Today (01/02/26) my Chev Silverados front passenger tire was going flat. Beings my friend & I who are both elderly were in dire straits to get it fixed asap. We went to this tire store at 2701 SW College in Ocala. Logan was the first guy to help me at the counter. He was so kind and considerate. He got us checked in fast. Kyle from the shop showed us the bolt that we had ran over. The tire was fixed and Kyle was so kind to tell us the service was free. I am so grateful to them. Be Sure To Make an appointment online If not your are subject to wait an hour. I had to get a tire installed and balanced within the hour while the shop was over filled with customers that had appointments . That's what I call service. Warranty on tires is also great. Ordered tires from tirerack.com since tire rack always a had the best prices. Tire rack gave the option for discount tire to install the tire I ordered. The tire took about 45 minutes to install after arrival. No vending machines no coffee options. After the tire was installed, my name was called and a technician handed me my keys. I stepped in my truck to find greasy fingerprints all over my gear selector the steering wheel and other leather bound materials. do not recommend if you like keeping your car clean and in pristine condition. I suggest technicians wash their hands before stepping into a $70,000 truck and touching everything with greasy hands. I will not return. read more

Experience I had here was substandard I've been going to discount tires for years in Texas before I moved to Florida the manager Joshua was a complete idiot . Never smile never greeted anyone did no feel like I was not a value customer. After doing business with them for over 20 years . I also asked for my military discount since I'm a disabled combat Marine veteran since the tires were for my caregiver car he would not give me the discount what difference does it make as long as I'm purchasing the tires one would think, They said the car would be done in a few hours instead it was way into closing time car was parked out in front of their garage for over an hour and a half with the tires installed yet they got the paperwork mixed up. I told them to put everything in my caregivers name from the very beginning and I would pay for the tires so when my Caregiver went up there and ask them if her car was ready they said no they had the paperwork in my name instead of her name so waited an hour and 45 minutes for nothing what a waste of time. Also we both came in together. I could've had a better deal at Sam's Club and the tires even less expensive with more of warranty I also had to order the tires so we waited two days they said they would have it there one day that was the only reason why I picked discount tires because they could have it one day but they did not deliver on their promises on the other hand Sam's Club would've had it in the same time frame and less expensive probably better service next time I will choose another place to have my tires replaced or repaired I will not use the discount tire in Ocala Florida although there was a few employees that thank you for my service that was very nice of them and I do appreciate that but the manager at that place is terrible I will not go back ever again. Made an appointment online for 3 PM on a Friday. Figured they might be busy but I was wrong. Very quick, efficient checkin. Shop manager actually came out during checkin and said, "We've been waiting for you!" and I gave him the FOB and wheel lock key. "This won't take long." he said and he was right. I don't think we were there 20 minutes and I WATCHED them do the work so I know there were no short cuts. I will absolutely return to this shop. read more

Provided great service. Had a major cut in one of the tires on my Tesla. This happened Thursday afternoon. They were able to locate a tire in Tampa and expedited shipping to Ocala. Even though they were very busy for me in this afternoon, Saturday, and put me back on the road. Staff is very professional, competent and responsive. I really don't like buying tires because they are expensive for my Audi but I needed some at the last minute while traveling back home to CT from Florida. Arrived at the store right before they closed at 6 and I was not turned away. Within a few minutes, I purchased 2 new tires and my car was in the garage Although they didn't have the tires that are currently on my car, I found some that worked well. My wife had a screw in her tire, simple fix, expected to pay 20 bucks or so. Get there, guy looks at it, says simple fix no charge but they're busy and it'll be 2 1/2 hours. Saturday morning, I get it, no big deal and I'm happy there's no charge. We go to have breakfast and about 30 minutes after dropping it off my wife gets a call from them. Another guy says the lug nuts can't be reused and they only come in a kit for all 4 tires which costs $65. This is a complete lie. I know because I've taken them off replaced her brakes and used the exact same lug nuts, without any special tools. This place is why people don't trust mechanics. Last time I got tires for my truck, I went through them and it was $1000 for 4. We will go somewhere else next time these people are liars and scammers. I got good service in the past and a good deal. But on Monday May 6, 2019 I went to them to get a tire valve replaced on my inner dually. The salesman and manager refused to repair the valve starting that the outer tire was worn and was a safety issue. But I guess a broken valve is not a safety issue. I feel that they were only after another tire sale. Went to another local tire dealer and me repaired and back on the road in thirty minutes. Be warned some managers are not as helpful as others. I will be hesitant to use them in the future. read more

There's a great group of techs at this DT location! I pulled in to have my tires topped off before an x-country drive and the observant and friendly tech found a nail in a tire. Todd then helped me navigate the walk-in process because all appointments were booked. I only waited an hour in the shop, during which I worked and watched the techs navigate an insanely busy end of day with kindness and efficiency. We got a flat tire about an hour and a half from home. We tried a few other places first because of proximity to the interstate but no one would look at a run flat tire. I'm only leaving one star because I can't leave zero. We are a Jeep Wrangler family and have been since 2014, and 20+ year discount tire customers. We were 1700 miles from home and we were at a point where we needed our tires rotated. We pulled into this Discount Tire and they told us that our wheels and tires were unsafe and they wouldn't touch my jeep because of my wheel adapters. My first clue that there was a problem should have been that they have never serviced 40-inch tires. In my home state, my 37-inch tires were mounted, balanced and warrantied WITH WHEEL ADAPTERS ON MY JEEP at Discount Tire. They've also been rotated and balanced regularly, with no issues from Discount Tire, since 2020. This store needs to get with the program and figure out what everyone else is doing! read more

I went to the one on collage rd. in Ocala I have had other vehicles there but when it came to my truck I have had nothing but problem after problem first it took like 3-4 hours to change all the tires out they told me that whoever sold me the truck should have told me about the rims not being right for my truck the problem with this is I am the only owner of this truck and I have had the same rims on said tuck since 2006 with no problems then they said I needed to buy new rims which they could help me with of course. I refused new rims they then made me sign a waiver of liability now my truck is in another shop which called me about a key to my lugs which I have never had I go there to see what they're talking about to see that all my lugs have been changed the last place to do any tire work was discount tire when I called then they said they would be happy to sell me the proper tool to remove said lug nuts which I never knew was changed in the first place. I do know that they changed them because I do keep extra lug nuts in my truck as spares and they do not match what is on my truck now. To say I am A little Pissed Right now is an understatement. I will not send anybody there and do not plan on going back. read more

The service is okay... But I don't think I've ever been there for less than an hour for a tire rotation, that takes them 15 minutes when I finally see my car get driven in. On top of that, if you arrive on time, with an appointment, they will quote you an hour from when they finally get to you inside. It's not the customers fault if your always behind, or process people inside slowly. Do better. read more

I went there this afternoon, and for the first time in years I drove home with a really strange feeling, a feeling of somewhat disbelief that I actually got genuine great service and value. It felt so rare, but good!. From the moment I called to explain a problem if my tires going off-round, that I bought two years (20,000 miles) previous, They didn't argue and were cautiou and helpful, and told me to bring it in and they would ta a look. They explained I was going to wait a few hours because they were booked until after hours, but that was fine because there was plenty of comfortable seating that was just cleaned and disinfected. As I waited I got a text explaining the stages of progress, and soon enough I was called. And to my delight they agreed the tires had separated, causing humps , and they gave me two new ones, I only had to pay $27 and change for the portion of wear. I drove home thinking of how good it feels to get no nonsense, genuine costumer service and a company that stands solid over their warranty. I would absolutely recommend DISCOUNT TIRE. I had a bent rim and needed a new one along with a new tire. Arrived at the store and the person said they needed to order them in from another location and he'd call me back in a day or two. Four days later I called and nothing had been ordered. The guy (different sale person, Todd) said he'd get them ordered (and had me pay a deposit) and that he would call me later that day and let me know when to expect them, no call. The next day I called and asked what was going on and was put on hold for 45 minutes before I finally gave up and hung up. Finally, after two weeks of trying I called and they said they'd have the wheel and tire ready at 4 that day. I arrived at 4:45 and after an hour of waiting they did get the install done. The most aggravating part of the experience was being told I'd be contacted multiple times and they were working on it only to be ghosted and find out later nothing more had happened since the last time I talked to them. I have a cross country road trip planned for the holidays and I nearly had to cancel because of their unprofessionalism. read more

I bough 4 new tires for my fifth wheel camper from this store. Pricing was average. I'm very happy with them. It took roughly an hour from start to finish to replace the tires, but I did have to wait 4 hours until they could get to me since I came on a Saturday and didn't have an appointment. On the phone they told me that they only schedule one appointment every 15 minutes, but when I got there they told me they had double-booked their appointments, which was why the wait was so long. The dealer told me I had a nail in the sidewalk of my tire. They put the spare on and I made an appointment with Discount Tires. When they pulled the tire out of my car there was no nail to be found. They double checked by putting it in the tank and not 1 bubble! Seriously??!! I cannot say enough about how well I was treated. Great pricing and service. Got an extra price break on one set of Michelins because I did both my SUV and RV. The manager got the RV tires overnight, had a fantastic technician do the work, including installing the rear tire extended valve stems I provided, gave me instructions on registering the tires and filing for the factory rebate. Have been a long time customer..today was the worst.needed 4 tites for a vehicle we put on 5k max Miles per year..we have Michelins on it now and plenty of thread but dry rotting so we picked a basic tire over phone and went in today for our appt.as soon as we arrived salesperson Jeffrey V. Told us how bad the tires we wanted to purchase were not once but 3 times..paid for them and took my check out back and still told us how bad these tires were..why would u sell bad tires..very unprofessional service..I heard him do this sales pitch to three different people..when we purchased Michelins for our last vehicle no problems..I got my check back and left..will not be back read more

I arrived with a mounted slow leak tire off the car. Neither had been purchased from Discount Tire. Todd wrote up the work order, assured me the newly refinished wheel would not be damaged and I registered for a text alert when the work was done (effective and simple system!). On arrival JR loaded the tire into our car and I received a 'no charge' bill from Todd. "No Charge?" I asked, Todd said no. We rebuilt the leaking TPS and valve assembly and you're good to go. While there I witnessed that these men and this shop are very professional, exceedingly polite to every customer and know the tire business very well.
