I got two new tires on Monday and a shout out to Bryce. A second mile employee. I go to this Discount tire only. All the folks are over the top when it comes to customer service. In the past Trey Mendoza was amazing and pleasant like Bryce was. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. read more

I don't typically leave reviews for non-restaurant businesses, but the service I received was too good not to share! My partner got 4 new tires and was helped as soon as possible. The store is pretty busy, so the wait was a bit longer than advertised, but you could see everyone working hard through the glass window. Jesiah seemed very knowledgeable about tires and answered some questions I had about my tires as well, and they ended up helping me fix a small leakage issue for free as well as giving me a free tire rotation! Was also glad Jesiah was recommending tires based on value and not just recommending the most expensive ones. read more

We rolled up to Discount Tire on Staples. The young man said "thank you for choosing Discount Tire, how can I help you"! This was in the tire lane. JD checked the tire levels and thread as requested. Gavin came over and also was nice. JD provided quality service on the heat! We definitely recommend Discount Tire. The service was at no cost because we are loyal customers. We spend a lot of money here on time and tires. read more

Great service and prices the staff made every effort and my vehicle was finished at promised time

I had four new tires installed. Service was quick and courteous, and the new tires are great. However, I was disappointed that they did not place the spare back in the proper location and secure it. They also did not reset the TPMS calibration. I expected both of these! Finally, I brought in an old tire for disposal and the counter man said he would get rid of it for me for free. Unfortunately, when I got home and looked in the back of the car the old tire was still there. I've always had good service from Dscount Tire, but I knocked off a star for this time around. read more

Lug nuts and washers installed incorrectly. I bought my tires here and this is the third time I have returned to get them balanced because they can't get them balanced properly. They also installed my lug nuts and washers incorrectly and were going to send me down the road with two washers on one stud, zero washers on another stud, one washer impacted sideways. This is the second time they've put the wheels on incorrectly and tried to send me on my way. read more

I called about getting my tires balanced, the dummy salesperson asked what I had and then said my tires were not safe to be balanced..? Yall are the ones that mounted my tires on my rims!! I mean, what kind of buffoons do yall have working there..? From just a phone call asking about a balance and wanted to charge me over $100.00 and then changes his mind and said it's not safe..? AGAIN, Discount Tire mounted my tires you buffoon! This dude needs to be RETRAINED!! No stars read more

This place never ceases to amaze me! Very friendly and knowledgeable folks that work there and they're ALWAYS slammed with people! It honestly surprises me how many people need tires on a regular basis. I've been taking my vehicles here for the past 4 years and Atomic Omelet is right there in the lot! So if you want to enjoy a bite while you're waiting for your tires; you have the option! Excellent quality and service. read more

My granddaughter and l had a great experience at the discount tires on SPID. They were so busy but made sure we were done in a reasonable time. Kyle P was so helpful because l don't know much about tires. Thanks again discount tires! read more

Outstanding service provided. Communication is superb even while your vehicle is in the midst of service. Will return again!

Went pretty well. I've usually always used them for anything tire; but things seem to be changing....not for the better. Before DT would honor other tire prices, Costco/Sam's etc. Now, not so much. And keep in mind, this is the 2nd attempt to secure a competitors price. Wanted to purchase 4 tires here but get Costco tire pricing, wasn't gonna happen......AGAIN. I love the extreme prompt service DT is known for but the meeting price of others leaves much to be desired now. Wasn't always like that. I even showed them the Costco price, they wouldn't honor it. Oooh well, welcome to the new America. Still great on attentive service though. You better find a 2nd job, America aka The Titanic. read more

I had a tire went flat due to road debris. I put a temporary plug in to get me to safety. I drove to this location as it was very close and I had received excellent service from them in the past. I was promptly greeted and told an approx time to talk with an advisor. The advisor then greeted me only a few minutes later even though there were many people in the lobby area. They were dealing very well with a surge of customers. I explained what was going on and what I would like to see happen during my visit. The advisor told me it would be a 2 hour wait. I was expecting to be provided some pricing information, but I wasn't. After the two hours, my vehicle was ready and everything I had asked for was completed. No charge! I was flabbergasted! They removed the temporary plug, installed a proper plug/patch, did a full leak test, and rotated and balanced the tires for NO COST. After my previous good experience, I have recommended this location to many people. After this last awesome experience, I will recommend this location to anyone looking for tires, wheels, or tire repair. Well done! read more

Better inventory stock. Better operating practices. I bought a set of tires a few months ago. I bought the protection package and yesterday I needed to replace a tire and they are replacing it today because I had to wait for them to get a tire from another city. Imagine a huge tire company like this and they still don't carry a tire they sold to you no where in the city. There is also a huge tire warehouse here in town that could have supplied the tire yet they chose to have a tire delivered from out of city. In all fairness the tire came back late yesterday afternoon. I requested the new tire at 8 am yesterday. Discount tires is the most unreliable tire company and does not give you customer satisfaction. They use scare tactics to make a sale so they can sell you tires that they have on site. That's another whole disappointment in itself. I can tell you. If you're buying a tire from this shady tire company then buyer beware. After spending the money I spent for a set of tires and certificates you would think that the replacement would come with a free certificate however they charge you for another certificate for the new tire. Basically you as a customer are paying for the transportation to have the new tire delivered from another city. It's a poor excuse for customer satisfaction. The entire place is staffed with 20 something's that I don't think have a true clue on tires. The fact that the manager would offer breakfasts to his employees in front of a line of customers is pretty much an insult to the waiting customers in 99 degree temps of corpus, you could have taken that to the garage out of ste to the public. But I guess it's too much for the manager to hold his meeting in the spot that has the worst air quality and no AC. IN YOUR FACE America!! read more

I had an appointment after memorial day for a set of tires I had purchased to have installed. Walking in, I spent the next hour being told they were trying to "finalize" the order. In the end CS told them to cancel my order, which ditched my $80 memorial deal. Blessing in disguise bc a friend told me about Walmart and turns out even without a deal it's cheaper to have everything ordered and installed there. read more

Was told at 12:15 would be done within 2 hours. Didn't get in until 3. Lied and put us off for several hours out of our day just to get a flat fixed. This location doesn't understand the core values of business and customer service. I drop off a tire to be replaced and the service tech informs me to return in two hours. Upon returning, I am then told that I have to wait an additional 1-2 hours to have the tire mounted. All told, I had to wait over 4 hours to have a single tire replaced. Complete s&$t show and waste of time. read more

I brought my car on for the replacement of 4 new tires. I was interested in buying summer tires not all season. The first salesman did not know about a tire with less too resistant. Although I did get a proposal , I checked it out on the internet to find out he was selling a all season tire. I returned to a different sales man and purchased tires that met my expectations.. Pleased with quick installation of new tires. I think the sales personnel should trained on what summer tires do vs all season. read more

I don't bother making an appointment because it doesn't matter anymore. I made an appointment for 12 o'clock got in the store and had someone check me out at 12:05 and still waited an hour. Are used to be that it would be in an out under a half an hour, and I would be next in line. Don't know what happened to that plan. Really frustrating when you see three other people who come in later than you get in and get out in before you're even in the bay. It took 10 minutes to rotate my tires, I don't know if they re-balanced them they said they did,. I can always go to my garage and have them do it, and not worry about it. I like discount tires for the tire prices but their service kind of sucks. This isn't the first time this is happened either. read more

They may have lost a lifelong customer. I know that doesn't carry much weight these days and I am not one to post reviews. Took my work truck in to get two new tires put on this past Saturday Oct. 22 and I pick up the truck and notice the hubcaps were dented up pretty good. I proceed to ask the guy at counter that gave me my keys what that was all about. He says oh yeah the chrome ones? yeah those can get stuck so we had to beat them out. Really??? Beat them out??? Have you ever heard of lubricant and or a rubber mallet??? You can't tell me this is discount tire corporation standard procedure. So just beat the hell out of the customers perfectly good hubcap and call it good, right? Not your truck, right? Really disappointed that they didn't slow down and try to think about how they could go about this without ruining the caps. No offer to make it right or hey you know what i'll order you some new ones man don't worry. Nothing, like it was no big deal. I am sorry but If my caps were fine when I took them in I expect them to be the same when I pick up the truck. Maybe I am being petty but its the principle to me especially after I look nowhere else when shopping for tires. Anyway, thanks discount for charging me $452 for a tire and ruining my hub caps on our main work truck don't worry its only like another $100 to get new ones but y'all already knew that right? read more

Took my vehicle in for services on the tire pressure monitor sensors. The salesman that assisted me was Jonathan (Assistant Manager). He took the device out to get a reading on my tires. He noticed that one of the sensors needed to be replaced. When I picked up the vehicle later I noticed that it was still indicating that pressure was too high (74). So I went back inside and he said "oh it's because you need to drive it and it will reset itself". I drove it across town to another discount tire and a salesman by the name of Collin assisted me. I explained to him the issue. He went out and got them all back in synch. If only the first discount tire would have taken the time to make it right. The customer should drive off satisfied with the service and not be told "oh it will go away" read more

L...O...V...E this place. My daughter had a flat at work but wasn't going to be off until after closing. I switched out her tire for the spare and headed over here knowing it was 45 minutes until closing and could see their bays were full. They still had no problem checking out my tire, inspected it in front of me to verify it needed to be replaced vs repaired (showed me where the damage to the run-flat was) and had a new tire on the rim in minutes. My go-to place definitely. read more

Needed 3 new tires on our PT Cruiser. Took it into Discount Tire. Was given a price for 3 tires installed. Told us that the vehicle would be ready around 4pm. When the car was completed they said $$ & I issued a check. They processed the check & gave me a copy of the bill. Before we drove off we looked at the bill & there was a charge of $66.00, so my husband went inside & asked what the charge was for. He was informed that you purchase the tires from them & then they charge $22.00 per tire to put it on the wheel. Not once were we informed of that charge. My husband had a TIRE shop for over 41 years. The customer knew exactly what the TOTAL amount would be before work was started. No wonder they wanted to know if we wanted to pay up front. Bad business practice. read more

Went to 2 discount tire. This is Discount Tire in Bee Cave Austin. THEN made an appointment to Discount tires @ Staples Corpus Christi was told there's 10 more cars ahead of you, it will be 1 hour to 1 hour and 45 minutes. I just went to the Discount Tire at 6654 S Staples St, Corpus Christi, TX 78413, on 12/18/2014 to get a rotation and balance on my tires that had about 7300 miles on them. Everyone treated me so well as they did everyone that walked into the shop. Carlos helped me get a warranty on my tires since I like to have Discount's warranties on all my cars. Clay was the manager and he greeted everyone as they walked in and his enthusiasm and care for his customers was evident even when helping them on the phone. He greeted me immediately when I walked in even though he and all the technicians were very busy helping others. I was directed to the hot coffee, water, restrooms and seating by Carlos and enjoyed my wait time in the comfortable CLEAN surroundings. And the young man who came to get me and brought my car around was terrific and explained all the things they did. I didn't get his name but you could see Clay's leadership in action in all his employees. KUDOS to this shop! read more

Be careful as they will try to tack on an extra package to your price that you may not want.

I just bought 4 new tires a day ago. When I got home they looked a little low, so when I got oil changed yesterday, I had them check the tires. 3 out of 4 tires where 6-8 psi low!!!! I have called twice asking to speak with a manager, left my name and number and no one has called me back. I have never yelped good or bad service but since tires are so important to safety, I feel I should write this. Maybe it's just this location that is incompetent? Never would I think that a nation wide chain that exclusively does tires, would do such a terrible job. Would NEVER go back and anyone that's needs tires, you are better off doing it yourself. Even my 60 year old mother can put the correct amount of air in all 4 tires.... read more

I had ordered some times and I had to call to see if they were in or not. They got overlooked and it took them a while to find them but they had been sitting at the store a while. I really liked that they cared and making sure I was safe. Good place to go to. read more

I'm so disappointed about the way they serve customers. My car has lost one wheel because some desperate people stole it. so I came to buy a tire at this store. My car uses RUN FLAT TIRE so I don't have a spare wheel. I wanted to loan a spare wheel so I can run my car to the store and install the wheel in. They refused and tricked me to buy a spare wheel which I don't need it. Then I asked them to let me borrow tools ( sockets and wrench), they told me to go to RALLY STORE and buy it. Wtf!!!! I just bought a tire from them which costs almost $400 and they can't lend me some sockets. I was so angry and disappointed. I have no choice but to come here and buy the tire, otherwise, this store wouldn't deserve even my one star. read more
