This was my first visit and truthfully it is a very standard tire place. They were very busy and I was a little disappointed when I came back when they said the car would be ready and they hadn't even touched it but when I told him I really need to be somewhere they quickly got to my car and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. However, when I got my car the car was making loud noises and my tires needed to be aligned and they said oh we don't do alignments?!? Seriously we spent almost one thousand dollars on new tires and you can't even align the tires?? Review for Discount Tire - Completely Unacceptable Workmanship I took my vehicle to this Discount Tire location this afternoon for what should have been a simple job: replacing two rear tires. Instead, I came home to find that the technicians had damaged the frame of my vehicle by placing their jacks in the wrong location. This is not a minor oversight -- this is basic, day‑one training for anyone who works on cars. The fact that this happened tells me everything I need to know about the level of training and attention to detail at this shop. I drive a 2025 Ford Explorer Platinum with the Ultimate Package. It's not a bargain SUV, and I expect any professional shop to treat it with the care it deserves. What I got instead was rushed, careless work from people who clearly prioritized speed over quality. If the goal is to push cars through as fast as possible, congratulations -- but it came at the cost of damaging my vehicle. I've attached photos showing the damage so there's no question about what happened. This should never occur at a reputable tire shop. I'm extremely disappointed, and I will absolutely be reconsidering where I take my vehicles in the future. First (and last) time to patronize the newer Houghton Road location. It's busy, and the wait is much longer than the Kolb/Golf Links location. I had an appointment for (4) new tires for my truck and prepaid over $1,000 online. I also had two camper wheels/tires in my truck that needed replaced. I told Jerimiah I found a couple inexpensive tires for $65/ea in stock. When the bill came, I learned that $94/ea tires were installed. I didn't complain, but asked for a veteran discount. Jerimiah offered $4 off per tire. That's less than a 5% discount. Their typical veteran discount is 10%, and what I received from my online purchase. And then there was the case of the missing lug nut on one of my truck wheels. I discovered it days later and called to let Jerimiah know about it. No apology; just a, "yeah, come on in and we'll get you taken care of." I think "taken care of" should have been accomplished with my initial visit. Heading out of my house and the tire light came on, which in my world = instant stomach ache. Pulled over and saw huge nail in my tire. After limping the car to the closest air pump, I then headed here. If you're like me, anything car related is stressful. Mostly because I don't know anything about cars, what I need, etc. The super friendly guy told me the wait was 90 minutes and because of Covid-19 we had to wait in car. They wouldn't allow drop offs because they aren't allowed in the cars. I was super stressed as I had to be at work to open and I didn't have 90 minutes. They allowed me to leave my car and have my friend come back and pull the car in a couple hours later. They were super accommodating. Would give zero stars if possible. My husband brought his Lincoln here three weeks ago for two new front tires. When we went to pick up the car, the front passenger window was down, which we found odd... but it also wouldn't not roll back up. Before even leaving the parking lot, my husband went back in to ask the employees what was going on. Somehow, the crew there inspected my wheels, came up with some competitively priced replacement options, and had them all professionally and competently installed in something like three hours flat. Came in as a walk in for a tire rotation and balance. Store manager Mike "inspected" my tires before setting me up in the system. An hour and a half later, the tech tells me I need a new tire. Tire wasn't in stock and it would be another hour and a half to have it delivered and mounted today. Manager Mike was seen hiding in his office while his staff were attending to customers. The only time he came out to help is when someone would knock on his office door and even then he took his time. I lost an hour and a half of my time because Mike was lazy in my opinion. Arrived about 3:30 at this location with a nearly flat "run flat" tire. Car warning system was red-lined. Emergency! Though they were booked solid, they said they could help me if I was willing to wait. At one point I was told it might be 6:30-45 before the car would be ready. At 5 the tire was fixed and I was on the road. These guys really helped me out. I had to take a friend to the airport at 5 am the next morning and would never have made it on that tire. I've been buying my tires from DT for the last 10 years (I own 6 vehicles). I even got a credit line through them. They have ok customer service when you're buying tires from them. Their customer service is excellent if you call them on the phone. Regardless of how many people they have on the premises waiting in line. You will ALWAYS be made to wait if you're there in line and the phone rings. Even if you're being helped by someone at the counter, you will be told to wait while the person on the phone is helped. Although annoying and somewhat disrespectful, I've always overlooked this because its a AZ company and they contribute a great deal to our community. That being said, my issue comes with there willingness to help you after you've purchased their tires. A few months back my son in law had one hell of a time getting them to fix a flat on a tire he had purchased from their Houghton location. Yesterday I took a vehicle I had purchased $2k worth of tires and rims for and needed the new tires swapped out for some older ones because, that vehicle was going to be sitting for a while. They politely denied being able to do this service because the old tires were 10 yrs old. And they have a policy against installing tires older than 10 yrs old. That's totally understandable. However, today I took another (different) vehicle and needed some tires I bought from them 7 years ago with 95% of tread still on them installed on my Tacoma. AGAIN, they refused. They said because they were 8 yrs old (I bout them 7yrs ago, so they must have been a year old when they sold them to me as new) and had some mild cracking on them, they couldn't do it. These tires have been in my climate controlled garage. My only guess is they sold me faulty tires. No worries, I hardly ever use my Tacoma. I just wanna get a few more miles off the defective tires they sold me. Nope! They sited "safety" concerns. Which to me sounds like a cop-out that a lot of companies use these days. Well yes, I'm frustrated and have spoken my peace here. I'm giving them 2 stars again because of the good they do for my hometown and the good conservative stance the owner of the company takes on issues I care about. Otherwise it would have been no stars. For whatever it's worth, this is just one persons opinion/experience. But this one person will be sparing himself the frustration, and using another local tire company in the future. read more

Was offered to be placed in queue on the way here. Cameron, John, and Roberto have all helped me. Silly me didn't check to see if I had a spare, I do. Tire will be delivered next day. So far, great service throughout. From the phone calls to in person service. Thank goodness I bought the road hazard, they will have a brand new tire for me. Yay! They have even showed me the website to register my tires online. Update, Roberto took care of me this time around. I did have to pay for another warranty for the Michelin tire that I didn't realize until there. My door was locked, without asking, which was wonderful. And done way ahead of time. Nice to have so many options of walking to other places if don't want to sit around waiting for car.
