Dirty Burger is exactly what the name implies: A dirty, messy burger that you don't go to when you want a gourmet burger. You come to get this burger if you're in a hurry and need a quick lunch or dinner. Or if you're out drinking and you need some fortification to get you through the night. Or if you're hella hung-over and you need something greasy to get you through the morning. That's what this burger is about. I had the bacon burger with onion fries. The burger itself is really tasty, with a great mustard sauce and nice, thick bacon. For my taste, the burger itself is cooked too much. A burger should be medium-rare and this is more medium to medium-well. The onion fries are heavenly, like onion rings, just not in rings. And made with red onions, which are far superior in onion world. If I'm in the area and need a quick bite, I'd come back. I just wouldn't go out of my way go come back.

Dirty Burger unlike Byron, Five Guys and Honest Burgers does things more downscale while having upmarket burgers like having a shackhouse setting with hard seats. I went for their recent addition "The Dirty Bird" which is a chicken burger with a tomato slice on top, salad and sauce. It tasted great, although some of the sauce did drip out the burger when eating it. You can watch your burgers being cooked and the smell does come your way while you're waiting so it makes you even hungrier. Their prices start from £5/6 for burgers and sides are £4. Drinks both soft and hard are available. They even do a £6 combo (burger and side) from Mon-Fri 12pm to 6pm. This venue is small so it's OK to sit during quieter times, but is packed understandably during evenings especially Friday/Saturday.

Early last year I discovered the Vauxhall branch and instantly became a convert to the Church of Dirty Burger, crowning it my favourite burger experience ever. Today I found myself within an acceptable distance of this branch to warrant a detour and sample their wares. There are three items on the menu. Dirty Burger, Dirty Bacon or Dirty Cop Out (vegetarian). You should note the vegetarian option is cooked on the same hot plate as the beef and bacon, so any remotely serious vegetarian will turn their nose up at it. Anyway, we ordered our food and waited. It wasn't mega busy but the burgers did seem to take a while to come. At least this meant we had managed to get some seats by the time the food was ready. There are maybe 10 chairs in the whole place. The two things I love about Dirty Burger are the burgers and the onion fries. The burger here was good but not quite as good as the ones I've had at the Vauxhall branch. Great flavour but not rare enough here. It was pink in the middle, but not as pink as I wanted it. The onion fries were great. Chunks of red onion deep fried in a light tempura batter that's mixed with cider, then lavished with sea salt crystals and pepper. They are to die for, which is handy because eat too many and they'll probably kill you. It was still a great Dirty Burger, but not enough to steal the crown from Vauxhall. Sorry Shoreditch, but you hipsters can't always be the coolest kids on the block.

I love this place! It's quite small and cosy inside with not much seating space (hence the 4 stars) but the food is super tasty and the fries are magical. I recommend the cheeseburger. It comes with everything in it and they even give you a wet wipe for your hands as you get messy!

I'm not a "meat person"..generally. I mostly just eat chicken, but occasionally decadance calls for something fat, juicy and overwhelmingly "meaty". A good burger may not be a daily occurence in our household but when done well it is a reason not to become a veggie. I'm glad to say that this tiny place opposite the BoxPark does just that..and how! First..the "tiny" reference. Yes, it is tiny indeed-just 3-4 stools overlooking the kitchen and 2-3 communal tables. I would imagine it would be almost impossible to get a seat later in the evening, but don't taske my word for that. We went at 6 and got two stools at the front, which was fine, but beware for later. We watched the grill man do his thing. First thing I learned was that the burgers are all cooked to order-from raw. No pre-cooking here. Each is allowed to cook under its own dome shaped lid, just as I've seen on US Food Network shows. The menu is small-just a couple or so of burgers, fries and onion rings. I had the cheeseburger. It was done to perfection-the meat was tender, juicy and with a real taste, as if it was well matured. Not the biggest burger I've had but this was more than made up for in taste. The fries were clean and crisp as were the onion rings. Altogether brilliant!

Amazing burgers, tasty, fresh ingredients. Just too much pepper, without that it will be a 5 stars place.

The food was good but a little expensive since chips don't come with the burger. I really enjoyed the milkshake as well.

Final verdict? I only ate burgers one my entire trip at London, and it was at Burger & Beyond, but I can confidently say that it was one of the best burgers I've EVER had. I made a reservation for lunch at 12pm on a Wednesday. We ended up showing up 15 minutes past our reservation time due to delays on the Tube, but one of staff members was chill and had no problem with us arriving late. In general, customer service was amazing. Our server was friendly. Not as attentive, but that's what I expected at this point having been in Europe for 3 weeks. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner as well. Burger & Beyond has a lunch special by which a burger and chips were 10 Pounds. I got the Bougie Burger (single patty, double cheese, marrow mayo, steak sauce 2.0, and beef onions), and it was excellent. If I had to nit pick anything, it would've been nice if the bun was toasted. My fiancé got the Bacon Butter burger, and he was blown away by his as well. Sidenote: the best fries I've had in my 3 week trip in Europe was neither from Paris nor Brussels but in London at Beyond & Burger. Golden and crispy goodness.

I'm a big fan of the Honest Burgers chain. Pretty much their entire food menu is gluten-free; all you need to do is swap out a regular bun for a gluten-free one. The prices are also really reasonable, especially for London. My food cost a little more than it would have done compared to my local Honest Burgers in Manchester. The restaurant is over two floors, the main seating area is downstairs however, on the ground level, there is a large bar with bar-style seating - ideal for a quick lunch, and there is also an outdoor seating area - ideal once in a blue moon when we get some half decent weather in this country. I did find it unusual to hear that they are closed on Sundays, although there are plenty of other Honest Burgers restaurants within walking distance as an alternative. They were quiet on my visit, though, so perhaps this location appeals more to office workers looking to grab a quick lunch than typical diners. They do add a service charge onto the bill here; however, this is the case at all other Honest restaurants and pretty much everywhere in London - a practice I don't agree with, as I feel it should be the customer's to decide how much they want to tip - if at all! The food was excellent. I had the gluten-free Buffalo chicken burger, which was delicious. The flavours worked perfectly together--the heat of the buffalo sauce balanced beautifully with the coolness of the ranch mayo with the American cheese. The buttermilk fried chicken patty was very good, too--thick, juicy, and not at all dry--served on a bed of crisp lettuce. As far as chicken burgers go, this is one of Honest's best, coming in second only to the previous local special in Liverpool. The cleanliness of the restaurant could certainly be better - I had to wipe some crumbs off the table, and I was given a pot to put my sauces in, which was dirty. My server was nice enough, but again, I feel the service is better at their Northern locations in Manchester and Liverpool. 4* - While it might not have been the best dining experience I had during my time in London, it was certainly the best value for money, despite issues with cleanliness, my food was good and I would return for sure.

Listen, set your expectations about dining here accordingly. - It is pricey - It is DECADENT - You will be rolling out of here and do not expect to get hungry again for dinner lol - See note above about who eats here Now that we're on the same page... we highly enjoyed our meal! We started with a couple oysters each which were probably the best oysters I've had in a while. Excellent. Then I got the B&L combo, which was their classic burger, half steamed lobster (with a rich lemon butter sauce on the side), fries, and dipping ketchup and mayo on the side as well. The burger is very tasty, super rich, fairly messy. On the "wetter" side of burgers. The lobster is presented nicely, pre cracked for ease. The meat tastes fresh, sweet, with a nice bite. The fries too were good! Very classic, nothing crazy, hot and lightly crisp. One thing that surprised me - when ordering, the server asked if I wanted cheese and bacon on my burger. Not knowing any better, and thinking she was just checking that everything on the burger worked for me, I said yes. These were both up charges. We were also charged for the water, which I figured we would be when they opened a fancy bottle of still water in front of us. Not sure if there was an option for still filtered water. The up charges just weren't really communicated. Not a big deal compared to the price of the meals, but I could see this being iffy to some, so noting!
