Destiny Starr does NOT deliver what they promise:
-The first week our child attended she was sent home with a high fever. When confronted about the possible spread of sickness in the daycare, the front office manager claimed it was only allergies. When another sickness seemed to spread a few weeks later, she was again confronted by multiple parents. The parents were getting severe upper respiratory infections, the children were getting upper respiratory and ear infections (3 families that we talked to confirmed this).
-The dull lighting in the rooms helps to cover the dirt buildup on the floors and under the rugs.
-Our child's pants came home with bleach stains
-her clothing was lost repeatedly
-sippy cups-with her name on them, were lost repeatedly
-daily report sheets were inconsistent and rarely accurate.
-They tried to convert over to using a phone app to report daily activities, diaper changes, and meals. However, this app was rarely used, nor updated and was stopped after a few short weeks of use.
-High turnover of staff
When addressing our issues with the owner, she attempted to care and asked us to give her 2 weeks to resolve our issues and nothing was ever done. We attended this facility for 3 months and our child had 5 to 6 different teachers in that short span of time. Many days when we would pick her up, the infant teacher would be the only teacher watching both the infants and the 1 year old class-not good. We feel the owner does want to have a good facility and wants to do better, but something needs to change in order to make this daycare improve or else they will be out of business.
This was a bad experience for us and we wanted other parents to hear our experience with the day care because we did our research and saw no bad comments for this facility, which was far from the truth. read more
