire place - I never worry if my kids are happy and are exactly where they should be. This is a special place.

This is a very long, honest and detailed review…read more My kids went to this daycare from June 2016 thru July 2018. I loved this daycare initially and recommended it to everyone. Around July 2017 the daycare came under new ownership and from that point on I had nothing but issues. The new owners care nothing for your child's well being and only care about money. There were always pay issues. There was rarely a time when my billing was correct and I would have to tell the staff multiple times to correct the issue. I was constantly overcharged. They overcharged me once by $2.50 and had the nerve to charge me a late fee on top of it when I didn't pay the incorrect balance. They fired their cook (I guess to save money) and started feeding the kids junk food. I walked in one morning and they were feeding the kids pop tarts and applesauce for breakfast. That is not breakfast. That is sugar. When I asked about it I was told the cook was on "vacation" (a vacation she never returned from) and that pop tarts were in fact a menu item. I'm not paying y'all over 2 grand a month for pop tarts. The turnover rate w teachers was very high and many of the teachers had no business being in childcare. They were only there for a check. I saw issues on the cameras that I brought up to the owner and he basically brushed me off and refused to show me the cameras. All of the original teachers from when my children started were fired and the new teachers were trash. No one lasted more than a few months because the teachers didn't like the owners. My daughter's class had 3 teachers but somehow everyday when I arrived at the daycare her face was dirty and her diaper needed to be changed. After the children woke up from nap time, the teachers wouldn't change them anymore for the day. They would just turn the iPads to YouTube videos and sit the children in front of it until the parents came to pick them up. They care nothing about your child's health. My son was bit 43 times by fire ants at the daycare and the daycare showed no remorse or care and didn't bother w getting the yard treated. I told them my son was severely allergic to fire ants and gave them his epipen and the owner told me he needed to "double check" if fire ant allergies were real . My son ended up having another episode where he was bit due to them not treating their yard but no one from the daycare informed me that my son was bit by fire ants that he's know to be ALLERGIC TO. When I brought it up to the owner she stared at me. They never even wrote an incident report. My child was bitten by another child multiple times and they never sent an incident report about that either. My son even told the owner himself that the child bit him. And the owner ignored him not realizing I was watching. When I asked him about it he said he was unsure of what my son was saying. I told him my son was holding his arm and saying "he bit me". It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Every issue I had w the daycare I brought up w he front desk and the owners personally and I never felt that my concerns were taken seriously. I started looking for a new daycare for my children a few months before actually removing them but was unable to thoroughly vet centers after this horrific experience due to my school and work schedule but I am thankful now to have found a center that I can trust and feel more comfortable leaving my children. I initially loved this daycare and had hopes that things would turn around but unfortunately they never did. The positives to this daycare were it's location, size, the fact that it is a lot newer than other centers and the camera access. However, until there are owners and staff in place that care about your children and can be trusted this place should be avoided at all costs.
