I asked the gentleman up front if he could help me and he said "sorry man, I'm new to growing too". I asked if there was anybody else here who could help and he told me yes but they were in the back and too busy to help me too. I thought it was strange that they would put somebody up front alone that has no knowledge of the product they sell. I looked around for a bit but unfortunately I was not able to figure things out so I left.

dont trust that dusher that left the bad review. iv been going to DH for a few years now and iv never had a prob with anything. i was drivng to there riverside store from PS before they had the one in PS. iv been on the phone with the guys down at DH for 20min at a time getting help with a prob im having in my room and thay dont rush you at all untill its worked out. thats impossable to get anywhere. its one thing to have somewhere to shop that has everything you need and another thing when that same place has a staff that will give up there time to let you know whats up. good looking out!! read more

Wow, I can't say enough about this place! From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted by a friendly and knowlegble group of workers who were able to answer all my questions and teach me a few new things as well. I have never been to a hydro store where the staff was willing to step in and help me find everything I needed from start to finish. Not only did I find everything I came for at an awesome price, I also picked up some free samples! I definitely recommend this store to any serious grower or beginner who is passionate about growing. read more

A few moths ago this place was taken over by new management. The new staff listens to the customers. Not only did they listen to our concerns and requests, but they actually kept their word and ordered the products we needed. Thanks to that I was able to get my grow on. I received an Azalea that arrived severely stressed and completely dehydrated. I reached out to customer service "George" expecting a replacement plant or a refund, but his response was "Just water it." For the price paid, I expected a healthy plant, not a resuscitation project. Telling a customer to water a plant that arrived in this condition is a complete brush-off. Save your money and buy from a nursery that actually stands behind the quality of their plants. I won't be shopping here again.

My wife wanted some more Santa Rita cactus this year, but we don't have enough space or need for a $600 order, so we opted to pay the extra NorCal shipping fee for our order... they contacted us and said they would not ship it unless we bought $600 worth. I told them never mind, then, and to just cancel and refund the order. George replied "Ok sure ill check to see what we can do for you. Thanks" ... this was over a month ago, but I never got a refund, and the order is still just listed as processing/pending, and the order was placed in NOVEMBER. I have opened a BBB dispute, but the BBB just keeps saying they can't get a response. Guess I have to dispute the charge on my card or take them to small claims court...

I tell you I…read morejust had an experience that I needed a particular root stock on a plum tree I wanted to plant in the backyard. I had called the nursery that is located about seven minutes from my house. It's not Parkview. I asked them if they had the particular root stock and tree in stock. Their response basically was we have that variety of tree Santa Rosa plum but we don't know what route stocks we have. I said can you look and tell me. Their answer was no if you want to see you can come down and look. After hanging up the phone and disbelief, I called Parkview nursery on Chicago Avenue and again I got the outstanding service that I'm used to there. I told the gentleman who answered the phone what I was looking for he said let him check. He came back in about a minute and told me that they had that rootstock, but asked me why I wanted that particular type of rootstock. I explained to my situation and the type of soil and he recommended a better root stock that I was not familiar with. I had even gone on the Dave Wilson Nursery the supplier of fruit trees and it didn't catch my attention. He was absolutely right the root stock that he recommended was 100 times better and they also had that in stock. Needless to say, I got in my car drove the 35 minutes. It was greeted with outstanding customer service by every employee I ran into. If you are looking for a true outstanding nursery, this is the place to come. They have caring employees who really want your landscaping/gardening adventure to be successful.
