TLDR: This shop made sure that I was leaving with a safe vehicle over making sure I left with giving them a sale. If they're near you, come. If they're far, come. Jared (Assistant Manager) and Erik, THANK YOU.
My Experience:
I just drove from AZ to Orlando about a week ago. I woke up this morning to one flat tire. Erik initially helped me and spotted the nail. They got me in right away and told me to sit tight. I asked to replace my back windshield wiper but as a new site, they didn't have the size. I overheard them discussing if a bigger blade would do but ultimately said not to push it. (I appreciated it but didn't say anything. I just noted how they didn't try to cheat me. It's always scary as a female who knows nothing about cars and going into a shop alone not wanting to be taken advantage of) Once they started working on my vehicle, they showed me my lugs and expressed the need to seriously consider changing them as they would be a safety hazard. Now this was my first Ford vehicle (and last there's always something wrong), I just put over $7k in this car within the last 6 months, so I wasn't trying to hear it. So I brushed it off and explained that I'd fix it when they officially went bad. ( I'd say it was probably ignorance on my part because I don't know cars but just didn't want to put in more money.) Then Jared came out and asked to show me something. Explained that since I was driving from AZ and back, that if a flat happened on the road and they couldn't get my lugs off or they crumbled, I'd be getting towed and that would really be a huge problem that could be prevented now and that he'd feel better with me leaving with a safe vehicle not just a fixed flat tire.... Ultimately he ended up offering to fix things at a price that I couldn't say no to. (I'll keep the final price between us because if I had it, I'd pay 10x the full retail price out of pure appreciation) This meant a lot because I just finished medical school and I'm waiting to match into my first job which isn't until March. Even then, my job wouldn't start until June. So until then, I'm not earning cash. (I have the title of doctor without the pay check yet lol) So while I'm not starving, I'm also being very cautious with my expenses. Jared had no reason to take care of me the way he did besides just being a good human being. So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Thank you to both of you. Thank you to the shop in general as I interacted with 4 employees in general and everyone was patient and kind. I hope you all have an amazing 2025! read more
