My tire light came on so I drove to my favorite Discount Tire location, the one in Vista. It shares a parking lot with Home Depot, so there is plenty of room. Also if I need a repair, I can walk to the Depot and have something to do while the work is being performed. I recommend calling in advance to book an appointment for the tire rotation so you don't have to wait too long. They said an hour, but only took 30 mins. Came in Thanksgiving week for new tires, they said they could probably do alignment given its a volkswagon with 2hr estimate They kept my car for 5 hrs and at 5pm told me they couldnt do the alignment, even though thats why i picked this shop to buy the tires from (since their website and manager told me they do alignment). I needed to drive the following day for Thanksgiving so it would have been nice to know they couldnt do alignment as i wouldn't have purchased tires from them. They responded with rudeness when i called them out for having a sign that says they cant do VWs, and lying to me to sell me tires. Really scummy behavior on their part and the manager was nothing but rude in return. Fast forward 1 month one of the tires blew out (diff branch botched the repair), and these guys were entirely unhelpful getting it fixed. Would not recommend discount tires or any affiliates for your tires needs. This branch is particularly rude and always late when returning your vehicle. On both visits, they haven't started on my vehicle until i ask status and then i see them go grab the key and bring it to the shop, as if no one was aware they could work on then next car. I love this Discount Tire!! my husband and I always buy our tires from Discount Tire and they never disappoint. One of my tires would not air up in thought it was an error on my part but I took my car to Discount Tire to have it checked out. Jacob was happy to help me and had me pull up to the Air Station. Jacob inspected the tire in question and realized the valve core was broken. He replaced the broken part and aired up the other tires to be sure I was safe. I got Tires from the Poway location and was sent to the Vista Melrose location for a wheel alignment. This is a very efficient location. This place was packed and yet all the clients were serviced in a timely manner and left with smiles on their faces. This is the ONLY location that does wheel alignments. Will and Luis are great problem solvers and they stay moving caring for the customers. They move fast all whilst listening and tending to the customers concerns. Very impressive. Aidan was technician that took care of my vehicle and did an outstanding job. Everyone knows that Tesla isn't an easy vehicle to service. Aidan knows his stuff. I went to Discount tire expecting someone will pay attention and will assist me with my concern - Uhmm, nope. I got point yo one direction to another. So I was able to get another set of brand new tires that were perfect for my car. The value you get at this specific location is unlike the others! I wish I knew everyone's names... but Colby helped me last week, Jonathan helped me right when I came in this morning, and everyone else just operated so seamlessly together. They make sure each client is well taken care of, and is informed throughout the entire process. Altogether I think I spent an hour there, which I was prepared for. They've checked the pressure, the surface of the tires to ensure there is no damage, and have reset the tire warning light. They've squeezed me in at the end of the day and make it seem effortless. I made an appointment and was quickly checked in by a very friendly employee for a set of four EV Pirelli tires on my Tesla. The process took about 30 minutes. Everything was great until we arrived home. As we were admiring the tires we noticed that three matched and the fourth did not. It was a completely different tire. And one of my rims was damaged in the process. Monday morning I called and spoke to the manager. His response was "Oh wow!" He said it can be taken care of at any location. He looked one up for me and found that they had 7 tires in stock and wrote a note for the other location. His explanation was that "maybe the tire tech just grabbed the wrong tire, it happens, it's human error." It's unfortunate to have to write this, but if it helps others as a reminder to check all the tires and make sure they all match. I do have to say that the tire techs at both locations were courteous , friendly, and welcoming, but sadly this "human error" caused an inconvenience for my husband and I. After paying so much for the tires, we had to make another appointment and head over after a long day at work. read more
