I made an appointment for Saturday and was dreading the crowd of walk-ins I was sure would be there ahead of me. What I walked into was a super clean lobby and no line. I was served immediately and checked in quickly. They had the tires I wanted (you can order ahead when you make the appointment). That's good enough for 5 stars but the reason I've taken the time to post is to rave about the warranty. When John went out to check my mileage, he inspected all my tires and found a bubble near the rim of one of the ones I wasn't there to replace. Completely covered under warranty. Wow. What a relief! I was in 45 minutes. On a Saturday. I didn't even have time to read the book I brought. Oh, There's a Whataburger across the street too if you need a snack while you wait. read more

Very impressed with the service I got from Discount Tire. They are our go-to for tires thanks to the great pricing, selection, and of course their 'no questions asked' tire warranty. However this last visit I used their online services to pick out and purchase tires and make my appointment to get them out on and it was beyond easy. One of the things that's stresses me out is shopping for anything car related, because I'm always concerned the sales people will take advantage of me and my (real or perceived) lack of knowledge. The app takes all that stress away, in giving you the tire options for your car and easily comparing the quality, price, etc of each option. Going in to the store there is a specific area online purchases can check in, they go over what you bought and answer any questions you may have. I wasn't pushed into any upsell or felt disrespected, the employee helping me was professional and respectful which I really appreciated. I was given about 2 hours until my car was completed, and since I was walking distance from my home I decided to walk back home and wait as opposed to waiting at the store. However, I got notice my car was ready to pickup only 45 minutes later- talk about a surprise! Great quality selection, respect service and extra-fast installation is everything I could've asked for in tire shopping. Will definitely come here again! read more

Once upon a time, Discount Tire would never be my go-to place for my tires need. These days, Discount Tire would be the first place I call every time I need tires. Why? Well, they price match anyone's price (maybe with the exception of Costco and/or Sam's Club but I never asked) and the kind of service that Discount Tire employees provide (any Discount Tire) is exceptional. This is why I was a little sad that I only came to this location to have some new tires that I had purchased somewhere else to be mounted. But Belly, if they price match and they're so awesome, then why did you buy your tires somewhere else? Well, that's because the tires I bought were being discontinued and I had called Discount Tire about a week before to get these tires for me and they didn't have them. The system showed that one of the California stores still had them in stock, but someone called that store and they didn't actually have them. Anyway, I bought my tires online and as soon as I received the tires, I called this location to see about mounting the tires. The closest Discount Tire for me is actually the one on E TC Jester but I didn't even try calling that location simply because that particular location is always packed. When I called this location, I asked for a quote to mount my tires. I provided the tire size and the fact that I have TPMS on my car. I was quoted $133 and change for the tires to be mounted, balanced, with tax. The gentleman on the phone also informed that that it would take around 30 minutes for them to mount the tires (I called around 10:15 am on a Tuesday). When I came in to the store, there was only one other car in the bay. A gentleman named Tyler (not the guy I talked to on the phone) helped me and when he put everything in the system, my total price was actually $153 and change. A difference of $20. Not a whole lot, but still would buy a really nice lunch AND the only reason why this location did not receive a perfect rating. I did mention the fact that I had called in and quoted a different price, but Tyler showed me the pricing on the screen. I was already there so I told him to go ahead and do the job. It took around 40-45 minutes between the time I arrived at the store to the time I drove out. Pretty respectable considering the first 10 minutes were spent checking the tires and some other administrative stuff. The total mounting time was around 30 minutes or so. Just like any other Discount Tire locations, this one also has bottled water and coffee for its customers. And just like any other Discount Tire locations, they offer FREE air check, FREE tire rotation, and FREE puncture repair. If you need tires, find the best price you can find and then take your business to Discount Tire and ask them to price match (or call them first). I'm sure you won't be disappointed. read more

I bought my tires from discount tires. I had no clue they offer free flat repair. Even if you didn't buy your tires there. Also they patch and plug it for a secure seal. I love everything about this store except for the neighborhood that it sits in. I got a flat on the way of dropping my son off to school so I got my car towed here. I had to be at work in about an hour and a half so I told the salesman behind the counter that I needed 2 tires and that I was in a little rush because I am on my way to work. The guy got my car taken in and out in about half an hour. I have NEVER been to any major chain tire store and have had the fortunate experience of being in and out with a two tire purchase. I always find cheaper prices with the Discount Tire chains and have never to my memory been treated badly. I have had several great experiences here so here's my four stars. Five stars would be if here was a big TV to watch or a Keurig machine with free k-cups. :) Here's how my experiences have gone... I call ahead, phone is answered quickly and professionally, I relay my car issue, they tell me to come on in, park car, check in at counter, they check my tires, and either give me an honest answer/quote or they go ahead and repair if under warranty and bring my car to the door and say I'm good to go. Lots of workers here to assist and is a very professionally run business. I always bring a book and have never felt like my time was wasted. I'd highly recommend this Discount Tire location, esp compared to other nearby locations. read more

I understand they get busy and have appointments and etc. But when I drove to this location for a reason and my appointment was 9:15am and it was 9:20am (there was an unusual closure causing traffic ITS HOUSTON NO SURPRISE) and they call me asking if I want to reschedule, IM LITERALLY ON THE ROAD 2 LIGHTS FROM THE PLACE. I say that and it would be less than 5 mins and I'm told oh yeah sorry no we are going to have to reschedule the next available I have is at 11am.. ARE YOU KIDDING!? His name was ken. Or Jason, or I called back and spoke to. You'll know it's them because they speaks to you all condescending and arrogant. This is not my first time coming to this location. When I started using Discount Tire, they were really good. Now they are horrible. I bought a set of tires there in January of 2017, but they only had 2 of them. I had to go to another location to get the other 2 and have them put on. Never had a problem with the tires since, except today. I had to call roadside assistance because I had a flat. I have 2 nails in the back passenger side tire. All I wanted was a plug until I could buy another set. The guy that was helping me proceeded to tell me all this other stuff that I did not even ask for and then he said he would not plug my tire. He said that I had to buy another one. That is not what I asked him for. Not to mention that I have a warranty on my tires. So what good is the warranty if I can't use it. The manager advised him to give me the Michelin (in stock) for same price as the other tires (which Spencer) was going to have to another store to pick up. They even informed me of Michelin rebate which ended being much better deal. There was plenty of help and although busy they came to tell me my car was being driven in. I was inbetween client meetings and needed to get my tires balanced after having some front-end work done, and I yelped my way to here. Enrique C. checked my tires and suggested replacing the rear ones (I knew it was getting close). No hard sell at all on getting the front ones (best to get all four done at the same time), and because of that I decided to get all four. I told them it was because of the Yelp reviews I came here (plus I was in the area). NTB I've had less-than-stellar experiences with, and Discount Tire out in Katy is always jam packed. The silver thread was coming out of them. The team was quick to get me my new tires on a get me out and on with my day. I have been coming here for the last 2 yrs for my tire needs. Stopped by yesterday evening to get my FRONT tire replaced. The tech said they replaced the tire & as a bonus checked the pressure of all the other tires. Awesome I thought, until i rushed out the house this morning only to see that my REAR tire was flat.... WTF. Horrible workmanship, how does a tire that was perfectly fine ends up with a flat??? The thing that bothers me about this place is you have to ask for them to give you a discount based on your warranty of the tires you are replacing. My previous tires had a warranty based on mileage, I was replacing them before the warranty expired, they know I am a previous customer and know the mileage of my vehicle, and yet, thy did not automatically apply the discount for my old tires warranty. The customer service was okay overall. There wasn't much else to complain about but they also didn't do anything special or go out of their way at all. I guess I'll go back again because they're close to my house, not for any other reason besides convenience. read more
