Meet the Business Owner: Tonya A.

My interest in archaeology opened up the area of pottery. So much of our human past, our interactions within communities, our art and decorations, our desire to travel, trade and expand, our progression as humans and our religious beliefs have been recorded on clay objects. My passion for " digging up the past " and my desire to add to human history, is shown in my hand crafted clay pottery. Sometimes the old ways can bring us back in touch with Mother Earth and back in touch with ourselves. In creating a piece of pottery, I try to put some of myself and the joy I feel while working with the clay in every piece, making it special and unique. I love letting the Clay *tell me, what It wants to be.. I craft Functional Pottery ( Mugs, Bowls, Platters, Serving Plates, Pitchers, Honey Pots, Apple Bakers, Bean Pots ect..) and Folk Garden Art ( Turtle-Frog-Lizards Houses, Magical Mushrooms, Bird Houses ect..) every little thing needs a home..
