First of all the tires were hundreds of dollars over what I could have bought them for an Amazon. So do yourself a favor and shop around. I came to terms with that and there is nothing else around at all to eat while you wait. I was forced to eat a snickers out of the vending machine and it was so old it couldn't be eaten the guy at the counter agreed but said there was nothing he could do. Really? I'm spending north of $700 on tires and you can't refund me a dollar on your stale candy bar! That ppl is the opposite of customer service. read more

Had a puncture in my tire. Tires are on the older side and probably need to be changed sometime soon. I've done this before and never walked out of the store without a set of new tires. "We can't fix it" is always the response. This could have easily been the case the other day. But instead of cashing in $600 on a new set of tires the guys at Don Owen fixed the flat for $18.50. Those tires will be replaced before next winter, I will be getting those tires, and all future tires, from Don Owen. Thanks for the honesty guys. I'll be back before the snow flies! read more

Decided to come here because it had the best reviews (that weren't just copy-and-paste 5 star reviews from friends and family, like other places I saw). I came in after my tire started making a thumping noise, found out later it had a bolt stuck in it. The wait was going to be a few hours and this was my only vehicle, but they were nice enough to give me a free ride back home and pick me up again later when it was all done. Everyone was super polite and friendly, and by the end of it I paid so much less than I expected. It's been a few days and my patched up tire is still running smooth and silent. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!! They will be happy to send you on the road with defective tires and without properly checking their work. When you ask them to remedy their mistake, they will gladly throw an employee under the bus by writing him up and then do nothing to compensate you for the hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in damages that they are responsible for. What they will do is tell you, that it is your fault that brand new tires managed to wear down to the metal threads in less than 300 miles. After showing several other auto shops and even the general manager of Don Owen, the condition of the tires that they had supposedly checked one week prior, everyone (including said manager) agreed that they were at fault. If they were not, why would they write up an employee who failed to do his job and put our FAMILYS LIVES AT RISK! When it came to the owners attention, not only would he not reach back out to us to make it right, he tried to say it was not his fault. They have a BS spiel that plays in your ear when youre on hold with them, talking about how they care about their customers. Don't believe it for a minute! These people care about money and dodging responsibility when they screw up (AND THEY WILL)! We will never use them again and we will tell everyone we know to avoid them at all costs! Shame on you Don Owen! Your despicable lack of care for your customers and your obvious focus on money only, should be made as public as possible, so people know what you are truly about! read more

I have taken my car to Don Owen on numerous occassions and have always been more than happy with the service that I get. Their pricing is reasonable, and their work is great. Last night, I got home just in time to watch my tire go completely flat. The snow had just started coming down, so I called Don Owen so I didn't have to deal with digging out a car with a flat tire. They arranged for a tow truck to come and pick up my car (which was done within 40 minutes) and towed to their shop, even though they were closed by the time the tow truck arrived. They called me back at 8:15 this morning to let me know that the car was ready and that they were able to patch the tire. As a female, I always worry about being taken advantage of by mechanics because of my ignorance when it comes to cars, but I never worry about that with Don Owen. I always leave there feeling like I completely understand what it was that they did to repair the vehicle and with complete confidence that I was not overcharged or made to pay for services that were unneccesary. I cannot recommend them enough and they will always be my go to place for auto repairs - not just tires! read more

Traveling home to Wisconsin from Alabama, we came out of our hotel and we were greeted by a flat tire. We could see what looked like a nail. AAA sent Joe's Towing to put on the spare. The driver escorted us and the tire to Wink's Shell station. They were unable to get the nail out. Wink's recommended Don Owen Tire. Turns out it was a wheel weight embedded in the tire. They could not fix it, but they sold us a used tire and got us on our way home. Everyone was extremely polite and very helpful. I HIGHLY recommend Don Owen's tire! read more

They did not fix what I asked for. I requested the right side be fixed (the side making the noise) they fixed the left side because when they put tires on in January they side it would need fixed at sometime. I don't believe they even drove my car or they would have heard the noise on the right side.
