If your website says "open until 9 pm," and someone comes at 8:50 pm, your staff cannot (or should not) say to the customer "we've closed the kitchen already," because then, technically speaking, you're closed! And you can close anytime you want (that is your right), but if you're going to close everything down before 9 pm, and you're only keeping the doors open whilst you clean the kitchen, then update your website and let customers know what time you stop serving food, so people, like myself, don't make an effort to walk all the way to your establishment only to be told, "sorry, we have no food at all because we've closed our kitchen." What you are doing makes no sense!!!!! If your business is the restaurant business, but a customer can't purchase any food, then why are you saying your restaurant is "open until 9 pm" on your website???? Your doors might be open, and one can physically enter the establishment, but people don't come to stare at the walls! They are coming there to eat! But they can't, because you've closed everything down already. Just close the store in that case and spare customers from having to enter and be rejected! read more
