I have been to many Discount Tire locations throughout central and now northeast Texas over the last 20 years. Many tire purchases and installs. Today, got new tires and an alignment due to somewhat unexpected circumstances but imperative to get fixed up immediately and back on the road. Bought tires online last night with no appointment. Showed up at open. Finished everything by 9:15a and couldn't be more pleased. Staff really checked all the boxes: friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and good at what they do. so much for making an appointment at the south broadway store in Tyler Tx, Plus me and my wife was the first ones in line at 0730 am and this store manager seen us sitting in the parking lot before they opened and at 15 till 0800 am people started pulling in left and right and we we still the last ones to get waiting on. I have a 2018 Camaro with low pros and 20inch rims !! I went to get my tires change everything seem to be going right until I noticed my rims had chips all around the edges of every rims!! Idk if I am just different but I pay attention to everything that is done to my car it's my pride and joy!! Anyways I let the dude know that was checking me out and I told him to get a manger!! When I thought they would make things right the manger at the time Matt accused since me car had 100000 miles on it that I did it myself !! So I asked please explain how it's around the rims and not only on one tire but all 4 of my rims !!! He made a claim for me cause it would be over 200$ .. wouldn't let me see the claim nor give me a copy didn't take pictures of everything!!! IM NOT JUST GONNA GO AWAY I WONT MY STUFF FIXED!!! Made a mistake of buying 4 new tires a year and half ago from this location. My last visit I was told my tires have road force and aren't under warranty paid $280+ tax for coverage for 1 new tire. $1200 in tires and no warranty? Returned this morning as I had a tire leak and was told it can't be fixed and needed a new tire. $246 for an additional tire? constantly feel like every time I return here I'm having to spend more money when I feel like I shouldn't have to.. in a year and a half half I'm $1700 + in a set a tires. Tell me I'm not the only one. Perhaps luck of the draw? Or tires I selected. Frustrated, unsatisfied and may look elsewhere for tires and service going forward. read more

Here at my favorite tire chain, Discount Tire. Had an 11:30am appt that was quick and easy to setup online. Tire rotation and slow leak repair. Love that this location is at the outdoor mall, lots to do while you wait! Discount tire has a communication system as well with text messages to alert you on the progress of your service. Was in and out in 40 minutes ... the first time. Unfortunately had to come back because once I got up on Hwy 49 with some highway speed my steering wheel started bouncing back and forth. Called the store back up and returned immediately. They believe the tire is t balanced properly. Have asked them to check all 4 tires balance as misbalanced tires will wear out sooner, not to mention vehicle control. Also asked them again to set all 4 tires to 38 psi ... they failed to do that the first time as well, they were all over the place from 35-42. Let's now see how much longer I will be here for this appt I made to be done in 40 minutes. Ugh. All done now and they totally took care of everything! Still a great tire place. read more

While driving cross country with a car loaded down with stuff including about 40 pictures in the back end of the car wrapped in clothes for protection. We had a tire light come on outside Tyler Texas and limped into the discount tire there at 453pm on a Saturday (they closed at 5pm) They checked it out and the wheel was cracked. They offered and helped unload the whole back end to get out spare and replaced it. Then they got old tire/wheel in back end and helped pack all our stuff back around it. They had us back on the road by 5:20pm. No one grumbled because it was after hours or even blinked an eye at all the crap we had to unpack and repack - they gladly helped. What a great testament to the excellent customer service Discount Tire offers ! I wouldn't go anywhere else if I needed tires, wheels or rims. I came to discount tires because of course. My tires were in need of replacement. Upon arrival. I was greeted by a fellow employee whom offered assistance to me right away. Came to my vehicle. Got my info for tire size and we went into the facility where he quoted me some descent tire prices. After looking at a few options. I chose the Arizonia tires. Set of 4 tires with 55k prorated warranty, maintenance warranty and road hazard replacement all came to $600. There was a cheaper option but this package seem to fit best. After that they brought my vehicle Into the bay and believe it or not. They completed mounting all 4 tires in under 30 min. Mind you. It was a Saturday at around 9am. I was met in the parking lot upon driving up to discount Tire in Tyler. I was greeted professionally and kindly. I picked out the perfect tire for my sons vehicle and placed my order as the tires were not in stock. A few hours later I was called and they let me know the tires had arrived. Once I got back to discount tire there was no wait for the tires to be put on and it took maybe 20 minutes at the most for me to get in and out of there I was completely impressed everyone was very professional and wore masks also. BOTH PASSENGER SIDE HUBCAPS WERE BROKEN! Went in to get 2 new tires and have them rotated. My initial review was going to be good considering the reasonable price and short wait time (30 minutes). Great customer service! I ordered tires for my wife's car and my sister's car, who both have Honda Fits. One rim was larger then the other, but both sets of tires were ordered as the same size. To resolve this problem Adam, said that they had that exact tire size in stock and it shouldn't be a problem at all. Adam updated the ticket with a better rated tire that they had in stock. They didn't have my model in stock but gave me another tire to get on the road and back to Tyler. With a note to this manager. My car was stranded at Discount Tire after closing. Instead of leaving the car outside to get vandalized, stolen or snowed on, they took it in after the tow truck dropped it there. That night we saw the storm of the century and I couldn't get to my car the following day. That continued for 3 days and they kept it inside until I could get there to drive it home. The manager was very understanding of our predicament and after a speedy repair he allowed us time (in the bay) until we could get there. We will be back for a spare and a wheel in the near future and we will go nowhere else for tires or service like and besides this post we will tell our friends and family to do the same. We buy all of our tires from Discount due to price, quality and outstanding service. The South Tyler location is the best. I won't go into details, but had trouble with a new set of tires on a new vehicle. Jacob went above and beyond to help make sure I was a happy customer - no other tire store would do what they did. My wife and I will continue to buy all of our tires here and when our 3 girls start driving they will buy tires here as well. This is a great tire store. I've used discount tire for at least 20 years exclusively. Never had any problems, and this newer store is no exception. Very helpful and friendly staff. There are a couple of references to scams on Discount Tire reviews. The Road Hazard Warranty is another. Went in to get my tire fixed, Yokohama are not the cheapest tire they run about $175 on the low end. So I bought Road Hazard Warranty. When I took my tire to get it fixed that's when they tell you about the fine print and what it covered. They refused to honor what I've paid for, said Discount Tire doesn't repair tires in that condition. But they offers to sell me a new one with a small discount. Funny thing is, I went down the road to another tire dealership and had my tire plugged and ready in less than 10 minutes!!! You lost a customer today and hopefully others will see what your scams are and stay away!! read more
