Great staff and great service. The room is very private and great size with 2 wireless mics and a tablet for your song choice. I would recommend this location for anyone who is looking for a karaoke bar and wants a good time.

TL;DR -- always a fun time! Pretty wide selection of songs, really easy to go with groups. Book in…read moreadvance! If I'm going to be in downtown Toronto and I'm going to have a big group, I always pick Bar+ if they're available on the day I'm looking for (and if it's not a Monday -- they're closed on Mondays which I found out by just trying to roll up to the spot!) Bar+ makes group karaoke easy because they have various sizes of rooms, a wide selection of songs (with some recent songs too!) If you're really worried about song choices, there's an app you can download to your phone in which you can browse their entire catalogue whether you're there or not. Bonus, the app also acts as a way to have more than 1 device to add songs into the queue once you're in a room! PRO TIP: if the song listed has the "MTV" tag, it usually. means it's literally just the music video with no lyrics. The other reason Bar+ makes group karaoke easy is that you can go out to the bar to order your own alcohol, or order bottles (of soju) to bring into the room to share, and you pay each time you go out to the bar. One thing to call out -- DON'T throw your bottles into the trash cans in the rooms! The bottles get collected by the staff for recycling! I think there's a service button on the same tablet you input your songs, but I'm pretty sure you can also go out to the bar and ask them to collect empty bottles.

Echo Karaoke is one of the karaoke bars at Chinatown that offers happy hour. It is located at the…read moresecond level of the Dragon City mall. Between 3pm to 8:30pm you can sing as much as you want for only $15 per person and it includes a free non-alcoholic drink and unlimited water! Since the karaoke bar is relatively newer than the others nearby, the sound system and the furnitures are better too. Considering that the price is the same as other places, I would definitely recommend checking out Echo for happy hour karaoke singing. To pick your songs, you can browse through the touchscreen menu to select the songs you want. You need someone in your party who can read Chinese as I don't think the menu has an English mode, though they do have lots of English songs to choose from including the recent ones. Also, keep in mind that no matter how big your room is, each room only gets 2 mics to sing from, so it may be more reasonable to split into 2 rooms if your party is too big. You can call ahead to book a room for your party, this is when we found out that they are owned by the same people who runs 8090KTV across the street lol. Outside of the happy hours, they have other pricing structures such as by per hour or by per person. Since I have never been here during other times, I cannot say how reasonable their prices are, but just for happy hour, Echo is now my favourite karaoke bar in Chinatown.

Went here for karaoke with my family. It's ~$45/hour and they only accept cash. The karaoke rooms…read moreare spacious with plenty of seating, but the music selection process is complicated and a lot of the songs that we wanted to sing (all of which were quite popular) were not offered.

There is something…read moreabout trapped in a private room together, belting out early 90's classics together and just being in your feelings. Freezone is located in the heart of Koreatown, just a hop, skip and a jump away from Christie subway station. While it is not as high-end and up to date as let's say Bar+ (near Yonge and Wellesley), you are still going to have a decent enough time. The venue is on the lower floor, so you'll be walking to a basement level, but the entrance is lit up by glowing neon lights. Each room varies in size, but each time I have gone with a group of ten or more. The couches and tables look like something you'd find on Craiglist, but don't worry - they are clean. Honestly, it's set up like you're having a karaoke session your living room and it's kind of awesome. And let's be honest: you're here for the music. The song selections are a bit dates, but you're going to find all the classics (Wannabe by the Spice Girls: check. Semi Charmed Life by Semi-Sonic, check.) Drinks are cheap. You can bring in your own snacks, so stop at the T&T Market ahead of time or order a pizza. Either way, you're in for a fun night. And honestly, just have fun.

I almost missed Freezone; you walk a few steps down to the basement level of the building to get your singing on. Pricing isn't too bad. It's actually quite reasonable if you're with some friends for a night out. $20/hour/room Under $10 for all alcoholic drinks except for Soju Good for: karaoke, groups, night out
