Filled my tank a couple of months ago, ran out of propane! Called Discount, told them I have a leak, "no problem that will be $139.50"! What? It's your tank, it's your equipment that you charge me for maintenance ! "Oh you are correct sir". They billed me $139.50, and refilled the tank, that leaked hundreds of $$ worth of propane, manager refused to talk to me! Oh and they added an additional "propane recovery fee" of $24.99 to both invoices! They are money hungry and care less about Customer service! read more

I had a very disappointing experience with this propane company. Communication was poor, and it was extremely difficult to get updates or timely responses. The service was unreliable, and I felt like my concerns were not taken seriously. read more

Horrible practices! Was late with my tank fee of $25 due to my credit card being renewed and instead of calling, they just show up my door. I only just received the invoice this week since I have been on automatic pay for THIRTEEN YEARS!!! The kicker is the card number is the same, only the expiration date is advanced. Charge me a late fee but do not just show up!! It was $25 for the f's sake. We don't even use it, would tell them to remove it if didn't think they'd tear up my yard!! read more

Had them for 13 years the one day I smelled gas outside my house. I called them on a Friday at 5 PM. Left a message on their voicemail that I have a gas leak at my house and I'm pretty nervous. Can somebody call me back ASAP? nobody ever called back. I called on Saturday left another message told them I have a gas leak and then I called again on Monday. Left a number with their answering service who promised me they would call me on Tuesday morning. They never called me. I did figure out how to turn off the gas and found out their regulator that they installed in November when they filled my tank for $450 went bad and they told me over the phone finally that I had to pay $85 for a new regulator in the $450 to refill the tank that the gas all leaked out of in just a few months never mind the disregard of a gas leak. They never called me back so I asked him to discontinue my service pick up their tank and we are done since they don't care about our safety and was going to charge me for their equipment going faulty. It took him another month to come out and pick up their tank. Customer service is horrible and I would not recommend them to anybody.!!!! read more

Terrible company. Charged $55 for "Labor - Service" and "Fuel Recovery" after a tech showed up unannounced and didn't provide any service. He came to "collect an unpaid bill" that I provided him with proof of payment for, and then left after without providing any service to charge for. They were very rude when calling to ask about the charges stating "if a tech arrived at your house, then you have to pay". Unfortunately, their tank was on our property when we purchased. They charge a fee to remove their tank from your property so we left it but now are regretting it. Avoid this company if at all possible. read more

Not a company for small orders. In my many professional years working with propane companies', I never have had a company refuse service. I would never envision a propane company tell me to take large tanks, unable to properly secure them on highways and traffic. Safety is not first at discount propane. I would not recommend to my worst enemy. read more

Thought I had ordered a fill up. 2 weeks till they could come. They had a service charge as well as a (high) per gallon rate. I found faster service(cheeper too) and when I called to cancel their delivery I was told I wasn't scheduled for a delivery just a "safety check". So I was scheduled for a 2 week wait for no propane and a pricy safety check. Only Discount I was getting was in service. read more

I was a customer for 2 years. Filled my underground propane tank for my whole home generator twice. They required a $200 deposit for the account. I have since sold my home and requested to close account and receive my deposit. It's been 2 months since I have contacted the Debary Office to issue a refund check for the deposit. As of today, 12 June, I STILL DO NOT have my deposit back. How difficult can this be? I have called numerous times and get the run around on why it hasn't been issued or something of the sort that "it should have been issued". If you read this Discount Propane, Please return my deposit. read more

Worst service ever. Billed for time the driver sat in his truck when he left. When I called they claimed he did work he didn't do and the office said it's his word against mine and my wife's. Please avoid this company. If I didn't have a tankful of propane I'd have it hauled out today. read more

I would give them negative stars if I could. Renting a tank from them and noticed it was leaking, so I called them to help. It's now been over 3 weeks and the tank is completely empty, so not only have they not fixed their tank, I lost over $300 of gas. Told me they would be out last week, never showed, called and was told they would call me back today twice, and they did. These people are horrible customer service. Stay away from doing anything with them. They can't be trusted. Anyone saying different is lying to you. read more

This service is the worst company I have ever associated with. Aside from one decent representative, I was being charged when there was a gas leak, and all they representatives wanted was to collect money from me. I'm disgusted that a business can not be held accountable for their negligence. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and hire legal counsel if they can not compensate me for failing to find a gas leak and continue to charge me fees on top of fees. Unsatisfactory and unprofessional communication exists as well within the company. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Had to call and speak with Bonnie the manager 3x. On one call of a rather large issue where their tech did not do his job she informed us that she wasn't sure what was going on and that we were the 3 job in the past week to report the same issue. She didn't seem to concerned. Would not recommend this company at all read more

Great customer service and great management. I have been a customer for a very long time and have never been disappointed. Looking at adding some fire bowls and gas lights. read more

This company has very poor customer service. The are "bill happy" and care zero about service and a lot about getting your money. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. Apparently with all the profit they make from their "customers" they do not use that to hire good people. Stay away from this place. read more
