    Chicken Sandwich

Really enjoyed this place while in London. Stopped in on a whim and here's what I found. Staff was great. Very kind and quick. The ambiance was very casual cool place to swing into. The food is casual quick service and very good. I had the chicken sandwich and fries (chips). It came out fast and again tasted great. You won't regret stopping by.

    Portobello burger, cheese balls

Had the portobello burger which is vegetarian - it was delicious! The sauce is very cheesy and the portobello fried but still juicy inside. Overall the seasoning is on point. The buns were more on the soft side (brioche) but I did like it. Pretty busy during weekday lunch break. Waited for a table for 3 min and the staff duly warned us that food would arrive 20 min after ordering before we seated. However the food arrived pretty quickly, say around in 10 min. Nice vibe. Friendly staff. The only reason not giving five star is that it's got more of a hip / urban / chain vibe which I wouldn't say is a unique experience

I had a smokey burger today, that is one of the monthly specials. The taste was good but i wish the bun was a bit more crunchy. It came out a bit soggy for my taste.

This was a carb-coma inducing lunch which I did regret about an hour into the dreadfully boring insurance presentations I had to endure in the afternoon. But I love P&B in general and seized the opportunity to introduce my fellow Birmingham based colleagues accompanying me to the Smoke to the place. Absolutely smashed a smokey Robinson with brisket chips and a Ting. Service excellent, only waited a few minutes despite it being peak lunch time, and didn't get a drop on my crisp white shirt.

Ari Gold on the left, smokey Robinson on the right. Confit wings and rosemary salt chips. You know how it is.

I've always been a fan of Patty&Bun, whenever I'm quizzed for my burger expertise, Patty&Bun comes top on my recommendations, unless you love chips, then Honest Burgers will hit it out the ball park for you. When I found out that you could potentially get your dirty hands on a delightful "Ari Gold" or "Smokey Robinson", without having to queue, I got straight on it. The Burgers at this joint are wonderful, they have the best toasted brioche bun I've ever laid my hands on, it's toasty, slightly sweet and perfectly in proportion with the filling. The meat is always cooked to order, medium rare means medium rare here. Thank you. The rosemary salt chips were ever so slightly too dry, but you're forgiven. When it comes to the confit wings, I've always been on the fence, The texture and fall of f the bone meat is perfect, but the taste always leave me ever so slightly perplexed. but this is a very personal preference. There are only two downsides to this place, the lack of waiting definitely isn't one. But the ambiance does seem to be lacking, if you've been to the Patty&Bun on St. James' street, this one just doesn't give the same small table cramped hipster eating feel, which I thought I hated, but turns out I love. The second complaint is the depleted menu, it's not like the original menu was extensive but they cut out "Lambshank Redemption" - a delicious lamb burger found in the St. James' St branch - not to mention the drinks too. All in all though, considering the quick service, no need to wait, how much closer it is to work. I'm thrilled that Patty&Bun have come to Liverpool St. I just hope non-foodies don't have the good fortune of stumbling across it.

Real greasy juicy burgers. I particularly love the toasted brioche bunch that had a sweet taste to it ?! I am not normally a Burger Torah but this place changed my view towards burgers. The beef patties were cooked to profession. I asked for medium rare and it is what I got. beef was very moist and juicy with no dryness nonsense. Wasn't a big fan of the chilli wings though. Way too much sauce. A Bit pricey compared to others places, sides were not included.

Definitely one of the best burger places in town that's surely going to put you in a food coma! This branch is a lot smaller compared to the main Marylebone one but a fraction of the waiting time. It gets busy during lunch hours with all the city workers but they have a quick take away window just like in a lot of New York munchies. It's full of messy goodness and I usually go for the Ari gold which just oozes with melted cheese and caramelised onions on top of the juicy beef. (It really gets messy so I wouldn't recommend eating it outside!) And now the bbq chicken wings are hard to miss...it just falls off the bone! I definitely want to try the crispy chicken burger next time which just spills out from the bun with lots of garlic aioli!

Who would have thought a absolutely delicious burger would be located in the middle of London! Although a very small place, these burgers are piled high and taste wonderful! a small shop, you walk in and order, they will bring this amazing burger to you! I got the Jackie Robinson and my cousin and friend got the Ari-Gold!! all of em looked great, the best part.... the fries even tasted great! if your in London and craving a great burger!! this is the place... I didn't believe a burger in London could taste this good, but it proved me wrong!! Great spot!

Oh, Patty & Bun, you haven for the messiest most delicious burgers I've ever had the pleasure of eating. No other burger can compare to you in my eyes. I cannot stop signing praises for this place or for this burger. Dinner on my first night back in Liverpool and of course I'm gonna get the Smokey Robinson for take away. Brought it back to my flat and pretty much devoured it within minutes. Caramelised onions and bacon on a juicy medium rare patty, balanced between a sweet brioche bun. Basically perfection! All the words in the world can't accurately describe how tasty these burgers are so I think you're just gonna have to come here and try it for yourself.

Wow. Perfect place to grab a quick but excellent burger. Great vibe, workers are super professionals. MUCH BETTER than "Honest Bur". Thanks guys @ P&B, I love you :)

"Smoke Cheese everyday" burgers all round
    Cais M.

My absolute best burger joint in the world. Never tasted a better burger than the "Smoke Cheese everyday" burger at P&B. Believe me, I've tried everywhere from greasy and dirty up to gourmet £20 burgers. None taste as good or as satisfying. Try it and you'll thank me. The chips with chicken skin salt and roast chicken mayo are to die for too. Would happily eat here everyday.

    Arigold!
    Emily C.

My previous experience Patty&Bun experience was the one over at James Street. I would say this branch over here at Liverpool Street is more of a take-away place compared and had to wait quite a while for us to get a table. I went for the Arigold cheeseburger with a side of rosemary salt chips. The beef patty was juicy, mayo and ketchup were added to the right amount sandwiched between two warm fluffy brioche. Rosemary chips gave off a good crisp too! Would head back for the consistency of quality in their burgers!

Amazing burger, fries, and drinks. Ketchup tastes a little too tomato-ie but everything else smacks.

Final verdict? I only ate burgers one my entire trip at London, and it was at Burger & Beyond, but I can confidently say that it was one of the best burgers I've EVER had. I made a reservation for lunch at 12pm on a Wednesday. We ended up showing up 15 minutes past our reservation time due to delays on the Tube, but one of staff members was chill and had no problem with us arriving late. In general, customer service was amazing. Our server was friendly. Not as attentive, but that's what I expected at this point having been in Europe for 3 weeks. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner as well. Burger & Beyond has a lunch special by which a burger and chips were 10 Pounds. I got the Bougie Burger (single patty, double cheese, marrow mayo, steak sauce 2.0, and beef onions), and it was excellent. If I had to nit pick anything, it would've been nice if the bun was toasted. My fiancé got the Bacon Butter burger, and he was blown away by his as well. Sidenote: the best fries I've had in my 3 week trip in Europe was neither from Paris nor Brussels but in London at Beyond & Burger. Golden and crispy goodness.

I'm a big fan of the Honest Burgers chain. Pretty much their entire food menu is gluten-free; all you need to do is swap out a regular bun for a gluten-free one. The prices are also really reasonable, especially for London. My food cost a little more than it would have done compared to my local Honest Burgers in Manchester. The restaurant is over two floors, the main seating area is downstairs however, on the ground level, there is a large bar with bar-style seating - ideal for a quick lunch, and there is also an outdoor seating area - ideal once in a blue moon when we get some half decent weather in this country. I did find it unusual to hear that they are closed on Sundays, although there are plenty of other Honest Burgers restaurants within walking distance as an alternative. They were quiet on my visit, though, so perhaps this location appeals more to office workers looking to grab a quick lunch than typical diners. They do add a service charge onto the bill here; however, this is the case at all other Honest restaurants and pretty much everywhere in London - a practice I don't agree with, as I feel it should be the customer's to decide how much they want to tip - if at all! The food was excellent. I had the gluten-free Buffalo chicken burger, which was delicious. The flavours worked perfectly together--the heat of the buffalo sauce balanced beautifully with the coolness of the ranch mayo with the American cheese. The buttermilk fried chicken patty was very good, too--thick, juicy, and not at all dry--served on a bed of crisp lettuce. As far as chicken burgers go, this is one of Honest's best, coming in second only to the previous local special in Liverpool. The cleanliness of the restaurant could certainly be better - I had to wipe some crumbs off the table, and I was given a pot to put my sauces in, which was dirty. My server was nice enough, but again, I feel the service is better at their Northern locations in Manchester and Liverpool. 4* - While it might not have been the best dining experience I had during my time in London, it was certainly the best value for money, despite issues with cleanliness, my food was good and I would return for sure.

We started with a couple oysters each which were probably the best oysters I've had in a while. Excellent. Then I got the B&L combo, which was their classic burger, half steamed lobster (with a rich lemon butter sauce on the side), fries, and dipping ketchup and mayo on the side as well. The burger is very tasty, super rich, fairly messy. On the "wetter" side of burgers. The lobster is presented nicely, pre cracked for ease. The meat tastes fresh, sweet, with a nice bite. The fries too were good! Very classic, nothing crazy, hot and lightly crisp. One thing that surprised me - when ordering, the server asked if I wanted cheese and bacon on my burger. Not knowing any better, and thinking she was just checking that everything on the burger worked for me, I said yes. These were both up charges. We were also charged for the water, which I figured we would be when they opened a fancy bottle of still water in front of us. Not sure if there was an option for still filtered water. The up charges just weren't really communicated. Not a big deal compared to the price of the meals, but I could see this being iffy to some, so noting!
