Reasons why I'm doubly impressed: 1. I was told by my car place that my tires on my newish car had run dangerously thin. (I guess my affordable car came with cheap tires to make the car, well, cheap OTD.) They quoted me a price. Not to be taken, I did some research, took a few friends' recommendations about how great this place is, and went to see what Discount Tire would quote me. They came up with the same quality tire at a better price. Sold and installed. Courteous service, and saved me some money. Awesome tires. Happy customer. The End, or so I thought.... 2. Several months later, I'm back again for routine service at my car place, and they told me that my tires were way too large, rubbing and causing potential damage to my car's innards. I drove immediately afterward to Discount Tire, where they were able to recognize the mistake and corrected it for free, right away, while I waited. No damage had yet been done to my car. I wasn't angry, just seeking a solution. But the person who had helped me AND the manager both personally took ownership for the problem and apologized, and they fixed it FAST while I waited, at no charge. I believe it was a sincere and rare sort of mistake. They were like, "THAT was why we had this weird inventory issue a while back!" I got new, awesome tires, again. And I really respect how they totally owned it and made it right. Customer for life. read more

The guys out here are literally the nicest set of guys out of all the Discount/America's Tires. And believe me, I've been to many, due to growing up in CA, going to school in AZ, and living in IL for this summer. Cannot say enough about these guys!! read more

Tires are EXPENSIVE....we all know that....but after getting tired of sliding around in the repeated morning snows that have been hitting Central Illinois this winter I decided it was time to get some serious tires. After shopping all around town and being told several times "well they just really don't make good winter tires for your car" I walked into the fairly new and exceptionally clean Discount Tire in North Normal (in the eerily empty Constitution Plaza area). The tire shopping experience at Discount Tire was exceptional and the customer service provided by Jason (I believe he's the sales manager) was excellent. He knows tires are a very expensive investment but wants to make sure you have the right tire on your car. I walked in around 3:30 in the afternoon and I was back in my car (after a visit to the nearby Rosati's for a beer and appetizer) at 4:15. The entire staff was professional and well spoken and the installer took the time to tell me about my tires in the freezing cold North Normal wind (nothing to stop the wind out there) before I left. Did I walk out of Discount Tire $800 poorer? YES. Do I have exceptional tires (Continental DWS by the way) under my car that make it feel like I'm driving on air through the pothole filled streets of BloNo? YES! Will I get free rotations for the lifetime of the tires? YES! I hope to not have to buy tires for several years but when the time comes again I will go to Discount Tire again. read more

I am the worst when it comes to cars, but this company has really been my knight in shining armor. I got a flat last year, so I went here to get a replacement tire. The customer service was wonderful, their price for a replacement tire was exceptional, AND they offered me insurance on all my tires that somehow saved me even more money. I could not have been more impressed. When I ended up needing a replacement tire 6 months later (I told you I am the worst when it comes to cars) the Discount Tire near my parents' home up north was able to easily look up my records. Since my tires were insured, I only paid a $12 labor charge for the replacement. Best deal I have ever gotten. EVER. I cannot recommend Discount Tire enough. Heads up though: This locations can get REALLY busy, so to avoid the wait, it is best to set up an appointment in advance. read more

I have purchased a set of tires for both my cars over the past 2 years. Just yesterday, I made an appointment online to balance and rotate my tires which is free when you purchase tires from Discount Tire. I gotta say, these guys are the ultimate professionals from the management to the tire changers. I have my tires balanced and rotate every 6-8,000 miles and it's free!!!' Over the life of owning my tires, think how much this saves. Not only was my tires that I purchased a very competitive price, but this store sells me on customer service! read more

I am so happy to see that Central IL has a discount tire! If you need new tires, This is the place to go. Wonderful customer service!

So I called a couple times before making an appointment to get prices and in-depth details of what they offered. (It's not every day you buy tires, you know?!) Ordered tires during the Memorial Day sale and scheduled an appointment for the first week in June based on positive reviews AND a VISA PREPAID rebate card of $100 with "BEST rated" 4 tires purchase. Appointment time was a couple minutes over what I was told but only a couple and they were very busy. ALL team members seemed to be working hard and moving fast. Disappointed to find out that they DO NOT service alignments with new tires but it is recommended!! Ended up making an appointment request with Automotion in Bloomington via their website and it was around $100 total for alignment the week after I had my tires put on. Total cost for new tires AND alignment was $750.00. So I was definitely looking forward to the prepaid VISA coming. Received the card 6 weeks later for $70.00.... not $100... as I had thought. Checked the website again to be sure I was correct it should have been $100 and spoke to someone on the chat feature with Discount Tire's rebate center online. After approximately 15 minutes of discussion and the rep reviewing our info, they stated that a new $30.00 prepaid card would be sent and expedited. Sucks they don't do alignments but impressed with good customer service and standing behind their word. I can go get my tire pressure checked ANY time they are open for free! (And who doesn't love free!!) read more

Fantastic customer service is worth it even when you have to patiently wait your turn to be helped! I had a a low tire pressure light on my dash of my 07 camry. I had the issues checked out here and they said I need a front left tire pressure sensor replaced. I booked an appointment with Jordan who quoted me about 65 and change for the sensor replacement including labor. I called a few dealerships who quoted me 89.99 just for the oem sensor and another 1.3 hrs of labor for the reset of the sensor ! I booked an appointment with Jordan. I came in on a Monday at 2 and they were busy. I talked to Matt and he was awesome. He checked and made sure my left front tire needed the sensor. He gave me 10 dollars off for his error in running my card twice because he didn't include labor in the first transaction. My appointment was at 2 and I was out of there by 2:45. My sensor was reset and I paid just under 55 bucks ! Outstanding! I finally do not have the Low tire pressure sensor light on my dash ! read more

I live near discount tire, so when I got a flat the other day it was my only option. That being said, I'm happy to have found it! My tires weren't from Discount Tire originally, but they said they were in good enough shape to get me a new tire and cover my other three under their warranty (free fixes and rotations for the life of the tires)! This won me over. The prices were cheap and the service was awesome. I had to wait a pretty long time but there's nothing you can do about that in pothole season. Will definitely be going back for all of my tire needs. read more

Other car place in town was going to charge me hundreds of dollars fir something that cost $60

I was very impressed with Discount Tire after taking my car in today. I had a slow leak in the rear passenger side tire and they fixed it for me at no charge!! I was shocked and so was my husband when I told him. I will definitely return to Discount Tire when I need new tires or a tire repair! read more

Well...I have to say, this is my first visit to Discount Tire, but my first impression is that this place is AMAZING. KRIS PARKER IS AWESOME! He explained to me how safe my tires were and got my car in TODAY ....TO FIX a tire that had slowly been leaking for weeks. I will definitely be back for new tires in a couple months. Did I mention the repair today was FREE?!!!!:) VERY NICE !!:) read more

My experience here was awesome. I stopped in on a Friday late afternoon about an hour before they closed. I had a flat tire and I needed an assessment to determine if it was repairable or if it needed replaced. This was my first experience ever at discount tire store. I chose to come here, even thoughIt was a bit of a drive, because this place had been recommended to me, and because I had a very poor experience at another tire store in town that is closer to my house. I did not have to wait in line at all. I was greeted with awesome customer service. The worker who spoke to me was very friendly. He took a look at my tire and provide me with an assessment explaining that the tire needed replaced. He went into detail explaining why and did an awesome job. He searched their warehouse computer system to locate a replacement tire and their local warehouse had the exact one I needed. I only needed to replace one tire since the other three were only one month old. I came back on Monday. I did not schedule an appointment, but instead chose to take advantage of their walk-in process. I assumed I would need to drop the car off and come back at the end of the day, but surprisingly they were able to get the tire on in about 45 minutes. I was impressed by this because I was the fifth person in line when I arrived. I spoke with a different person during this trip and his customer service was equally awesome as the first guy. Overall everything about this experience was great. I will be back for sure! read more

Service has always been very good (6 vehicles) and I have shopped at Walmart, Sam's, Goodyear and dealers. If it's tires and tire repair and rotation, you simply can't get a better value for your money. The online appointment service is nice, but normally use the walk-in service if you don't mind waiting about an hour. The place is clean and waiting area does not have a TV so bring your phone and reading materials. read more

I am writing this on behalf of my friends experience. She was driving 4 hours to come to Chicago to visit me. Her tire blew out half way on her trip & she had nobody to come get here or nowhere to go. When she finally got help changing her flat she needed somewhere to go fast. I yelped this place & told her to stop here since she was within 20 minutes. They got her in super fast & calmed her down & everything. Thank goodness for them for making a stressful situation a little better!! read more

These guys were great. Can't recommend them highly enough! We didn't have an appointment, but they were able to get us in a reasonable amount of time and were very quick when replacing two tires! read more

I was skeptical of all the great ratings this business received. Really? A place called "Discount Tire Store" receives only 5 star reviews? Well I'm certainly not going to be the one to break that streak. If you own a car, the time will come when you need to replace your tires. Depending on your disposition, that day may come when you are walking to your car, notice the tread and wonder 'is it time for new tires?' or, if you're less concerned about car maintenance, that day may come when you're hydroplaning down the highway in March. But the day will come. It's inevitable. And when the time does come, you'll wonder where to turn. Let me save you some time. Discount Tire Store (Lord, that's a terrible store name -- pains me to even type it) seems to understand the consumer and our very basic needs: to get new tires and not feel like we're being ripped off. And that's what you'll get -- honest advice about your tire status, and if you get new ones they'll throw in free tire rotations. Heads up -- they'll offer you some kind of warranty on your tires. I didn't get it and wasn't given a hard time or made to feel like I was losing my salesman commission. But when I went in for my first complimentary rotation, I overheard a conversation between a salesman and a customer who had a nail in the sidewall of his tire. The salesman explained that if he'd had the insurance, the replacement would be free but as it stood he'd have to purchase a new tire. The customer asked a million questions and even though there were a few of us waiting, the salesman took the time to answer each one. The customer eventually decided to replace a pair of tires and get the insurance. I guarantee that the customer didn't feel like he was talked into that decision. And that's what's nice about this place. They just provide good service, which is all you're looking for when buying tires and yet it's somehow so hard to find. So just go here. read more

I bought new tires for two of my cars about 2 years ago. Within a few weeks I noticed that one tire was losing air so once per month I had to add a little air. During the covid period I tried to not go out too much so after 5 months or so I took the car into the shop to get the air leak stopped. They told me it had to be the rim was going bad so they charged me $15 to dismount the tire and then clean the rim. I had purchased the scam Cerificates so I would have road hazard coverage. The tire continued to go down every month or so. I took the car back with 7000 miles on the tires to get them rotated but was told I could not because there was a hole in the tire. Really! I think the tire had a manufacture's hole in it when I bought it. It always leaked. The remedy was to charge me for a new tire because the hole was on the upper part of the radial. When it came time to pay for the new tire I told them that I had the certificate for the tire, so they redid the paperwork and gave me a new tire. Strange as it was I also told my neighbor what happened and he said the same thing happened to him and they would not rotate the tires only because they said they were too old. Lots of tread, no leaks but TOO OLD. Discount tire has been where I always go and where I have told my friends and family to go, but not more. The certificates expire after 3 years and no free rotation if you don't drive much and the tires get OLD. I know a scam when I am being scammed. Goodby! No more GOOD free advertising from me either. Talking to my friends and getting the word out! read more

I came here one day to replace ALL of the tires on my nissan altima. The tires that I had selected online were a little more expensive than what I needed, and the mechanic was able to point me in the right direction. Not only did I save money, but I was SO impressed with the level of customer service. Their website is super user friendly too, so that's a good plus. Love this place, and I'll go back for all my tire needs. read more

My wife had a slow leak in a front tire. I drove to Discount Tire to get it remedied. Unbelievable service!! Parker and the entire staff run their business like a hospital (tire triage, diagnosis, remedy, follow up). They are passionate about making sure everyone leaves with their autos on safe tires. I'm thinking of slashing my own tires just so they can sell me a new set!! Did I mention the repair, sensor rebuild, wheel cleaning, dynamic balancing and tread check were all FREE. They will get 100% of my business. They should get 100% of yours. read more

I have been doing business with Discount Tire for many years with good results, however the store in Normal went above and beyond. I was starting a trip from Chicago to Phoenix on Thursday morning, but when I started the car I noticed the low tire pressure light. It was 6 am so Discount Tire wasn't open yet, so I put 10 lbs of air in the tire and headed out. By the time I was driving past Normal IL Discount Tire was open so I pulled in. Jonathan met me at the counter and I told him my situation. The car is a Corvette Grand Sport with special order tires so I was worried. Jonathan found the nail within seconds, and immediately pulled the car in to a bay for repair. The team did a great job and knew how to handle a low profile car correctly. Within an hour my tire was fixed, and the Tech (I believe Jordan) even took a minute to remove some excess wax from around the wheel well. The guys did a great job, they were fast, the service was free, and I was back on the road quickly. Thank you! read more

Great experience! Bought tires here for a vehicle a couple years ago. It was as a great a experience as buying 4 new tires can possibly be. Had a flat on a different vehicle earlier this week, and they fixed, rotated, and balanced for free. Unbelievable! Despite being a national chain, they operate like a local, caring business...just how it should be! read more

Buying tires isn't easy, even under normal replacement circumstances but the staff at Discount Tires makes the experience better than I ever thought it could be. They are exceptionally friendly, thorough and professional beyond pale. The facility is immaculate. They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and keep you informed about your car, the services they perform and the tires they sell. Every member of the staff is knowledgeable, will treat you like a valued customer and will go out of their way to answer questions and make sure you are satisfied. In my case, they even honored the warranty of tires I had purchased elsewhere when the original shop started giving me a hard time. I will definitely be back when I have to replace the tires on my wife's car. read more

I have taken two different sets of tires to Discount Tire in Normal and they have refused to put them on because they say the rating of the tire is not up to their specifications. Both sets of tires had the same rating as the factory tires that came with the vehicle. They only put tires on that you buy in store otherwise they won't touch them. Pushing business away. read more

I was blown away by the customer service at Discount Tire! The guy that helped my wife and I with a flat tire a few weeks ago was excellent. I hope somebody doesn't hire this guy away. The facility is clean and the mechanics are on display. I'm sure to be a repeat customer. read more

Easy... That's the one word I will use when dealing with this store. I called looking for tires and the man who answered was just layed back but we'll informed.. Which is excellent considering how hard and stressful it is to shop for tires.. This place has great prices, excellent and fast service, and a very kind and upbeat staff. Plus they informed me they have over 900 stores if you ever have a blow out your information is already in the system so there is no stress dealing with that either. Trust me people this place is great and you will not be disappointed unless ur just an unhappy person. read more

Came here to get new tires for my boyfriend's car. First I'd like to start off by mentioning I know nothing about tires, but I do know what good customer service is. Very friendly and got lucky that we were able to change three tires and the whole service for $300! And best of all, we were out of there in an hour! Only thing I could say I wasn't happy about was waiting to get the key to go home. It seemed like it added unnecessary time. read more

Decided to try these guys as a result of the reviews on here and I am not disappointed. They talked me into all new tires, and even though I suspected it might not be necessary I decided to defer to their judgment and go for it. I am very glad I did, my car has never gotten around better. The tires they selected for my vehicle are just what I needed and they gave me a good deal on it to boot! The warranty is also very good here. Highly recommend! read more
