I never write reviews but Wow! This place deserves a review. I'm blown away. This is the best shop you can possibly go to for tires. Better than any dealership/independent shop/tire stores out there. Cesar is the man. Absolutely the best customer service I have ever experienced. 2 days before my appointment, the service manager called to confirm that my tires arrived and to confirm my appointment. I brought my own rims and requested to have the lugs hand tightened instead of using impact and they made sure to do it. Tires were balanced perfectly even on tires that are known to be hard to balance. Helped me bag and load the old rims and tires into my trunk. Have some problems with my old lug nuts and they promptly found ones that work and they were reasonably priced. They even told me to come back and return the lug nuts if they have any problems. read more

These guys have always saved my butt whenever I got a flat tire and needed service. It is better and recommended to get an appointment, but for the occasions when I got a flat, I have been able to do a walk-in, which was a godsend. They never guarantee that my car will be fixed that very day, but I almost always get my car fixed in a few hours. Most recently I needed to get my tires rotated and this time I was able to make an appointment through their website. Because I made an appointment, it took less than an hour. I really love this place. I came as a walk in for a nail in my right rear tire. I was second in line and Marvin who initially checked me in was prompt, thorough and very knowledgeable. I just bought my car less than 6 months ago so all my tires were pretty new. I had a feeling they couldn't patch it due to the location of the nail. Alexander helped me the moment we walked on the premises. He did an inspection and explained everything in detail. He didn't try to upsell me on anything. He cut to the chase plain and simple that I could get away with just replacing the one tire. I appreciated his honestly and effort to make sure I didn't have to spend an arm and a leg. However, I knew that I wanted to take advantage of discount tires great warranty program and upgrade my tires anyways so I decided to buy all 4 new tires. Alexander said I could at least trade in my tires for some credit which was great. The whole process was smooth and easy. If you've purchased tires from here their service is excellent. From tire rotations, air fill, and needing to patch an air leak they can assist. And they're good with communicating if there's any issues and send notifications right away when the vehicle is ready. As well as the diagnostics of what was done. I usually recommend friends who need new tires to come check them out. Because they do have decent prices and sometimes discounts compared to other tire shops. read more

Had some odd marks on the bumper when I left.. and the car was not driving quite like herself... luckily, I also needed a quick oil change and they did a tire rotation to correct what was off. A couple weeks ago I was in Lemon Grove area and a worker was at a neighboring store. He saw me purchase a tire gauge and told me to go on over to the Lemon Grove location for them to check my air pressure and fill it for free. I drove on over, they filled my tire and I was on my way. Well after the 15 minute drive home, my tire was losing more air. I couldn't find any location with appointments same day. I called this location and the gentlemen on the phone told me it wasn't very busy so it should be about an hour to inspect and fix if they could. I arrived and they came to my car to inspect the tire. They couldn't see anything visually so they said give them an hour and they would let me know. I ended up leaving the area to get dinner, they called me about 30 minutes later and said there was a puncture on the inside side so it could not be repaired. I asked for a cheaper tire since my other tires only had 20K miles on them. They offered me a good price, but said they suggested doing all 4 tires and would give me a trade in credit on 3 of the tires. I had no clue they did this. I told them I needed a few minutes to make a decision and would call back. When I called back a few minutes later they relayed my message to my service contact and within 30 minutes I had 4 new tires on my car. When I arrived to pick up my car and pay, they had gotten pretty busy, so they asked who was there to pick up and pay and they had us go first in line which I really appreciated. Overall, I feel like Discount Tire really goes above and beyond. I usually get my tires elsewhere and I hate to say it, but only came for the free tire repairs, but now, they've earned my business and I will be back. If I could give them 10 stars I would. This is the 4th set of tires I've purchased from Discount Tire for this car. I purchased and scheduled the appt online. Within two days I was notified they were shipped and had arrived at the store. Right before I arrived for my appt someone called and said that there would be a parking place out front with my name on it. I pulled in and someone came out immediately and knew everything that needed to happen. Then the magic began. They pulled the car into the shop at 8:10am and sent me a text at 8:27am that the car was done! 17 minutes to install four new tires and valve stems. SEVENTEEN MINUTES! Total time today at Discount Tire on Convoy to replace all four tires was 22 minutes! There is also plenty of parking at this location as it is right across from Costco. Love coming to this Discount Tire because they always do a great job, rotations are free, annnnd it's right next to the Costco business center, allowing me to kill two birds with one boulder-you know what I mean. I can't believe there's so many five star reviews after what just happened I had a horseshoe symbol. Wasn't sure if I needed air. The guy checked all my tires he said they're good new 2022. he told me that it's the sensors I said if that's mechanical, I bought it extran extended warranty on my car. It doesn't expire for another year, would it cover it? He said he doesn't know then he told me if he replaces the sensors even though there was only one sensor that seemed off he would want to replace all sensors because eventually they would be Bad then he says he can't replace the sensor without replacing the tires a few minutes before he told me how good my tires are. I called where I bought my car and the sensors are in fact covered. I have a feeling he knew that I believe because I'm a woman they wanted to take advantage of me. read more

I ordered a factory replacement tire online and it was in the store within 2 days on the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend. I originally made an appointment for installation for Wednesday. The website for ordering said to give it 3-5 days to arrive at store. When I received the email that the tire had arrived at the store, I was super impressed. I called the store where I had the appointment scheduled for Wednesday on a Monday. The store manager named Marvin answered the phone and told me that I could absolutely get in as early as the next day, Tuesday. Well today is Tuesday and I had an appointment at 2:30 PM. I was advised to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. I was able to get there at 2:15 PM. When I got there, they were very very busy and had about eight customers waiting on their cars. It was really good to see them get at least six customers completed while I waited in the line. I was up and so a gentleman came up to me to ask me if I needed to be checked in. I told him yes and explained that my online order had arrived at the store. He then told me to step up to the counter, and that he would check in the other new customers in line behind me. Another employee came to the counter, where I was waiting and checked me in. His name was José. He was able to find my online order and confirm that the tire was in the store. We went out to check my vehicle and he was very courteous and customer service oriented. I explained to him that I wanted to take the donut off of my car, and also replace my flat tire with the new one that had just arrived from my online order at his store. Jose was very smart and kind and he explained to me the process. I appreciate it that he checked the treads on all the tires as well as confirmed to me that the tire that I brought in that was flat was not repairable. I was hoping to take the tire that had the nail in it, get it patched up, order, an aftermarket rim, and then create a new spare tire. The reason why is I do not care for the donut. Jose told me that the donut is only supposed to be good for about 50 miles range. Well, we agreed that I would wait and get the new tire replaced and that he would send me home with the tire that had the leak in it. Unfortunately, because it was not repairable, I would have to figure out what to do with it, and I was hoping that I could sell it to some type of a Place where they use them for decoration since it cannot be reused for safety. Jose told me that it would take about 45 minutes to an hour for my tire to be replaced and it could be sooner. When he told me that it was 240 2:45 PM he told me to that by three30 3:45 PM my tire would be done. I just started to get online and connect to their Wi-Fi with my work computer and my phone. I was not sitting down more than 15-20 minutes when I was notified on text that my car was ready and that the tire was all replaced. a young man named Cesar was the one who told me to meet him outside. I stepped outside and my car was done. The tire was replaced and everything seemed gravy. I am highly impressed with the efficiency of the store, you definitely get faster service if you order online and book an appointment. The staff was very courteous and very kind and I am very impressed that they treated a woman respectfully and didn't try to price gouge me. I have visited this location in the past when I had my Toyota Camry so now that I have my truck, I will probably be coming here more often as they are less expensive than the dealer. Today 5/9, I came in to this discount tire location to replace my rear right tire under my paid-for tire certificate. The extra coverage. The tire is worn down to a 3. Yesterday I was driving and the tire started losing air rapidly. I had just enough to make it to a used tire shop, who put on a cheap tire to hold me u til the morning, today. I came in to this location as a walk-in. Gentleman put me in the queue and looked at my tire. 30 minutes goes by. While I'm waiting, I scheduled an appointment online just in case the wait took too long for the walk-in. Finally get the tire looked at by Daman. He tells me that my tire's certificate couldn't be honored because of the "uneven wear," but the tire's tread as a whole is 3. I asked to speak to a supervisor, which was Marvin. Marvin was extremely combative, defensive, and flat out refusing to honor my certificate for whatever reason. I'm not sure what his deal is, but the way he was carrying himself is not how you treat customers who've spent $1500 on tires and paid for the extra tire coverage. I do not recommend this location at all. Marvin is the manager and doesn't know how to manage properly. I'll also be filing a complaint. I've been coming to discount tire for years and have never had this issue getting my tire certificate honored. read more

Also, they have a great selection of tires for my car in comparison. When I bought tires here, it was straightforward and everyone was very friendly. At least at this location, it's clear everyone has to maintain a high standard. But more than that, what really stood out is when I had an issue with one tire, Tyler went above and beyond. I went to get my tires checked because my light came on. I was told my one of my tire had a nail. I asked how much it would be to patch it and they told me it was free. They let me know about 2 hrs and it'll be ready. Ok, cool no problem. I left and came back. When I got back one guy told me they took my tire out and patched it but they could not put the tire back on due to it being over the "legal"limit. If it was over the legal limit, why was it ok to patch it in the first place? The guy let me know they cannot put my tire back on and the only way to get out of there was to buy a tire from them. I told them to put the tire back on so I can leave and they refused and tried to force me to buy a tire from them. I was then sent to the front to see how much a tire was. This guy is supposedly the store manager, marvin martinez. Horrible customer service! Tried to make you feel dumb and uncomfortable. Just because I'm a female, he thought he can talk down on me, talk to me in a certain way and talk over me. I ain't the one! He let me know the price of the tire. I told him I want them to put my tire that I currently have, back on so I can leave. He let me know that my tire cannot be patched because the tire is "too worn out" and the only way I would be able to leave was to buy a tire from them. At this point he is also forcing me to buy something I don't want to buy from them, especially the way he continued to talk to me, I for sure am not buying anything from them. I let him know that if it's too worn out to patch then why did the other guy tell me it's already patched? He said it's not patched yet. I told him well the other guy said it already is so just put my tire back on so I can leave. He went to go check and came back and told me it is patched and they will put my tire back on. He then said some unprofessional, stupid and unnecessary comments saying "it's only gonna cost you an hr of what someone here is making" and "if your friend can sell you tires then have them take out the nail next time" How about you do better, do your job right and do what your store offers. Don't promise anything you can't keep, especially cus you all know you messed up in the first place. Learn to communicate with your staff so you don't mess up communicating with costumers. I unfortunately got a nail stuck in one of my tires, and for some reason my car dealership wasn't picking up the phone for me to set up an appointment to have it looked at. Luckily my boyfriend let me know about Discount Tire, and I was able to set up an appointment online immediately. - PARKING - Shares a large lot right across from Costco. Park anywhere near the shop, and walk in to either get your service started, or check into your appointment time. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - As I said, setting up the appointment online was seamless and super easy to do. Once your appointment time gets closer, you're able to access your portal to check-in, confirm your arrival, check your service status, and get notified when your service is complete. The attendant that helped me out was clear and friendly, and explained what had happened to my tire.There's chairs inside if you plan to stick around, although I took my time to walk over to Target because the attendant gave me an estimate of 40 minutes - to my surprise it was only about 15! - EXPERIENCE - So easy from start to finish, and I'm so happy with the service that was free of charge! They even tucked my spare tire back into my trunk neatly, and even brought up my seats. Went Mexico to pick up some medication that I need and today is the anniversary of a day that I got in a really bad car accident. I never tried to drive on these days and my tire went completely fat on The highway in about five seconds. I wasn't in a safe location and the tow truck came really fast and brought me over here. I was nervous that I wasn't gonna make it in time before they closed. They reassured me that they would get my car taken care of. They also were able to find me a tire that I could afford. I was literally distraught in crying and the guys were so nice and patient with me. My grandfather died a couple months ago that day and we spread his ashes in San Diego down the coast. It was the first time I have been out there since it happened and the way I caught a flat could've caused me to be in a horrific accident. My most recent visit involved a nail in the tire on my 2022 Subaru WRX. My tires cost about $350 a piece! A warning to all of you who want to buy a sports car! Thankfully the nail was far in the center of the tire in which they are able to fix it...all for FREE! That's right...FREE!!! Safety issue: Brought in a Tesla Model Y Performance in for a tire rotation. This location charges $60. While other locations offer free rotations. I was in the area and needed it done so I figured it was worth it vs Tesla Mobile Service vs longer waits at other locations. Which may explain why this location had no lines for "walk-in" customers. Model Y Performance has staggered wheel set-up. Wider wheels in the rear and slimmer wheels in the front. Proper rotation is a side to side (left to right) rotation vs rotating wheels to front in an x pattern. The side to side rotation allows the wheels in the appropriate size to be positioned where safe and effective, allowing the vehicle to perform safely. Jonathan the individual that checked me in was nice and included the details in the work order notes saying to rotate side to side but this was ignored by the team working on the vehicle. They brought the car out and I noticed the front wheels had wheels with tires 275/35/21 positioned at front of the vehicle and the 255/35/21 were at the rear! That's a no-no. Luckily I checked before driving off and saw the discrepancy in rotation and brought it to their attention. Sales Manager Marvin was apologetic and spoke me 1:1. Beware: educate yourself and be aware of direction/size/location of fire before getting any work done and after for potential safety predicaments. I get we are all humans and make mistakes but improper repair/service of vehicles by trained professionals may also potentially impact the lives of their customers. read more
