I shared my screwed tire on my social media. Everyone recommended Discount Tire because the repair is free and they got cheaper tires. Because it's right down the road from my house, I walked in without an appointment. The store was small and little warmer than I was used to. I got in on a line. When the assistant manager finished with a customer before me, I told him about my situation. He grabbed a nail cutter and a bottle of soapy water. He quickly diagnosed with a touch of squirt. "See? It bubbles... it's leaking air." Because the screw was too close to the edge of tire, the patch won't hold. Same analogy from Firestone. Ok. Cha-Ching to them. Frowning wallet to me. We walked inside and he started to gather information about what kind of tires he can sell me. In my mind, I was scared to buy such large purchase under pressure. Yeah. The tire might pop while I'm driving on a freeway. It happened to me before. He gave me some pretty good idea what to expect. Instead of print out the quotes, he asked me to take pictures from the monitor facing me. Fine. You want to be green. It's fine with me. He said the quote was good for 5 days. I came in for my appointment with rims, and had tires delivered to the shop. I go to the shop, they take my mileage and the rep asks me if I had new studs for my rims, I tell her of course, and she says they will need them to replace the wheels, and to place them in the passenger seat. I then am forced to pay before the work is even started (a no no, especially with mechanical services). About an hour of waiting they tell me "we can't put your rims on we don't change studs". That would've been GREAT to know before they wasted my time and money. They ASKED where my new studs were and said to place them in the passenger seat so the shop guys would see them, then they tell me they don't do the service?! Waste of TIME and MONEY, I was scammed. Go to Bellaire Tire Shop To summarize: 1. Miscommunication to the customer. I was told my wheels could be changed with the new studs for the new rims. And I only found out that wouldn't be the case after I waited an hour. 2. I was charged before work was even started. I pay when the job is done. To me, it seems like they charged me knowing they couldn't put the wheels on my car, and lied to me so I would be charged. Horrible business model. I will not be here again. read more

Amazing experience with Elisha I. Enriquez! I've been having issues with my car shaking while driving for a couple of months, taken it to my dealership, 3 mechanics and 1 other discount tire. They all did not take the time to sincerely look, all of them looked at my tires for 2 minutes told me it was the tires and an alignment as well. Long story short the tires were never the issue. I happened to take my car to this discount tire because the mechanic I seen this day said tires again. Elisha was informed on the problem, from the beginning he assumed that was not the issue because of how bad it was shaking while driving on a video I showed him. Elisha is very competent in this field. He looked at my tires and noticed the tie rod was moving causing my tire to not be locked in place. He then referred me to a mechanic down the street Redline AutoSports and problem solved! I've had nothing but good experiences here. Friendly staff. Good service. Try to book online or call for an appointment. I know sometimes emergency hits and you can't make appointments ahead of time, so you'll probably have to wait, I mean just like any tire place. They have a fridge in the waiting area filled with free water bottles. Know they they ONLY service tires. Not alignments or anything . Also, I'm not sure you'd call it Discount anymore. I don't see much of a price difference and tires ARE expensive! The HUGE perk is that if you have low tire pressure, you can pull up and they will service your tires for free. I've been a loyal customer of Discount Tire for over 30 years. The core of their business practices has changed dramatically over the recent years. Here's the story. In 2016, I purchased the "LIFETIME TIRE ROTATION AND BALANCE" for my 2yo car when the Discount Tire service rep sold it to me as "it's for the lifetime of the tire and you can have it rotated and balanced as many times as you'd like and as often as you like". I hardly drive it and it only has about 20k miles on it as of this year. And I keep very good care of this car. I made an appointment and took it in last year ('22) for rotation and balance (R&B) as it has not been done for over 5k miles. As usual, the Discount Tire sales rep went and checked my car tires when I first arrived and said he recommended I buy all new tires. I asked him why and he said it's because it has a few cracks on the side walls of the tires. I respectfully told him that these few minor cracks on the side walls does not warrant me needing to buy four new set of tires, especially when they still have a lot of tread left. Because he was unable to sell me four new tires, he then told me that my tires did not need to be R&B at this time. I insisted that he do the R&B, because that's what Discount Tire has advertised to its customers. He then said that they will only do it "if it needed to be done, but it was at their discretion" So, how do you go from telling me I need 4 new tires to telling me my current tires are fine and doesn't need rotation? False advertisement! I did not want to have a back-and-forth debate with this guy so I decided to try again another time and hopefully with another Discount Tire rep. So, in October of this year, I made another appointment and explained to the person on the phone that I want to make sure that, if I take in my vehicle, that they will R&B the tires and not refuse as before. The Discount Tire rep on the phone even reassured me that they will do it. When I brought the car in this time, the sales rep (name is Luis) went and looked at the tires, and said that they no longer R&B any tires that are 10 years or older. Note, the vehicle is 2014 therefore it's not even 10 years yet. So obviously, Luis doesn't know math. I nicely and patiently explained it to him that the tires are not 10 years old yet. Plus the agreement that we had when I purchased this R&B was for lifetime of the tires, not 10 year lifespan of the tire. I went as far as asking to speak to the manager. So here comes Robert (manager). We went through the same spew, and Robert would give me the same answer. I asked him why they would refuse to R&B my tires last year then? He said he doesn't know because he "was not there last year". I asked him to look up the records in their computer system regarding my visit last year. He said there was no records of my visit because "no service was actually rendered". Another tactic for businesses to cover up corrupt/fraudulent practices. Robert confirmed that the 10 year limit on R&B was only implemented within the last couple of years or so. So I asked him if he thinks that this was fair and righteous to sell a lifetime policy to customers in 2016 and, to turn around and not honor it by changing their lifetime policy to 10 years. His response? "I don't know. I just work here." So I tried to reason that this unethical practice by Discount Tire was only an isolated event involving this one particular shop. So, this is where things starts to get interesting. A month later, a friend of mine (who did not know anything about my incidences with Discount Tire) contacted me and told me how upset he was because Discount Tire had tried to tell him his tires were over 10 years old (it was only 3 years old) and said he needed to get new tires. When he refused to buy the new tires, they then said he didn't need to rotate his tires and refused to do it. Note, these tires of his was purchased from Discount Tire. Plus, his incident occurred at a different Discount Tire shop than the one I went to on SW Freeway. On another note, you would be treated in a total different way if you were buying new tires from them. So, who else are they scamming? This corrupt practice by Discount Tire has to be implemented by the executives up top (to REDUCE COST (ie avoid honoring their agreement by refusing to rotate and balance tires which reduces labor cost) and generate more REVENUE/PROFIT (ie sell more tires even when it's not necessary)). Everyone who has business dealings with Discount Tire should be aware of this and report any fraudulent incidences they encounter to the BBB, OIG, etc, and request these agencies to investigate this company thoroughly, starting from the very top. They aren't just ripping their customers off, they are willing to do it at the expense of our environment as well. Do people even care about what it means to be righteous and ethical anymore? read more

Very disappointed, as I walked in no one greeted me or any of the customers that walked behind us I guess they were busy and they looked short headed only two salesman at front about 8 different customers waiting on their cars. Plus no place to park, everyone ignored us no one said anything like "we will right with you or something like that". He is great at letting you know what is going on and his great customer service is just a plus. Michael, the manager, saw the line and quickly came out to take care of customers. I'm sure he was busy but his focus on customer service was apparent. WTF HAPPEN HERE??? I have been coming here for years and recommending them all the while. Somehow, some way things have changed drastically and for the worse. I called at 3:21pm on a Thursdays afternoon and ask "are you busy" and I am told "no we are not, come on in and God Bless you" I pull into the parking lot and there are cars parked everywhere and every which way because it is full. So I pull up to the sign that says "check in here" and wait.....and wait.....and wait. Finally a car pulls out and I grab his parking place and I get out of the car and stand in front of the sign that says "check in here" and I stand....and I stand....and I stand. I can see people everywhere and many were in line inside. Finally I call them and say, "if you are too busy just tell me" and the guy said "Oh no, we have only three customers in here. Come on in" I tell him I am standing at the "check in here " sign but I will come in. He said 'Oh no, someone will be with you in a minute". So I wait....and I wait....and finally after while someone does comes out. He ask what seems to be the problem. I tell him the back left tire has a slow leak that has just gotten kind of irritating. He goes around the entire car using his little tool to tell me that I don't need any new tires. I tell him, yes, "I know. I just bought them within the last few months and I haven't been any where because of the pandemic. It's the back left that has a slow leak." He never looked at the tire to assess the issue. He takes me inside and and puts my information into the computer then stops to tell me that they "don't have any replacement tires on hand and that it will have to be ordered." Which just shocks me because nobody hasn't even looked at the tire with the slow leak to know what is causing the leak. I ask "why do you think I need a replacement tire? Nobody has even looked at my flat to know what the issue is" He said he was "letting me know incase I needed a replacement." I ask them that "if I need to order a new tire, can we do it after someone looks at the tire to see if it can be plugged first? It's brand new." He said "Oh sure" Ok, I have been there, already thirty minutes when they said that they "weren't busy" and they have already figured out that I know I don't need a new set of tires and they let me know I will have to order a new tire because they don't have one on hand. BIG RED FLAG HERE!! I should have known to leave right then and there. But because I have been coming here for years, I give them the benefit of the doubt. So I got back to my car and pulled up my Ipad and found that they had sent me my receipt at 4:09pm for my last visit, which is the visit I am still waiting for service on. So like an idiot, I sit..and sit...and sit ... in the car for another thirty minutes, thinking that they will come soon to look at my tire. Finally, realizing that no one was going to fix my flat at 4:49pm today. I go back in and ask for my key back. I've been in my car the whole time so I know that no one has looked at the flat yet but they have already closed out my ticket, sent me a receipt because they knew I wasn't purchasing any tires. I cannot begin to give credit and 5 stars to David and his crew at this store. We are pulling our 5th wheel from Oregon to Florida. In the last week, we have had two of the trailer tires blow out from being defective. Had the first tire replaced at Discount Tires in Yuma and now the 2nd one outside of San Antonio. We put the spare on and made it to Houston. David brought us in and immediately called one of his guys to drive to another store to pick up the tires we wanted. They had multiple techs replace 3 of the 4 tires quickly knowing we had to get back on the road. The courtesy and professionalism by every employee was exceptional. Outstanding services and attitude! They are the winner. This was the first time I experienced issue with REBATES. I contacted Synchronize Bank and was ping ponged back and forth 3 times. Googling around and was very nervous because I read other customers similar stories. I went to Discount Tire Store and spoke with Chris, he contacted the bank and had this sorted out. The post office lost the REBATE, they did send out the rebate to me but it has never arrived at my residence, 6 months had passed. I appreciate Chris and his professionalism. Discount tire has truly come to my rescue this morning I had two tires that started to unravel I believe I hit something a few days before that completely ruin the front two tires. Luckily my tires went flat two exits before this discount tire. They took me right away was very helpful and even brewed me a fresh pot of coffee!
